Fantastic experience: I've been suffering with frequent headaches for years, then I had a minor accident and it increased them to 2-3 a week. An online physio immediately suggested I see an osteopath. I wouldn't have though that they could help with this issue, so I was surprised osteopathy was recommended. After seeing Steven for some sessions, I have barely had a head ache in 3 months. I saw some results after 1 or 2 sessions though. If I ever have any new issues I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Fantastic experience: I have lived with back, shoulder and neck pain for quite a few years. 2 visits in to Steven Baines at Tomlinson's, the pain has gone and I'm recieving valuable advice on looking after myself going forward. Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Steve for several weeks with extreme back pain. He is totally professional and is clearly very knowledgeable in his field. He got me an immediate appointment for an x-ray and rang me as soon as he had the results. Andrea on reception also goes above and beyond with her customer care. Fantastic experience: I recently visited and had a really great experience. From the moment I walked in, it felt welcoming and professional without being intimidating. They took the time to properly understand what was going on instead of rushing through things, which I really appreciated. Everything was explained in a way that actually made sense, so I felt comfortable and confident with the treatment. The session itself was excellent and I noticed an improvement straight away. I was also given some simple advice and exercises to help at home, which has made a big difference. Overall, you can tell they genuinely care about their patients and want to help long term, not just fix things quickly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone dealing with pain or just wanting to move better.

The initial consultation was very thorough and Mr Stephen Baines identified a problem and sent a letter my doctor regarding this . From the warm and friendly reception, to the very professional treatment I have received, I would have no hesitation in recommending this practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Steven, at Tomlinson Osteopaths, for quite a few years. I have ongoing issues, with my neck & back, that comes & goes. It was those problems, that initially sought treatment for. Whenever I see Steven, however amateur my description of the issues are, he is always able to identify what is required & the improvements he makes, are often instant. Most recently, I’ve had an issue with my elbow, which would certainly have remained very painful & debilitating, if I’d not been back to see Steven. Three sessions & the problem is almost entirely resolved, to the point that I can restart exercising. I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism & care that I’ve always received.

