Fantastic experience: I was pleasantly surprised recently when Rachael at Hands on Physiotherapy told me she was being joined by a new therapist who had just arrived back in the UK from 2 years working in Australia. I knew straight away it was Tori who prior to leaving for Australia was my Physiotherapist. Tori will be a great asset for Hands on Physiotherapy as she is an extremely good, knowledgeable Physiotherapist who I cannot recommend highly enough if your having problems with your range of movement. I love my golf but to be fair I’m no longer a spring chicken but I’m definitely playing like one ️‍♂️thanks to both Rachael & Tori. My range of movements are the best they have been for years and I am so grateful to them as I’m out playing golf 3 or 4 times a week without pain. So if you enjoy your chosen sport or have difficulty in moving freely get down to Hands on Physiotherapy now I guarantee you will not regret it. Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Rachael Hands On Physiotherapy in Wimborne highly enough. My cockapoo Teddy developed a skip in his step, and a friend suggested I take him here. It turned out to be one of the best recommendations we’ve had. From the very first visit, the care, knowledge, and attention Teddy received were fantastic. The difference it has made for him is incredible, his movement has improved so much, and he’s clearly more comfortable and happy. What I love most is how much Teddy enjoys going. Instead of the usual “uh-oh, where are we?” look dogs give at appointments, he’s always excited to be there, which says everything about how well he’s treated. I am so grateful for the help Teddy has received and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rachel at Hands On Physiotherapy to anyone whose dog needs a little extra support.

Fantastic experience: My Wife Julie has been seeing Tesni for about 7 weeks now and from being really bent over with the lumber area in Her back for months, Tesni has helped Her so much and She can now walk upright and is moving around a lot easier. Tesni has been so kind and given Her lots of help with what to do going on for the future. Basically, after three years of chronic pain which was getting from bad to worse, i was becoming unable to sleep, go for a long walk, or have even a moderate excersise. Fantastic experience: I have been having back problems for a long time and have tried various chiropractors, osteopaths and physios. Rachael was recommended to me by a fellow golfer. After just one visit, I immediately felt a vast improvement. I wasn't just told to try various exercises and come back in two weeks, like so many other places. Fantastic experience: I live with a genetic condition that causes chronic pain and mobility challenges. It has been a frustrating journey, but meeting Rachael has been a truly positive turning point. She is not only passionate about her work and the service she provides, but also deeply knowledgeable and attentive, tailoring treatment specifically to support my body’s needs. For the first time in a long while, I feel like I’m moving forward—experiencing a reduction in pain (and in the amount of medication I need) as well as real improvements in my mobility.

Fantastic experience: Huge thanks to Rachael at Hands On Physiotherapy in Wimborne. I have a very small dog (Trinity is just about 1kg with the metal work in her leg post-surgery); Rachael took the time and attention to talk me through possible rehab programmes on the phone a few days ago. Trinity had her first physio session today and thoroughly enjoyed it! I left feeling confident, fully supported and very happy. And, that we were valued as individuals - Rachael’s approach is highly professional, evidently drawing on a great deal of expertise, and, most importantly, authentic. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately I have had a few injuries in the last two years with a frozen shoulder and torn cartilage in my knee and was recommended to Racheal at Hands on Physiotherapy and I’m so pleased I was, Racheal is very friendly, personal and professional. Thanks to Racheal I’m well on the road to recovery.

Fantastic experience: I had 2 attacks of excruciating, stabbing pain in my mid to lower back accompanied by indigestion type pain across by mid section, lasting around 30 hours and making me unable to sleep. Both occasions were at weekends so by the time I saw a doctor the pain was improving. The diagnosis was for probable kidney stones, however urine dip tests proved negative but it could have been stones were passed through my system already. I was advised to go to A&E if the pain returned. This I did about 2 months later. NHS were amazing, gave me pain killers immediately, quickly and very thoroughly checked me out with ECG x 2, Blood tests, Chest Xray and Ultrasound. All came back with healthy results and the doctors suggested the pain was muscular/skeletal. I therefore visited Hands on physio as recommended by my Pilates teacher. Rachel listened to my story and worked her magic on the sections of my back that needed attention. Following one session she was happy for me to stop there and chance a recurrence but recommended a further appointment to be sure. I attended a second appointment and on both occasions felt the benefit and improvement of her treatment. I have not had any problems since and fully recommend Hands On Physiotherapy.

