Fantastic experience: I had been suffering with lower back problems for 18 months and was on strong medication, when a friend recommended Nicky to me. From my initial consultation, to the last 12 months, my health has improved considerably. It is clear to see, that Nicky isn’t just an expert in her field, but she also has empathy for your situation and wants to help. My job doesn’t do me any favours, when it comes to lower back problems, however Nicky has helped me get my life back on track, get me back into the gym and mostly importantly, kick the medication. Not only did he guide me through a thorough and effective rehab process, but once I was able to run again, he introduced gait analysis into our sessions — and that’s where things really stepped up. John’s expertise in running technique and movement mechanics has been invaluable. His gait analysis identified small issues in my running form that were not only contributing to injury risk but also holding me back from running efficiently. With his guidance, I've improved my technique, reduced discomfort, and feel much more confident in my stride. If you're a runner — whether recovering from injury or just looking to improve performance — I can’t recommend John highly enough. The combination of physiotherapy and detailed gait analysis is a game-changer.

Fantastic experience: I have osteoarthritis in knees and hands . My hands were very painful . I saw the shock wave treatment at the clinic and gave it a try as I had a lot of discomfort in my hands and knees .1 have been attending every 3 weeks for the last 3 months and today I can honestly say the treatment works I have no pain in knees and hands and my hand joints are flexible. I have been extremely pleased with the outcome of the treatment. The staff are lovely and friendly. Nicky is very friendly and knowledgeable. Kate is lovely and very professional. Fantastic experience: I booked an appointment regarding foot pain. I was squeezed in the next day thanks to a cancellation, and John was brilliant! Very thorough, didn't rush, talked everything through with me and did lots of different therapies as well as gave me exercises to do at home. The next day my foot was so much better, and is now virtually pain free :) I went from barely able to walk to almost normal in 24hrs! It's a lovely old building and the initial consult price is very reasonable along with follow ups. The staff were all lovely :)

Fantastic experience: Big shout out to Lauren ! I came in this evening with coccyx pain as my primary problem but we also spoke about my pelvic floor worries too. Lauren was able to recognise that my coccyx was sitting out of place and did some mobs to move it back into place. Honestly I felt an instant relief and was able to sit without intense pain! I know that my 'stray' coccyx may move back out but we know now how to treat it. Lauren assessed my pelvic floor and she found I have a slight hypertonic pelvic and we went through some relaxation excersises. We chatted and she made me feel super comfortable An absolute asset to the clinic! I look forward to seeing her again. The girls on reception were also very warming and friendly. So glad I came across this little treasure! I have already referred my friend for his shoulder pain ! Thanks again guys ❤️

Fantastic experience: I was suffering from severe back spasms following a fall whilst skiing……. After a thorough investigative consultation with ANTON, he gave me a detailed explanation of his views on my internal issues. A deep massage of both sides of my spinal column followed and a detailed explanation of some stretches to help ease my muscular discomfort. It worked! In my opinion, Anton is top drawer and really knows how to both reassure and assist recovery. Well Done and Thank You

Fantastic experience: I came to see John for a running gait analysis which was really insightful and thorough. John reviewed my run form and identified some adaptations I can make to get me running consistently again after a few years of lower leg injuries. Everything was explained very clearly and I feel a lot more optimistic about the season ahead with the suggestions John has made.

Negative experience: Nice people. Aside from that, 4 months of treatment, pain worsening after each one, only to have a variation of same treatment repeated next time. Since ~STOPPING~ treatment and returning to my previous physio, pain has improved significantly despite having been diagnosed as ultimately untreatable. No complaints policy seems to be available, either on the website or on request. An email complaint generated one phone call mainly on the theme of how busy my physio was. Another requesting a written reply and NO telephone contact was followed by a text message requesting another telephone call. ADDED AFTER BUSINESS' REPLY: AS ALREADY SAID, I HAVE SENT MY COMPLAINT TO THE SPECIFIED EMAIL SEVERAL TIMES AND HAD ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS BUT NO RESPONSE. Please do not claim that it has not been seen.