Negative experience: Upon enquiry I was told that a consultation was £85 and included the first session. I brought my exclusively breastfed baby in when he was nearly 2 months old due to feeding issues and wanted rule out oral tension as a contributing factor or the root cause. I'd read up a lot about the benefits of craniosacral facial therapy and was happy to have found a practitioner just around the corner with good reviews that offered this service. We took our baby to the consultation appointment and whilst waiting a couple came out with a very young baby that had recently had a tongue-tie release and was in for their first session. We went in and I explained to the osteopath that our feeding issues started when he was 4 weeks old right after I introduced an electric breastpump, but he was quick to dismiss a potential link. He looked at our baby for about 5 minutes, barely touching him, before coming to the conclusion that he thought he had a tongue-tie, saying that my son wasn't lifting his tongue in the centre. I asked the question of whether oral, jaw or neck tension could be blocking the reflex that enables to tongue to push up and the idea was dismissed. He said that until the tongue-tie had been released there was nothing he could do and recommended we go private as they would do it on the day. Despite the consultation being cut short, inconclusive and the first session refused I was still charged the £85 which I was disgusted by. The tongue-tie suggestion also didn't sit right with me but I spoke with the NHS infant feeding team I ended up on the NHS waitlist for a tongue-tie assessment. A month later the assessment was done and the lady doing it said she was unable to complete it properly as he kept sucking on her finger but she referred him for the release anyway, of course this also didn't sit right with me. I then got the opinion of a chiropractor who did a full 30 minute consultation before concluding that she really didn't think he had a tongue-tie, his suction was good and effective and he was gaining weight. I then took him to see my dentist and asked if he could check for a tongue-tie, he also didn't think there was one. I never ended up getting the release done as jt turned out that all of our feeding issues were actually down to a forceful letdown caused by using an electric breastpump, even though the osteopath had completely dismissed the link. Once I knew the cause I was able to make adjustments to how we fed and the issues soon disappeared. The fact that the baby seen before us had not long had a tongue-tie release I wondered how many other babies he'd sent off to have a pair of scissors taken to their mouth before even attempting any bodywork first. I really wouldn't recommend this place at all, I found it so unprofessional and they really sent us round the houses. I was offered a partial refund of £30 but still thought the entire experience was an absolute joke.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional Care at Tomlinsons Osteopaths – Years of Support and Remarkable Pain Relief I’ve been attending Tomlinsons Osteopaths on and off for several years due to a severe back injury. Throughout this time, I’ve consistently received outstanding care – both in times of acute pain and during periods of recovery. Thanks to their expert guidance, I was referred to a specialist Personal Trainer recommended by the clinic, which helped to build strength and support my injury, reducing the frequency of treatments needed. Even as my condition improved, I continued to return for maintenance and preventative care simply because the service is that good. Last year, I underwent surgery to remove a brain tumour, which sadly left me extremely weak, immobile, and on strong pain relief medication. Over the past few months, the pain has become increasingly difficult to manage. Yesterday, I returned to Tomlinsons Osteopaths for treatment – and this morning, for the first time in months, I was able to wake up and sit on the edge of my bed without severe pain. The relief from just one session has been incredible. I had thought I’d left a review before, as I’ve always been genuinely grateful, but today, I felt compelled to share my thanks properly. The professionalism, care, and lasting results I’ve received over the years are second to none. Thank you so much – I’m already looking forward to my next treatment. Fantastic experience: Fantastic service. I had been really struggling with a blocked ear, hearing loss and pulsatile tinnitus for over 2 months. 24 hours after one session of treatment and advice from Steve my symptoms were 90% improved. So many health issues can be helped by osteopathy without any need for prescription drugs. I have also used the service in the past for a back/hip issue and elbow pain. All the osteopaths are highly skilled and knowledgeable. I recommend this service wholeheartedly. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had a new hip 7 weeks ago, physio afterwards has been non existent from the hospital. I have had an excellent outcome with regards to my new hip, however, I do not know what the outcome would have been, without my osteopath, Steven Baines, at Tomlinson Osteopaths. 3 weeks after my operation, he took me under his wing, to make sure that I now have a WORKING hip. Fantastic experience: Steve has been treating my baby from 7 weeks for severe reflux. Straight away he identified the problem as his vegas nerve at the back of the neck had been aggravated by birth, which controls the gut. We attended once a week and baby absolutely loved the sessions. We would see immediate results which would then deteriorate as the week went on, but the more sessions we had the longer the improvement. After 6 sessions Im over the moon to report we have a happy healthy little boy whose no longer in pain, no longer vomiting and feeding lovely and we are getting great chunks of sleep at night! Fantastic experience: I've had chronic pain with a bulging disc in neck since 2011. Due to chronic funding cuts & austerity the NHS give pain meds, & not much else. I've been hunting for a solution & paid thousands of pounds to a chiropractor & physio. In January, the pain got significantly worse (unbearable) I've been passed from pillar to post with NHS. Then came Tomlinsons Osteopaths. What a breath of fresh air!! Honest, realistic, empathic, concerned, & actually interested in finding a solution/ treatment to identify and treat the chronic pain in my shoulder, arm & hand. (& not just to take my money for treatment on unknown problem). 1 x MRI scan later (recommended by Steve) identified a significant issue, with a trapped median nerve , more bulging discs). I really cannot thank Steve and recommended Tomlinsons enough for their help & support ❤️