She is not only courteous but listens attentively to the nature of the problem suggesting not only ways that she can help but exercises that can be done to help oneself . Whilst she has to massage deeply to get the required results she is sensitive knowing it can be very painful and I have benefitted significantly from her magic hands . Fantastic experience: Hands on Physiotherapy is a brilliant physio practice; they alway take a holistic approach to treatment and assess me each time I come to the clinic, not just referring to previous appointments. The clinic is accessible and always clean and welcoming. Rachael is extremely knowledgeable, experienced and skilled in her neuromusculoskeletal treatment. there is always the option of continuing treatment with exercises to do outside of the clinic including guidance of how to do them/get the best results. I would certainly recommend Rachael for any patient and highly recommend Hands on Physio.

Every time I go to see him for my neck and shoulder pain, I always leave feeling that the hands on treatment got to the root of the problem, and made me feel much more comfortable. Fantastic experience: I certainly recommend Rachael Dixon owner and manager of the Hands on Physiotherapy clinic. I've been suffering from knee pain for several months and during that time I was seeing another physiotherapist elsewhere but my knee didn't improve. I am a physically active person and having to reduce my fitness routine was dramatically affecting my quality of life. Just when I started to lose hope of being able to recover and feeling that I had to stop exercising all together, I was lucky enough to speak with a prominent fitness instructor who mentioned to me about Rachael. I then remembered that I was treated by Rachael in around 2009 for a hip injury when Rachael was based elsewhere. Sadly I moved out of the area and I lost touch with Rachael. I was very pleased to know that this was the same Rachael who treated me several years ago. Once again she straight away discovered the cause of the issue and since being treated by her my knee has improved tremendously just by the second session! Previously to my treatment I also attended an extremely valuable free workshop hosted by Rachael regarding knee pain. I was very impressed from the moment I walked into the clinic and noticed the clean, bright and tidy atmosphere and seeing everything so well organised with great attention to detail, even refreshments and home-made cake to welcome the participants as well as pen and paper and a free guide to knee exercises. When Rachael gave her presentation she shared with us a great deal of knowledge, expertise and went through the various causes of knee pain and gave us various valuable tips. The treatment rooms are bright and have windows for natural light and a good size mirror which it's very important for the patients to see their alignment. There is also another physiotherapist at the practice called Liam, he has passion for sport himself he also understands the needs and frustrations of physically active patients. I thoroughly recommend Hands On Physiotherapy.

Fantastic experience: I came down to Wimborne from London Thursday afternoon, on arrival my back seized up and I could hardly get out of my car. I was SO LUCKY to get an appointment with Rachael Dickinson who I cannot give enough praise and thanks. Fantastic experience: Since being referred to Rachel a year or so ago through work I've had a really good experience. During the initial assessment Rachel was very thorough in looking at the whole picture rather than just the specific area in pain. This lead to me getting the help I needed during the sessions but also a lot of practical and straightforward advice to help me improve between those sessions. It's a calm, pleasant space where Rachel aways make you feel informed and comfortable.

Fantastic experience: A really enjoyable experience at the hands of a friendly expert Rachel. Presented myself with a torn rhomboid muscle in my upper back, I liken it to having a the small end of a pool cue permanently digging into the area right next to the shoulder blade. Trapped nerves meant I had huge discomfort in my left arm as well. I needed 2 sessions with Rachel to correct things and went back for a third time just to be sure! Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic, we bring our dog here for physio and Rachel makes such an effort to bond with our girl and make her feel comfortable to the point our girl gets excited to come back! 3/4 sessions in and our girl is already improving massively and we are very grateful for all of Rachel's help.
