Fantastic experience: Have been going to Altius Health for about a month now, fractured my neck and was in a neck brace for 3 month. Everyone who I seen at Altius have been excellent and have explained everything to me. Would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Started seeing Max for physio for issues with my right foot. I felt comfortable straight away and Max appeared knowledgeable in his area of expertise. Still early days but I will stick with the suggested treatment and exercises.

Fantastic experience: Max at Altius was very helpful with my son’s football injury. He was very experienced in working with young footballers and the types of injuries they can sustain due to bones growing. He was also great with my son and very personable. He completed a thorough examination and gave us some exercises to do that have helped to resolve the problem. I’d definitely bring my son back to Max in the future if anything were to come up again.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had physio lately with Altius under the care of Max Stephenson. He has been excellent-really knowledgeable about the problem I was suffering with and the treatment provided was great. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing physiotherapy.

Fantastic experience: Very impressed. My ever first encounter with a physio. I had severe back pain, could hardly walk. Alan Raw put me at ease straight away, diagnosed my issue with little fuss, and provided pain relief via manipulation. He gave me some tricky stretches to do which were very effective but explained them to me clearly. I ended up having only a handful of sessions with Alan, much less than I expected, and in the 18 months since my last appointment have not had any difficulties with my back. Reception were really helpful too. No hesitation whatsover in recommending Altius.

Whilst there was only time for a 30 min consultation,I was impressed with Alan's extensive knowledge and his undoubted experience in this sector. 2 more sessions have been booked in and the approach is holistic and based on the individual needs of the patient.

After seeing different physios over the years for a recurring issue, it was so refreshing to have Max Stephenson really listen, empathise and get to the root cause. Fantastic experience: My session was with luke roscoe, he is proffesional, well educated in his work and very reassuring. The treatment itself was fantasic, my shoulder has needed treatment for a long time, i tried the nhs without success, ive been taking pain killers for years, enough was enough and im so happy that i found altius, ive not taken pain killers since my session and look forwards to my next one. 10/10

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Altius for a number of years, most recently with a shoulder injury after a heavy landing coming off my mountain bike. I saw Luke last week and again today - diagnosis and treatment has been spot on. Each session it's felt better. As long as I keep falling off by bike, I'll keep going to Altius!

Fantastic experience: I see Alan on a regular basis as I have had issues with my neck, back and legs in the past. Alan is highly experienced and is able to fix my problems. I strongly recommend Alan to you if you need a physio. He is the best out there IMO.

Fantastic experience: Luke Roscoe has improved my life ten fold in just one session! After 6 months of back had hip pain, going for MRIs, visiting and osteopath, consulting surgeons and trying a hip steroid... I'd lost hope that I'd ever get back to normal. Luke did a thorough assessment of my history, ran some diagnostic assessments on my hip strength and explained what hed found, and then began working on my sciatic and hip area. The past week I've had a new lease of life. Looking forward to weekly sessions and constantly improving and getting my active lifestyle back.

Clearly highly trained and able to skilfully restore my tight muscles following a sports related injury. Delighted and will definitely be using again

Fantastic experience: I was dubious taking a 9 yr old for physio. Luke has been amazing with him. My son has Ben struggling with a hamstring injury for several months. Cole has seen luke twice who has been very good at interacting with him. He's given us some exercises to do at home and we can see improvement already. I'm extremely grateful for luke being kind and patient aswell as talking to my son on his level and making sure he understands what he is doing and why.

Fantastic experience: From the way Fran made booking the appointment very easy, and the amazing welcome she gave on my arrival, to the fantastic treatment delivered by Sam, the whole experience at Altius has been worthy of five stars. My issue was diagnosed quickly and then treated appropriately over the course of five visits. I'm referring my wife to them, which speaks volumes! I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Altius! 5*

Fantastic experience: I was recommended by a friend to visit Altius Healthcare and see Doug to help aid my recovery from two bulging discs and leg pain. I had originally been seeing another physio for 6-8 weeks and felt I just wasn't progressing. Since seeing Doug, I have seen a huge improvement and I feel like I am progressing each week which I feel is key during a recover phase. Doug is clearly very knowledgeable, and he was able to use his experience to find the root cause of my issues and then act upon accordingly. I am looking forward to continuing my recovery journey with Doug and the team at Altius Healthcare. All of the staff are really friendly, and I would recommend this practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Having seen two orthopaedic surgeons and got conflicting information for a very painful knee a brace was recommended. It needed fitting and Altus was recommended. I am so glad I found them. The level of professionalism plus kindness is quite special. More than anything I Needed to understand what my problem was. So, after X-ray and ultrasound scan, they suggested treatments and ,today, after two years, I have a clear picture of my problem. It is now manageable without an operation or a brace and I am very grateful.

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend Altius bury enough. After having a couple of non fault car crashes, struggling with neck and shoulder injury, I seen numerous physios in the north, but these guys have helped me more in a couple of sessions than the other places I’ve used through the insurance all together. Both Alan and Doug are highly experienced and I’m looking forward to becoming more active again due to their treatments. The receptionist Fran is welcoming and offer great customer service.