Fantastic experience: I was fortunate enough to hear about Nicky 19 years ago. We met due to me hurting my back at work and being off for 18 Months. I’d lost my job because of this and I spent a fortune going to different places to try and get it sorted with no joy. However Nicky managed to sort me out in a very short period of time. Every now and again I have to pop back but I do wonder how things would have been for me had we not met. I recommend this place to everyone who mentions they are in pain. Thanks for everything Nicky! Fantastic experience: Firstly apologies for the delay in writing this review; it has been a long process as I will explain below. I attended Nicky Snazell's clinic in April and November 2022 for knee pain (what I thought was a knee injury) following an NHS ultrasound scan and x-ray both of which were clear. After discussion the treatment focused on my thigh muscles and IT band (thank-you Emma for your hard work!) revealing the cause as an old footballing injury (muscle tear) which I had for well over 30 years. The treatment finished in April 2023 with a gait analysis which revealed that I had been over-striding when running ,making myself more prone to injury. This was a revelation to say the least as I has been running since my school days. Since that time I have been adapting my running style to avoid over-striding and it has kept the symptoms of the injury from returning and also increased both my speed and endurance. I also have the prescribed exercises to address any issues that re-occur. I consider that the frequency of treatment at Nicky Snazell's clinic was proportionate to the problem I experienced. Exercises were provided via e-mail for me to do between fortnightly appointments. The staff there are friendly and professional and the environment stress free, actually relaxing while waiting. I am now training for the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October (in my 60th birthday year) which when I look back to how things were at the end of 2022 would have been impossible, I would therefore, fully recommend Nicky Snazell's clinic to others.

Fantastic experience: I was experiencing stiffness in my lower back which was accompanied by pain in my back and right leg. I was concerned because I was soon to undertake a long drive to Scotland and, I knew from experience, that this was likely to aggravate my condition. I had two physiotherapy appointments with Lowri involving massage and acupuncture. After each session I felt a distinct improvement and was happily able to complete my trip in comfort. Fantastic experience: I suffer with both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, which effects my lower back. I saw Emma at the clinic as the pain in my lower back had become much worse. Fantastic experience: I was visiting from Australia and had been dealing with a lumbopelvic issue for over 12 months and had a bad flare up before my flight back to Aus. The staff here were incredible and did everything they could to get me seen as quickly as possible. Dave was fantastic, and can’t speak highly enough of him. He took the time to really listen and talked me through everything he was doing and got me out of pain. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Lowri is fab, treated me with massage and acupuncture when I was in excruciating pain with my back and by the next day I was mobile again. Got another appointment booked in next week. The staff here are so knowledgeable and will treat the underlying issue rather than just treating you enough to ease the pain for a while

Fantastic experience: I went to the clinic with a great deal of pain. After only 5 treatments I am able to manage the pain I get, I can sleep at night and generally more mobile. I have adopted the well being side of my treatment and feel I am able to relax far more now! I would recommend Nicky without hesitation!

Fantastic experience: I had help from Nikki and it was first class and effective lasting many years. There was a clinic in Harrogate, North Yorkshire and probably I will travel to her current location as she was exceptional.

Fantastic experience: I came to see John for a running gait analysis and it was brilliant! The whole assessment was really thorough and beneficial, and John explained everything so clearly. He quickly picked up on some inefficiencies in my gait and has given me tips on how this can be improved. The foot scan technology was really insightful, and John was a fountain of knowledge! I feel a lot happier that my current injuries/niggles can be resolved with some of the tweaks he has suggested.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending the clinic to aid my recovery from a total knee replacement . NHS physiotherapy was adequate but basic. The treatment I have had from Lowri has been brilliant. Lowri is always friendly and professional with a wealth of knowledge at her fingertips. It has extended the range of movements and also reduced the pain. As well as using various techniques including acupuncture Lowri has given advice as to what to do at home. Fantastic experience: Simply wonderful! I’ve have been coming to see Nicky for a couple of years now. My initial appointment was due to bulging discs and even from just one appt I had 80% less pain. Since then I have had maintenance appointments and not needed to take pain relief for my back (unless I did anything silly to aggravate it, which Nicky has then sorted). I wouldn’t class myself as a spiritual person but there’s something about Nicky and her aura that is special. I truly believe she has healing hands. I think I’d even pay to see her to just be in her presence because I come out of every appointment feeling calm and relaxed.