I had been suffering from lower back pain when sitting, driving washing up, playing football and plenty of other things. Fantastic experience: I took advice by so called professionals Drs etc at first to see a physiotherapist (recommended if you've been in a car accident or come out of hospital). Don't get me wrong phisios have a place helping certain people,but after various treatments i havent felt any better. Maybe a week or so then back to pain.I felt frustrated and looked up osteopaths and found Tomlinson Associates,and met Stephen Baines who asked my full health history and various questions. He was very thorough before starting any treatment if i had any scans etc he wanted to see those first. Stephen is very professional and very approachable and is happy to explain in "layman's terms his diagnosis or treatment.He has done wonders for me over the years i had recently been discharged from hospital (still in considerate pain lower back),then told physios will be in contact in a week as per this didn't happen !!!!. I contacted Stephen who immediately got me in and in 2 to 3 treatments i was pain free standing bending etc. He was horrified at my treatment and then left in pain. I cannot stress enough how good Stephen is he may not be able to treat every symptom but he's honest and if there is a chance he will discuss it with you. He has treated my wife and daughter in the past same results . His practice is very well presented and immaculate and Andrea his personal assistant is a breath of fresh air easy to talk to on the telephone, and in person and again very proffesional and very efficient at was she does. All in all i would not go anywere else and would thoroughly recommend Stephen and Andrea to anybody who's in pain and tried different avenues. Give it a go !!!!.

Fantastic experience: Visited Tomlinson Osteopaths for my 3 month old baby due to her suffering with limited movement in her neck. Steven assessed her & found her shoulder wasn’t in the correct place & she had tightness in her neck. We would’ve never been aware of this if I didn’t take her & we are very grateful for the care we received. Fantastic experience: Coming here for years- everytime I put something out or get lower back pain or hip pain, Stephen fixes jt for me and tells me how to avoid it in future- if only I was better with the exercises. My neck pain seems to have gone for good, I haven’t had that for years!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Tomlinson's Osteopaths. We took our almost six month old baby girl as we had concerns with her arching her back, but found out from the osteopath that she is fine and growing and wanting to stretch her body and roll. He then examined her and said she is fine. Any other osteopath could have taken a weekly fee in treating our daughter for her reflex, or made up a reason for her arching her back, but Steve was honest throughout the entire consultation and said she was fine. It's rare to deal with such an honest professional in the private alternative medicine field. It's situated close to Rochdale town centre and is easy to find on the map. I'm not sure if parking is available outside, but anyone could park near the Petrus Hub. On another note, I requested some help from the osteopath regarding my mum and her osteoarthritis. I sent over her xray information and Steve phoned me back the following day to give us the lowdown on her condition. It wasn't good news, but he recommended some private hip surgeons. I highly recommend Tomlinson's. If you need the necessary help, they will be forthright and let you know the approximate time to treat your condition, and their fees, but if you don't they will be honest and save you some money.

Positive experience: My treatment is ongoing but for a first visit point of view I can confirm I was listened to and treated with the utmost respect, all the staff were polite and friendly without feeling like I was in a clinical environment. Definitely put me at ease ready for my next appointment.( treatment for trapped nerve in shoulder).

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Steven for many years. He has helped me with my back, rib pain and hip problems. Fantastic experience: I don't typically post, but Steven is a genius! Sorted my back pain in one session. It wasn't serious by the sounds of it (just hearing that helped me see that it wasn't about profit, more about helping me get back to normal), but my back had been causing me pain for about 6 weeks. Post session......felt like new! Team are all really friendly and helpful as well!

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic service. Bab’s in reception is such an asset to this company, she dealt with me initially when I called them to try and book an appointment. She was full of empathy and so nice and helped get me get an appointment as soon as possible. Face to face she is so helpful and chatty and just makes you feel Better when you’re at your worst. Jamie has been treating me and he is fantastic. He’s so professional but friendly. I can’t thank them enough. After using other osteopaths previously I would say these are by far the best in the area.

Fantastic experience: After suffering for over 2 years with sciatica throughout the pandemic, the practise nurse at my GP surgery recommended I try Steve at Tomlinsons. In just one visit I learnt more about my back than any private consultant had ever cared to share and the pain had miraculously disappeared! From the first phone call to the session/s and beyond, I cannot praise this clinic enough, relaxed and friendly, but superbly efficient and knowledgeable, in a way I don't want to be cured, I'll miss them so much!

