Fantastic experience: Booked Shropshire Physiotherapy after a recommendation from a friend. I had a long standing injury (over 5 years) that kept coming back. Amy listened intently, made an assessment, then with a process of exercises to do at home and soft tissue massage we got it under control. I have gradually increased my exercise and have not regressed but I still do my "homework" several times a week.

Fantastic experience: I started visiting Ben in April 2025 with a rather painful knee and waking up with pain. I was seen within 1 week of my initial phone call and Ben explained to me that my pain was due to week muscles and I was asking my knee to do too much. I just need to strengthen my leg muscles -simple! I was set 4 lots of excercises and the app really helped me to get them right and reminded me to keep going. I visited Ben for progress, updates and massages for 4 months and my pain has significantly reduced as most days I’m pain free.

Scott offers both early (7am) and evening appointments which has fit in well with my working hours. I have followed a course of tailor-made exercises and am greatly improved.

Fantastic experience: Denise Alexander The pain in my foot has been debilitating for decades, despite using orthotic insoles from various sources. Some had accentuated the problem. Thank you Scott for your expertise and the orthotic insoles you devised for me ;I no longer have this pain and I walk comfortably. Fantastic experience: Scott has treated me for some time for a lower back problem. I started having massages with his colleague which helped but I felt I needed more of a plan. Scott really helped me understand what was going on, he loosened my back & gave me exercises to do. I have gone from being in pain all the time, taking multiple tablets & having nerve blocker injections every few months, to running 10k, regular exercise & no need of injections for over 6 months now & i'm hoping not to need them again!

Hannah has given me exercises and great advice as well as utilizing different techniques to rehabilitate my elbow tendon. I am now pain free and have only Hannah to thank for this. Fantastic experience: I can highly recommend The Back and Body Clinic, over the years I have visited several practitioners and they have all been excellent. Reception staff are welcoming and helpful and always put you at ease.

Fantastic experience: I had an Achilles heel problem that did not get better with rest and time. Scott worked on the inflamed tendon and gave exercises to strengthen it. He also looked into why I have issues with it. I now have a pair of corrective insoles 3d printed to support my foot. I am now running and walking pain free and looking forward to getting back to my previous pace. Great service from Scott and the team.

Fantastic experience: I broke my tibia in March and felt concerned with the advice that I had been given. I booked in to see Scott Gormley on the advice of a friend who only had positive things to say about him. I am so glad that I did. Scott was reassuring about the steps that I needed to be taking to aid the recovery of my leg. He was clear and direct about the best way to be doing this. A few months later, I am in a much better position all thanks to Scott and his expert guidance. In fact he is so good that, even after moving to Cornwall, I have travelled back to Newport for a final session. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Scott to anyone.

I first visited Scott in November 2024 and with his help and exercise programme they sorted out my neck and shoulder pain. I could hardly move my head now I have full movement in my neck and shoulder. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are struggling with pain.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service from body and back I first went to see Scott Gormley with a problem I had with my ankle. I could hardly walk when I went in and after 30 minutes work on it I could walk on it again with no pain at all. At the time I was also having problems with my lower back. I had been referred by my GP to have physio on the nhs which was hopeless he told me to drink plenty of water and improve my posture when walking ! I decided to see Scott again about this he again worked on it and gave me a dedicated exercise program. After a few sessions I am now so much better. I would recommend Body and Back to any one. Fantastic experience: May 2025 Hello Scott. Just a few words to thank you for your second intervention. I had a fall in January and thought of you as I had lost some confidence and had been stumbling a little. I think problems with my core strength and a lack of ability to exercise in the way I have been accustomed. Following a session with you I came away with a number of exercises targeting the issues and am delighted to say they have helped to restore my confidence and posture and enabled me to get back to the work and sport I really enjoy. While I had booked a follow up session, I had to travel back to France a little earlier than expected and the exercises, combined with being in the warm weather and beautiful countryside have enabled me to feel fighting fit again. I had severe ankle pain from an unknown cause and after countless NHS appointments and private scans I was no further forward as to what was wrong. Fantastic experience: I was referred by my specialist to see Scott Gormley specifically as he said Scott is highly regarded and really knows his field of expertise, and he was not wrong! I have seen so many physiotherapists over the years due to a long term injury, but I can honestly say Scott is the best I have ever been to, the exercises I was given were very unique and specific to the issue and I started to see improvement very quickly. My son then saw Scott, as he had a knee injury, and was compensating by putting his weight on the opposite side. Scott gave him an exercise programme that has really helped with postural alignment, and now he can do his much loved sports without pain and with equal balance. We had some bespoke shoe inserts made and fitted by Scott which have also been a huge help, so I would definitely recommend them. My husband has also seen Scott with a long term injury and he has helped him with a specifically tailored exercise programme. Thank you Scott for helping all three of us to get pain free.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Hannah for keeping my niggling achilles tendon and niggling knees at bay using the Tecar machine, while I trained for my first walking trail marathon. Fantastic experience: Scott was able to get my ankle back to a point where I could run again. He was supportive & encouraging at all stages. And this weekend I was able to walk a particularly challenging 14 mile hilly hike with no ankle issues! Yippee!