Fantastic experience: I cannot rate this place high enough. I had been suffering a lifetime of back ache, but more recently a serious reduction in my mobility whereby I needed both a walking stick and wheelchair to get about. Even getting up from my seat caused me agony. Then I met Emma - my absolute saviour. She has worked sheer magic. I have now ditched the stick and have so much less pain, my life has been transformed. I have a long way to go but the progress has been amazing. Emma is not only super knowledgeable, treating me with a combination of massage, exercise, manipulation and electro-acupuncture but she is so positive & encouraging. I always go away feeling physically & emotionally better! Don't waste any time suffering, get yourself booked in here as it's worth every penny.

Negative experience: I had my first appointment on Thursday 10th August after being highly recommended to use this business. I was assigned to John who I met and explained I was suffering with what I thought were sciatic issues. John carried out an in depth examination which at times I thought were a little strenuous but assumed he was best placed to understand what needed to be done. We agreed I would attend a second appointment on Thursday 17th August. I have spent the majority of the past three days in agony and predominantly bed ridden due to the acute pain in my lower back and legs. I will be contacting the practice first thing tomorrow but at the moment am both worried and frustrated at the outcome of my initial meeting.

Fantastic experience: Twenty years ago I gave myself a slipped disc by carrying heavy boxes from one house to another four times in six months. I woke up on Christmas Day that year unable to move from my bed without searing back pain and it took a week before I felt something close to normal. Then a pain developed under my right knee cap that had me crying at 3am with never-ending agony that was unbearable and tiring beyond belief. I found a serious doctor in London who practiced Intra Muscular Stimulation – thin wires are inserted into the cramped muscles to create electric activity and relax the muscles. Within forty minutes he had ENDED the pain in my knee and proceeded to END my back pain over a few months. This year I was again in agony and by a miracle I found the incredible and wonderful Nicky Snazell who is as good as my London doctor and in some ways more technologically advanced. If you are in mind numbing agony with muscular pain and can bear it no longer – Nicky is your HEALER. I give her a MILLION marks out of ten.

Fantastic experience: I arrived at the clinic using a walking stick not able to stand up straight because of the pain I had been in for years having been diagnosed with osteoporosis and having spinal fractures .I first had treatment with Katy and had brilliant results pain under control and do not need a walking stick. As a 40 something runner, I have been using the clinic for a few years as part of my maintenance routine and without the knowledge of David and practicality of "Victor", I know I would not be running. Highly knowledgeable and experienced team, make you feel welcome and always resolve my issues.

Negative experience: Well, it might not be my fault or thier fault, after nearly £600 spent I would of thought I should at least be feeling better, I can honestly say, I don't feel any better, so I believe they are the experts, I should at least feel the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter, unfortunately it isn't. OVER THE FOLLOWING YEARS I WAS ABLE TO CLIMB SO PRETTY GOOD STUFF CANADIAN ROCKIES US ROCKIES MT COOK NZ AND HIMALAYAS. THIS HAS NOW DECLINED ( AGE ) BUT RECENTLY DURING COVID LOCK DOWN THE BACK RELAPSED BUT HAD SCAN ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON SAID ARTHRITIS DE-NERVING THE BACK WOULD BE THE ANSWER. SO £4000 LATER AND 3 WEEKS WITHOUT THE PAIN BEFORE IT RETURNED. I ONCE AGAIN SAW NICKY 2 SESSIONS LATER I AM NOT PERFECT BUT OUT OF PAIN CARRYING ON WITH MY NORMAL ACTIVITIES ( NOT MOUNTAIN CLIMBING ) REALLY CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH NICKY MORALE OF TALE SEE NICKY BEFORE LISTENING TO SURGEONS. I WOULD ADD I DO A 150 MILE ROUND TRIP FOR TREATMENT BUT YOUR WORTH IT

