Action First Physio

Fantastic experience: Last November I dislocated my right shoulder during a bouldering session. I was told by my orthopaedic practitioner that recovery would be completed towards the middle of March 2026. Albeit I did feel much better, I was still struggling with strength, mobility, and would occasionally feel pain. I had my first appointment at Action First Physio in early March and today was my third appointment. My treatment and recovery plan was devised by Ms. Joanna Wisniewska, the physiotherapist that I met at all three appointments. Her method can feel challenging, but it is aimed at producing an effective and steady recovery. I felt that a lot of progress was made after just two weeks between the first and second appointment. After three weeks, I went to my third appointment today showing a considerable degree of improvement. Action First Physio (Snaith), through Ms. Joanna Wisniewska, have consistently showcased the high quality of their service. I am glad I chose this clinic for my treatment.

Due to the physio I receive and doing the exercises and stretches I was given, I am able to do all the activities I did prior to this problem. Always a first class service. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I see Kirsteen on a monthly basis for maintenance physio as I am a keen but older runner. Kirsteen always listens to any issues I may have before treatment and then offers advice such as specific exercises to do at home or in the gym. I strongly believe taking this approach has kept me running and stopped me getting any serious injuries. I can highly recommend Kirsteen.

Fantastic experience: Great treatment from Kirsteen. Mainly maintenance work while I build up my fitness and hit the injury pitfalls on the way but Kirsteen is great managing them injuries and working with my PT to ensure I'm always pushing in the right direction.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing James for treatment of my plantar fasciitis since early Jan. having suffered with it for almost 2 years I’d had enough and self referred for shockwave therapy after a bit of googling. James has been amazing with officially diagnosing, treating and helping with continued physio. I have just completed by 6th weekly session of shockwave therapy and my pain has improved dramatically. From being in constant pain and almost unable to walk James has helped reduce the pain by 80% with shockwave therapy. While majority of the pain has gone, he has given me heaps of knowledge and physio to keep going forward so I can finally hopefully live a pain free life. They accepted insurance cover too so all my 6 sessions were covered and the whole process was faultless. Thank you James and the whole team at Action First who have all been amazing and super friendly. Highly recommend Action First

Fantastic experience: I've been a customer for many years and have always found Kirsteen to be attentive, thorough and incredibly effective at diagnosing and treating my various injuries and issues. I would without hesitation recommend this practice, they are professional and helpful and always put you at ease.

Negative experience: Before Adele left 5 stars all the way, my last visit with another physio was awkward and didn't seem to be as effective, I felt I was being a nuisance for wanting to have some nots removed and was told I didn't need to see a physio a sports massage would do. I have been going to this practice for nearly 3 years, yet my notes were not present and questions were asked to why I was there, taking time out of my half hour. I didn't rebook.

I trust the physiotherapists here fully . I find they have very good diagnostic skills and I have always found that they are able to treat my problems very rapidly . I do a lot of sport ( running/ swimming / biking ) and I compete in a lot of events . The team will Always go that extra mile to offer you a speedy response so they can start working on your problem immediately . Fantastic experience: Incredibly helpful staff, excellent physios. My shoulder had been in agony for weeks before coming here but a short (somewhat painful) massage and a couple of weeks of special exercises at home and I’m now almost entirely perfect! Thanks to all the team.

Fantastic experience: My husband was in absolute agony with what he thought was a trapped nerve in his shoulder after a week of suffering he contacted his GP who recommended physiotherapy. After three visits he was pain free, a great service provided by very capable and friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: I have known Kirsteen for several years now but it was when I injured my knee in an accident at home she proved invaluable. She did a full assessment, manipulated the injured area and gave me a full pack of strengthening exercises to follow up with. As a result of her expertise the muscles and tendons returned to full strength and I am now able to continue with my gym fitness and running routines without any pain. Thank you Kirsteen!