Fantastic experience: I brought my 14 year old to Shropshire Physiotherapy to address an injury that was keeping him out of football (and other activities) and Scott has been fantastic. He was very welcoming, friendly and professional on each visit, he provided an immediate diagnosis initially and a course of personalised rehabilitation that carefully addressed the issue. The position, progress and next -steps were reviewed at each appointment, which were scheduled to provide the maximum benefit. Scott demonstrated clear expertise in his field and communicated brilliantly with both me and my son, leaving us with complete confidence in his work. An excellent service that I would have no hesitation in returning to whenever the need may arise. UPDATE: A further sporting injury saw a rerun to the practice in Jan 25, this time under the guidance of Ben. As before, the service received was excellent, Ben diagnosed the issue and presented an adaptable rehabilitation programme which Ollie was able to follow through to his complete recovery. Ben was professional, considerate and welcoming at each appointment and enabled as swift a return to action as was possible. Excellent service, thank you.

Fantastic experience: Had a second appointment with Scott today after I’d been having issues/pain in my right shoulder. Scott was quickly able to find the issue and provide stretches to help loosen the area. After my second appointment my shoulder feels much looser and it’s the first time in 2 years I can say I have no pain/ache in the shoulder Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: I saw Scott and had a course of Tecar therapy which really helped my knee recovery. Very happy with the clinic & Scott. Good website with therapist profiles and it was great also being able to easily see available appointments. They offer a wide range of times and their rates are very competitive. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Scott Gormley for physio on my back since last October and can't believe the difference it has made. I was given daily exercises to follow, on an App, so could see videos of how to do them correctly, and 'hands-on' physio every few weeks. So much better than the 'physio' at my GP surgery who just gave me a print out of exercises. I can now move much more freely and comfortably than I could at my first visit. Worth every penny, definitely recommend and won't hesitate to go back if I have any further issues.

Fantastic experience: I went to Scott after I broke my foot, although I am still recovering and still awaiting a 3rd operation my experience with Scott was absolutely brilliant. Once my 3rd operation is done, I will be returning to Scott for my physio once again.

Fantastic experience: Visited Scott having sustained a foot injury whilst completing my first marathon. I'd seen Scott previously, so knew he was both knowledgeable and professional. Purchased orthotic insoles which will hopefully help with my gait. Wouldn't hesitate to return again for further treatment if needed.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place would recommend to anyone. I was having trouble getting about even climbing the stairs was an effort after seeing Scot and just doing simple exercises on a regular basis I can now climb the stairs holding 2 cups I can walk and stand.

Fantastic experience: Last year I had surgery Planned for both my Knees, I had difficulty going up and down stairs, and my legs would give way occasionally. After six treatments and some exercises, I can now trot up stairs, climb hills, and much more. I am going to get some shock therapy next month, but so far life changing ! Thank you Scott.

Fantastic experience: I endured a stiff neck (trapezoid muscle) for several days before approaching Back and Body Care clinic for an appointment. Two days later I met Ben Harrington who made a detailed assessment of the problem, gave me some physiotherapy, and then provided me with some exercises to do at home. The situation improved daily until I was back to normal. I recommend the clinic to anyone with physical problems.

Fantastic experience: Even thought my problem is complicated, two in one ,(stenosis lumbo saco and arthrosis in my hip ,both affecting the right leg, what make me limp and help my self with a walking stick...I have a lot of faith in the exercises and Scott advises .I trust him . 12 March 2024 Today I want to tell Scott...Thank you very much for your advise .I think it was January or February when you told me that in your opinion the hip surgery would help me with my back pain .You were right!!! I didn't wait more and I got my hip surgery last May in Lituania. Succesfull!!!! ,so good that no more pain .No more limping, no more walking stick. But....I have to recognise that I have included in my post surgery exercises , every exercise learned with Scott. I am conscious that I can't forget my back problem because I appreciate a lot this improvement in my life. But..If I a new problem appears.. . I hope not!! Fantastic experience: I had a fall which resulted in a rotator cuff injury on my left shoulder. Very painful and I could hardly move my arm more than a couple of inches. Daily tasks became impossible to do. I am 71 years old. I thought I could recover by trying exercises myself. How very wrong I was, I needed help. I had no idea where to go for help but I came across Scott Gormley and booked my first appointment. How glad I am to have found him. My road to recovery started, although not an easy one I was determined to get my life back on track. Scott gave me exercises to do between each physio session and I was quickly getting movement back in my arm. I soon moved on to using dumbbells as part of my routine. I progressed from using a 220g can of baked beans up to 2.5k dumbbells with 4k to follow. My treatment with Scott has finished but I continue to exercise at home including using the dumbbells to remain strong and agile. This is a lifelong commitment. not only for myself but as a thank you to Scott for all his help. Scott is a true professional in his field. He is passionate, knowledgeable and totally committed to what he does. If you are struggling and need help book an appointment with Scott you will not regret it. Fantastic experience: After suffering with a painful shoulder and sciatica, I went to see Scott, he was professional and friendly and put me at ease. Fantastic experience: Scott has been brilliant in helping restore range of motion and strength in my knee following a tibial plateau fracture. I'd been discharged from NHS physio but was still struggling to get back to my previous fitness level. I've now gone from it constantly feeling stiff and weak to being able to do all that I used to with barely any stiffness in it. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Sudden onset neck pain, stiffness and reduced mobility of neck muscles. Treated by Hannah over 3 sessions and I am pleased to say everything is back to normal. Hannah gave me a series of exercises to complete and I still revert back to these to maintain flexibility in particular after cycle rides.