Fantastic experience: I cannot find words adequate enough to express my thanks and gratitude to David Paling in transforming my painful and dysfunctional shoulder of many years into one of much freer movement and range and without the pain. All the more astonishing is that this was all achieved in three overall sessions with David but most of it in the first two. David’s in-depth knowledge of the mechanics of how the shoulder works and interacts with other areas of the body is truly breathtaking. I was expecting to be in for a long haul of months of physio sessions but no need for any further treatment now and let’s hope it stays that way. Thanks David.

Fantastic experience: This clinic is amazing and gives me lots that the NHS can’t. I work for the NHS and cherish the institution but this clinic is able to offer lots of different therapies without waiting lists. Everyone here is thorough, patient, understanding, holistic and always available when you need them. I now visit for maintenance sessions 3 or 4 times a year. I’ve seen various practitioners, all are brilliant and have so much to offer with their huge range of skills and expertise. I would recommend this clinic for thorough assessments, an amazing variety of treatments and friendly staff in a beautiful calm environment.

Fantastic experience: I have been suffering with lower back issues for several years, multiple herniations, osteoarthritis, and other issues. I had tried, various other treatment methods over the time, until i contacted Nicky Snazell about 8 years ago, the relief and improvement after the very first session was immense, first time in over two years I could lie in bed pain free . I cant praise or thank Nicky and the staff for their caring and professional attitude. I have to go for occasional top ups over the years , but it was a life changing moment for me that first session.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service from the clinic. I called with neck and shoulder pain and I was seen by John on the same day. I was given a diagnosis for my pain immediately and treatment/exercises to complete. John was really helpful and made me feel really comfortable. The man that first advised me in reception on the phone was also extremely helpful and supportive and directed me to the appropriate physiotherapist to suit my needs.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service! Went to bed with a stiff neck and woke up with a paralysed arm in excruciating pain. Rang and was given an appointment the next day. On examination I was told I had nerve damage in my neck that in turn had caused tendonitis in my arm. Prompt physio and acupuncture immediately started to improve my condition and 3 treatments later I'm back to being fighting fit! Thank you so much!

Positive experience: I have recently gone to this physio practice after suffering a neck injury. I would like to say how impressed I am with the service they provide , my physio is Anton who is both very knowledgable and has a very positive attitude with me. I have been suffering with neck,shoulder,arm and hand pain for over 6 weeks now and am receiving weekly Acupuncture but Antons positivity with me really pushes me on to recover as quickly as possible. Fantastic experience: Great treatment!! I have experienced back pain for a number of years now. My mum advised me to book an appointment. I had a very quick response via phone call and I was seen to within a couple of working days. I was fortunate enough to have an appointment with Nicky herself. A very lovely woman who is very passionate and shows pride in her work. After a careful assessment on my back I was provided with Acupuncture. It was my first time experiencing this so I was a little nervous at first but Nicky was very careful and brilliant with the treatment. I would recommend anybody to use this service.

