Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Max if you are considering treatment. He is very professional puts you at ease and explains the process very well. I had never seen an osteopath but after a long period of acute neck, shoulder and hip pain despite being under investigation via NHS I decided to book an appointment at South Dartmoor Clinic with Max. After only 5 sessions Max suggested I speak with my doctor re a condition known as PMR . I am pleased to say this was the correct diagnosis and I was immediately put on medication by my doctor which reduced my pain within the week. I am very grateful to Max for his treatment, knowledge and just listening to me in relation to all my symptoms and looking at the whole picture.

Fantastic experience: I had been in pain for over a year before I contacted Max. NHS physiotherapy hadn't helped enough and my pain was 24/7 and so many painkillers, I thought I would try something different. After 5 sessions with Max my pain has reduced to particular movements only ( we are still working on it) and I'm starting feel like my old self again. Max is professional, knowledgeable and makes you feel at easy and the treatments really help, more than I could have ever imagined. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend max enough, he is very kind and understanding and his knowledge and expertise comes across as soon as you meet him. I have suffered with back issues for many, many years and on this occasion my neck and shoulders had gone into spasm leaving me in some of the worst pain I'd ever experienced, I hadn't slept at all for 4 nights, but within one 40 minute session, I was already feeling the benefits and after my second session, the acute pain had almost completely eased. Max is also still practicing a covid safe environment, which puts our minds at ease.

Fantastic experience: Very Happy! After the birth of our son my wife was in considerable discomfort that was partly neuromuscular in nature. Booking in with Max and his clinic was straightforward and his communication is excellent. During our appointments Max was very attentive and caring, he has a lot of knowledge and this comes through in his practice. His treatments work and I can only recommend Max to anyone in need of an osteopath.

Fantastic experience: I sought Max’s help after my husband had been successfully treated by him a few years ago. I’m 47 and had a history of recent breast cancer and being fairly immobile for over a year. I had a very sore, stiff neck and ‘solid’ stiff lower back. I must admit I felt so much better after 1 treatment but continued for several weeks as my problems had been ongoing for a long time (and I fell over before my 2nd treatment!). I really did feel straighter and a lot less achy and stiff. I even mentioned my jaw clenching and clicking which had started during my cancer treatment and Max helped me a lot with that too. I am glad to have found Max’s clinic. It’s a very gentle, non invasive treatment and I felt very well looked after. Highly recommended.

I have visited both of his clinics for various ailments over the past 8 years and each time he has got me back to normal health. I would also like to mention that he doesn’t recommend you revisit, unless there is a genuine need.

Fantastic experience: I was recommend Max by a good friend who had made use of his services for herself and her daughter. I was unfortunately in a car crash nine months ago thankfully with what I thought were only minor injuries so didn't even go to my GP as it was at the hight of the covid lockdown. At that time , migraine headaches which I had periodically started to come up to three times a week , worse than ever before . GP brushed it off . I consulted Max and within four sessions the migraine had stopped. I am so grateful , I can definitely recommend this clinic .

Fantastic experience: Had to seek out an osteopath because of numbness and pain in the side of my thigh. Couldn’t sleep and was in despair. Max was brilliant. Not only did he relieve the pain (stemming from an old knee injury) , but gave me the confidence to try ‘couch to 5k’. It’s been great knowing that he’s there if I get any issues. Wish I’d found him sooner. I don’t hesitate to recommend him. (Only to really good friends though - Don’t want him to be oversubscribed all the time!) I imagine it’s not easy to match his level of skill and experience.

Fantastic experience: Max has helped me to manage my chronic back pain to the point where I am able to do everything I want to to such as cycling, canoeing and walking without discomfort. I go once a month for a maintenance treatment and it keeps me on track as an active 65yr old! I couldn’t do it without Max’s magic touch!

Fantastic experience: Max is an excellent and experienced professional who can be relied upon. He listened to my complaints, delivered a diagnosis and explained what I could expect in the long term and the expectations were realistic. He also mentioned exercises I could do at home (he has his own videos available on the internet) and other changes in lifestyle (e.g. workstation set-up). Max is punctual and does not change appointments at the last minute. Also the cost per session is reasonable. I would thoroughly recommend Max's services for those with musculoskeletal problems.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t been to see a physio or osteo etc for nearly 20 years. Combination of stubbornness on my part and fortunately relatively good luck with lack of serious injuries Anyway my brother recommended Max and I booked in with him. 3 treatments later and I’ve gone from being able to start using the pepper mill again with no pain to back tentatively playing tennis. Time and nature does heal but I’m glad I followed my brothers suggestion to see Max. I hope not to have to come back.... but I won’t hesitate at all in the future to book in again with you. Fantastic experience: I was lucky enough to win the competition that was run on Facebook & l have to admit that l was sceptical at first. I had no idea what oestopath was other than it had something to do with bones. I suffer with oestoarthritis in both my knees and was in constant & on pain killers, the pain could get so intense that l would wake in the middle of the night in pain & have to use my hands to gently manouvre the postition of my knees. I no longer wake in the middle of the night in intense pain, in fact the pain has decreased so much that it is bearable. Max is a really friendly, professional man, who is honest. On my first session he told me he wasn't sure how much he would be able to help me but we have both been surprised with the improvement Please don't give up after 3 sessions as the gains in pain management after my 3rd & 4th sessions have been unbelievable. Thank you Max for running the competition, my only regret is that l didn't know about this treatment before, it may well have slowed the progression of deterioration, but would have definitely helped with pain management

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Max, on & off, since 2011. He is professional, knowlegdeable, kind and compassionate. Max works intuitively and if i am in pain when i go, i am pain-free and walking on air when i leave. If you are in any pain + wondering about what to do, i recommend you give Max a call. A treatment with him is 100% worth it and at £45 a session is worth 10x that to go from hobbling around grimacing to walking upright & freely again. Yes, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Max by a close friend who had been treated by him for 3 months with very positive results and since our ailments were similar, I thought that Max may be able to help me too....