Fantastic experience: Top quality Physio and person, I went in struggling to stand up or walk properly after tearing a back muscle, had physio sessions, took his advice to rest, warm the area with a hot water bottle, complete certain stretches which is sent via an app with videos. 3 weeks later I could return to work and light gym work. Class act.

Fantastic experience: If have had to see Scott for different problems within a 6 month period. One recovering from a fractured ankle and another of sciatic pain in my lower leg. Scott gave me exercises for both and I skied for the first time in 4 years with no problem from either condition!

Fantastic experience: I came to Scott with severe scapular winging (shoulder blade protruding due to a weak nerve) and a very limited range of shoulder movement and strength. I had been told by previous shoulder and nerve specialists that it would take at least two years to heal, if at all. Scott was always extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, and in the space of less than a year has been able to return the vast majority of my shoulder function and strength to normal. I could not recommend him enough, and the service is priced extremely reasonably for the high quality provided. Thank you again Scott.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Scott Gormley for treatment for plantar fasciitis. I'd been suffering from severe and debilitating pain in the underside of my foot for several weeks and, as a keen walker, this was extremely frustrating. After a course of shockwave therapy and a regime of tailored exercises, I'm now back to full health and walking five or six miles a day on average. Before treatment I could barely walk half a mile. Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Scott enough, having first spotted a leg discrepancy in a picture, I booked an appointment to have him look at my posture and balance, Scott informed me there was an 8mm difference and recommended Orthotics. Since using the custom made ones my back pains have eased considerably. I then picked up a shoulder injury and reached out to Scott again who offered me a 9pm appointment which I was extremely grateful for. It turned out to be a torn tendon and relieved to have got it looked at when I did, the advice and rehab program from Scott was first class and can certainly say I will continue to use Scott for any future issues. Fantastic experience: I went to see Scott in July 2023 with double PF with the aim of completing London Marathon '24. Scott identified a structured re-hab and strengthening programme along with a course of shockwave treatment. The condition improved substantially allowing me to compete the marathon in my target time. Fantastic experience: Scott Gormley is an excellent physiotherapist. It’s the third time I have been successfully treated by Scott for separate ailments. His knowledge and professionalism are second to none. I always feel I can trust his treatment plans and realistic & pragmatic advice. Fantastic experience: Hannah relieved the very painful spasms i had been experiencing in my neck with a combination of deep tissue massage and instruction on stretching exercises. I particularly like the fact that she did not prolong the treatment unnecessarily but is available if i need/want another session.

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately I have had to come to Scott and his other Physiotherapists a lot in the last 2 years. First and Ankle, then Lower Back and lastly Shoulder. He has been great and am now back to full fitness and playing tennis again. Until the next injury!

Fantastic experience: I believe that Scott (Gormley) has turned my life around after a nasty wrist fracture in June 2023. When I first went to see Scott, some weeks after the accident, I couldn’t even move my fingers never mind my hand and wrist! NHS physio was slow to happen so I decided to go privately. Scott was so kind but also quite firm i.e. he made it very clear to me that improvements would only happen if I worked at it. I did, this was my dominant wrist, therefore important that I achieved as much function as possible without an operation. My recovery took some time and it was painful. I am just so very grateful to Scott, without his help and encouragement I don’t know where I would be now! Merry Christmas to you Scott and your lovely team, thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I had a sudden issue with my Achilles a week before my holiday. Scott was superb, he fitted me in for treatment and an exercise plan which allowed me to fully enjoy my holiday. Above and beyond service .

As an active sportswoman requiring surgery with such a poor prognosis was scary but with Scott’s reassurance and personalised care planning I have just been given the all clear to return to sport and I am completely pain free.