Fantastic experience: We were first advised to visit The Pain Clinic by a local village resident who said “ forget the doctor . You will only be prescribed pain killers.” I saw David who sorted out my very painful neck within 4 visit over the course of a fortnight. That was 3 years ago. Since then, Alex has rendered life bearable for my husband and Anton is presently dealing with a muscle problem in my leg. We particularly appreciate the “Setting of homework“ and try to do our exercises every day as instructed. The Pain Clinic has saved us many a trip to the doctor and has sorted out our aches and pains without recourse to pills and potions. Very highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I attended the clinic in January, a few weeks after obtaining an injury on my mountain bike (which resulted in an A & E trip). After the A&E doctor advised it was just soft tissue damage, the physio diagnosed me straight away and within 2 sessions I was 90% pain free with just some bruising to self heal. The clinic was very clean, friendly and professional and I felt completely at ease and in safe hands. I had complete confidence in their treatment and was given professional advice at every stage of my recovery.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to the clinic by a friend because for 18 months I had experienced continuous and extremely painful and debilitating shoulder and neck pain. The shoulder pain kept me awake each night so when I saw David Paling at the clinic I was hopeful that there was something he could do to help me. David explained fully his findings after the initial consultation and also explained that sometimes treatment may be painful during and after the appointments but to try to stick with it which I was only too thankful to do. I had seen various physiotherapists and had kinesitherapie treatment in France where I live, none of which helped so I was desperate to find a way of escaping the constant shoulder pain pain. The first two weeks were painful but then after each appointment the pain began to ease and slowly slowly I was able to move more freely than I had done for more than 18 months and I could actually put my coat on and off alone without having to be helped. Not an achievement for most people but for me it was a huge milestone to feeling well again. Shoulder pain at night improved tremendously, enough so that I had my first night's undisturbed sleep in months. Can I recommend Nicky Snazell's Pain Clinic - I sure can without hesitation. Fantastic experience: Consultion & 1st visit to treat plantar fascitis. Treatment by Dean was exceptional he was friendly and knowledgeable, quickly identified problem and started treatment straight away. Felt very comfortable & confidentin Dean's ability to resolve issues that that been causing me pain & discomfort for some time. Felt better almost immediately and noticed a big reduction on my pain and stiffness the next day. Already recommended to my friends my only regret is that I didn't visit sooner.

Fantastic experience: My gym instructor and friend suggested I visit due to me having a painful shoulder with reduced mobility. The service I received was fantastic, from booking the appointment over the telephone to each treatment I received (3 did the trick). I would not hesitate to recommend the clinic to anyone. The insights given about my back, pelvis and posture were a huge help and the exercises to sustain the impact of the treatment simple & accessible.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful, welcoming place with lovely staff and physios who really know their stuff. If you don't like going to cold, clinical places, go to Nicky Snazell's clinic - it's nothing like going to the doctors. It's warm and cosy with a lovely waiting room complete with fire, hot drinks machine, and biscuits! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I decided to go to this clinic after an initial NHS referral was going to involve a 7 week wait for initial facecto face assessment. Fantastic experience: This is by far the best physio i have ever been too! As a keen sportsman you now and again get the odd injury. I have never recovered as fast by having treatment at this clinic, the knowledge of the staff is second to non. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Nicky by the Hales for the dreaded lower back pain. Immediate relief and some actionable advice, even on just one visit. The hardest trick is to change habits and someone as enthusiastic, knowledgeable and relateable as Nicky is as good as it gets to be your adviser. Fantastic experience: I had suffered with sciatica for some time and went to the GP for help. All I was given were strong painkillers. They only worked for so long. After some time I wanted to explore other areas that might be able to help my sciatica. I went to Nicky Snazells clinic 3x and had some very good care which resulted in my sciatica going away. Sarah gave me several tips on how to keep the pain away and really educated me on how I should look after my body and back! Fantastic experience: I rang and got appointment within 24 hours of my call which is brilliant for an acute problem . I was made very welcome as soon as I walked into the facility . The staff were Very professional staff and thorough . On arrival I was in a great deal of pain and received a good assessment and several treatment approaches within ( and over ) my appointment slot. Fantastic experience: Excellent. Sarah took one look at me and knew that I had obviously fractured my shoulder, when the GP & Assessment clinic thought otherwise. Fantastic experience: In 1999 I was involved in a road collision resulting in some hefty soft tissue damage. After 18 months of NHS/ private physio and chiropractic help elsewhere I was still suffering. I then found Nicky. The result was amazing and she achieved so much that my recovery went far beyond what I was ever hoping for. Subsequent tennis elbow issues were similar sorted, so when I had the misfortune to suffer again recently in an accident, I had no hesitation in looking to the services on offer to help my recovery.