Fantastic experience: I had a car crash in December 2021 & I have been having physiotherapy for a few months to treat soft tissue injury on my back & shoulder. Ashley is my therapist & he is extremely thorough & directional in his method of therapy ensuring he concentrates on the particular areas of I am troubled with. Also very knowledgeable about the anatomy of the human body. I was given exercises to do at home in-between sessions. The staff are very professional & there are good levels of communication to remind you of appointment times. I would recommend Altius to anyone. Hilary Jackson

Fantastic experience: Been treated at Altus for a few months now for a stubborn planter fasciitis problem and received shockwave therapy, which isn’t really used in may Physio practices. Couldn’t wish for better service from receptionist through to physio. I was treated by Ashley, who outlined all the stages of my treatment, he was really knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: I would recommend Altius Healthcare to everyone. I ruptured my ankle in November whilst playing football, and from the first day I rang up I was looked after. My physio Sam Hatton helped arrange an MRI and talked me through the results in a way that I could understand. I immediately felt reassured. After a few months of excellent treatment, I started running again this week without any need for surgery. I went to the clinic every fortnight for expert treatment, and followed Sam’s instructions on exercises to continue to do at home. Every time I walked out of the clinic I felt better and better. I honestly cannot thank Altius and Sam enough.

Fantastic experience: Been struggling with cervicogenic headaches for nearly a year. Despite their best efforts, the NHS treatment was not making any difference. Found out by chance that this practice is a specialist in my condition. I have been seeing Sam who after 3 sessions has produced some great results.

Fantastic experience: Doug was recommended to me by another physio and was super impressed. My son is a footballer and the club physio has said she thought that the issue he was experiencing was Chronic Compression Syndrome which he was very anxious about. Doug very quickly determined that the issue was actually linked to his back and after a thorough examination, gave him lots of stretches and exercises to do to alleviate what is going on. Happy to recommend Doug and the practice

It makes a lovely change from my NHS physios and im looking forward to the next meeting so i can check the progress and build on the work ive done. I feel like im in excellent hands and it gives me confidence that i can be pain free in the future.

Fantastic experience: Today I went for my 3 appointment with Sam he is very experienced and professional. He massaged my back and then cracked it as he is a qualified chiropractor, now my back feels amazing and would highly recommend him as he is improving my overall health aswell as my injury! Great service!!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been suffering with thumb joint pain for a number of years and Alan was recommended to me by my brother. Alan examined my hands and went through my history . He performed acupuncture on both thumbs which I immediately notice an improvement . Alan also referred me to a hand surgeon who saw me the very next day ! A week after that visit I had steroid infections in both thumbs ! However my problem is so severe ( stage 4 arthritis ) I will need surgery . I can’t thank Alan enough for his quick assessment and referral .

Fantastic experience: Cant recommend Altius enough! I've been seeing with Doug and Colin for knee arthritis and associated issues. Doug has been amazing throughout in diagnosing, explaining and supporting me to find the correct treatment and surgery (in my case). Im now working with Doug and Colin to rehab after my surgery. As well as offering knowledge, expertise and treatment, both Doug and Colin have been a great support on understanding the impact of injury on mental health and emotions.They just 'get it'!This has made a big difference for me and helped a lot. ALtius was recommended to me by both BUPA and a private surgeons as offering first class and upto date rehab physio. So glad I found them! Thanks guys!

Fantastic experience: Had an ACL & Meniscus reconstruction in November 2020, which has been followed up by Altius & Physio, Sam. Currently 20-25% through recovery but he has been fantastic so far, and further ahead than I thought I would be/should be. Very knowledgeable, and most importantly feel like you're getting something out of each session. Further to this, Francine is warm & welcoming even in these times (masks, social distance & ppe etc). Happy to recommend this clinic & Sam in particular.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been struggling with my ankle for 3 months and had previously seen a different physio without much progress. Altius is close to me and easy to park so thought I’d give it a try. So happy I did...Sam Hatton was very professional and the results were incredible. Immediate improvement after my first session. Fantastic experience: Altius Healthcare and Doug Jones had been recommended to me after I had torn my patellar tendon. I had initially spent 6 weeks with a generalist physio in Manchester, but due to a lack of progress with my rehab I felt I needed to see a knee / sports specialist. Doug made an immediate difference with both the treatment he provided, and with the detailed and progressive training programme I received. Each session has included shockwave therapy, muscle massage, graston therapy and acupuncture, and the training programme is constantly monitored and adjusted to ensure the right amount of training is applied at the right times. Its clear that Doug and his team have a genuine interest and passion in the treatment and service they provide, I would highly recommend them for any physio related requirement.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding Virtual Physio Service. Highly recommend. The virtual sessions are absolutely brilliant with Doug and I can’t recommend virtual physio highly enough. Doug is excellent, very professional, highly knowledgeable and a fantastic support in my recovery from a nasty ankle/leg trauma. The virtual physio concentrates on strength, function, movement and my general well being. I’ve been 8mths since my injury, 4 ops and I’m definitely benefiting and improving after each session. it’s such a great way to continue my physio whilst in lockdown.