Fantastic experience: Have suffered with chronic back pain for three continuous years. I recently underwent six 2hr sessions of rehab on the nhs. This helped to build my leg muscles and gave me the boost I needed. George at Tomlinsons put a lot more than the icing on the cake. I am now able to go for long walks for the first time in about four years,wonderful treatment off a great fella. I also met three members of reception who also were friendly and professional. Overall a perfect experience and outcome.

Wow after suffering for a year with pain and visiting a physiotherapist and a consultant with no prognosis, today I had an appointment with George who was fantastic. He listened to me and after a thorough examination he gave me an explanation of what was causing my pain. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Fantastic experience: Having spent years in pain and struggling with various issues stemming from bad knees, I called Tomlinsons on the off-chance they might be able to help. Previous treatments have been targeted towards my knees, but appointments with Jamie help treat the whole person, so each session is always different. Really grateful to Jamie for keeping me on my feet, moving and helping me with pain. Wouldn't recommend anywhere better!

From the lovely Babs and the other ladies on reception to the osteopaths, the care and attention the whole team give is second to none. When I first went in to see Steven, I was doubled up in agony and couldn't walk and stand up straight, I came out walking straighter and in less pain. Fantastic experience: I have have decades of painful and incorrect treatment over the years due to various injuries, on this occasion I had been unable to sit down for 3 weeks. I was due to go on holiday and worried I wouldn't be able to sit for the flight. I had 3 pain free sessions with Stephen Baines as I was able to sit for short periods and was able to go on holiday and well on my way to making a full recovery. Another 3 sessions I was back to normal and pain free.

Fantastic experience: I have been using Tomlinson Osteopaths since having spinal surgery in 2015 and I cannot thank Steven and the receptionists enough for their fantastic service . Steven has assisted me in recovery and ongoing support for a thoracic laminectomy , piriformis sciatica, as well as other injuries (sport related) and helps manage my long term nerve damaged areas with effective treatments . I hope I will always have access to this service as it does make my life much more comfortable. Over the years I have worked a very physical job outdoors in the equestrian industry and without regular osteopath visits I wouldn't have been able to do what I do. Fantastic experience: Have been coming to Tomlinson Osteopaths for many years now and would recommend to any and every body. For 13 years I’ve had back problems which a MRI scan confirmed was 2 bulging discs. I’ve tried physio, spinal injections, painkillers, you name it. The one thing that has truly worked is regular treatment, primarily with Steven who is fantastic! All of my husbands family have been treated here and recently my mum with sciatica. Fantastic experience: 8 years ago I took my son for cranial osteopathy when he was just 6 weeks. We had a difficult childbirth and he was struggling with many things , crying a lot and couldn't turn his head around. After just one session we have seen massive improvement and calmer baby. With our daughter we went when she was 2 weeks old and she struggled with tummy issues, colic, and difficult sleeping. Improvement was straight away after 1 session! For myself I have been few times as after my daughter I struggled with my hips , back and neck and it was all sorted within 2 session. Finally last year after a lot of stress and tension I went with migraines and headaches and it all went away and I felt like a new person after struggling for months. Definitely recommend! Fantastic experience: Took my baby to see Steve for cranial osteopath treatment. After 3 treatments we were amazed to have a completely different and very smiley baby, something we could have only dreamed of after having months of none stop crying. Steve is great with babies and works around them where he can. He has a great sense of humour and understanding when it comes to parenting too. He is a father himself and can relate or offer advice and tips (and you take it or leave it, he doesn't mind.) The ladies on the front desk were also very lovely and patient and were always happy to help in any way they could. They were understanding when I rushed off if baby was happily sleeping (a rarity that they understood was golden and on borrowed time lol) rather than hounding me to book my next appointment. Honestly, we left here every time feeling happy with the services and I would certainly recommend if you are looking to book any of their treatments.

Fantastic experience: In March of this year I was suffering with chronic back pain after an injury at the gym. I rested it for six weeks and there was very little improvement. I made an appointment to see Caspar at Tomlinsons Osteopaths. Caspar went through my previous medical history and diagnosed the problem immediately and correctly. I had a course of five treatments and given various exercises to assist my recovery. I’m well on my way now to a full recovery.
