Stephen has worked closely with me over those past 6 weeks, to help deliver a PB at the marathon. Stephen guided me through every step, with good information, and explanations. Fantastic experience: I started seeing Kerry after being in a lot of pain and finding myself unable to move comfortably and play with my children and I was also suffering with awful migraines! After just 12 sessions my migraines have reduced more than they ever did with all the medication, I’m moving freely and can feel how much my posture has improved, I’m sleeping better and just generally enjoying life so much more! It was so interesting to see from the scans how my body was so misaligned and then see the improvements with the follow up scans it’s been amazing! Fantastic experience: Before I started coming to the chiropractor and getting adjusted by Kerry, I was suffering really badly with lower back pain to the point I would cry because it hurt to stand up straight and also intense migraines to the point the only thing that helped was sleeping. I also currently suffer with Endometriosis aswell and before being adjusted my flare ups use to be absolutely intense to the point I couldnt stand up, I couldnt lay flat the only thing I could do was lay on my side curled in a ball till it passed. And now I hardly feel them because my body isnt as tense as it was which is a relief. I also no longer suffer with migraines as much now and the lower back pain has subsided aswell I definitely recommend to anyone its worth getting adjusted. Fantastic experience: I had always been sceptical about the benefits of this type of treatment, and indeed the motives of those who provide it (financial objectives trumping patient welfare). I sustained an injury to my lower back, which had a secondary impact on the rest of my spine (to go with my dodgy posture due to years of living in a cottage with low beams and doorways). At the time, I was regularly taking Nurofen to help me sleep. At our first meeting, Stephen was able to visualise for me the extent of the issues, the causes, and the treatment ‘journey’ that would be needed to achieve my goals. The latter being – to make a physical recovery that could be sustained, and that would not depend on visits to the Chiropractor in the long term. He quickly provided exercises so I could start self-helping my recovery and has continued to do this to reduce the chances of a repeat issue, and mitigate the risk of a new problem. Throughout I believe Stephen has taken an ethical approach - putting my recovery and my goals first, rather than what may be best for the practice financially. My care has been excellent, and I would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Fantastic experience: I went to Brent after a knee op left me struggling to walk easily; I had not seen a chiropractor before and not sure what to expect. Brent asked me the first or second week how I was and I said ‘ok’ and he said to me “well I aim to get you to point where you say brilliant”. I was sceptical, I can now say “brilliant”. The added bonus was I am sleeping better, my mental health has improved as has my resilience and overwhelm after a difficult couple of years. Pain has gone from 10/10 down to 1/10 and much more manageable in my shoulder and back not just my knee which is what I initially went for. Worth every penny, it’s been life changing.

Fantastic experience: After suffering with back problems all my adult life and having tried the odd chiropractor appointment along the way, I NEVER actually expected to gain much from going again ………. However that was until I came to Daventry Chiropractic and met Kerry and the team there - my chronic and constant daily pains have reduced so much (at least 50%) by continuing on the program set out for me and my now partially broken (rather than completely broken - I’ll take the win) body. Don’t get me wrong, my body is still adjusting to a new “normal” which will take time and muscle memory to regain proper posture etc but after 30 years of agony - I am feeling more human once more. If you have any doubts, don’t !! Follow the program through to completion and you will see significant results. Kerry Murtagh also really puts you at ease during your appointments too and the whole team there are fab - I cannot recommend them highly enough enough.

Fantastic experience: I had an issue with my left hip, which especially give me issues when sleeping on at as well as hindering somewhat when walking and exercising so decided to give the Chiropractor a go and damn glad that I did. The process is very thorough in that you are assessed on the first visit and it was quite shocking to see how imbalanced I was and Brett advised me that I did not have an underlying structural issue but I just needed balancing out and my brain talking to my body better. I must admit I did not fully understand this but committed to it anyway. I am happy to say that after twelve visits I feel a heck of a lot better, as the treatment addresses all area's that need work on, for instance my shoulders/neck feel so much better, I had just gotten used to the tightness there. My hip is a lot better, still not 100% but especially during the day I feel great and can walk as much as I want and just feel stronger all over thanks to the sessions, I am even back doing circuit training which is great. I would thoroughly recommend giving this a go, it is not a torture session either, you wont hear any screaming from the treatment rooms lol, it is rather surprising about how much gain you get for so little pain. I have now signed up for a second lot of 12 which is just once a month/6 weeks just for maintenance really and have also referred my wife as think this will benefit her too. So if you are considering this, then just as per the Nike advert - Just do it :)

Fantastic experience: I've Struggled with a lot of pain especially in my hip which limited my mobility massively for a good few years, I couldn't move without being in a lot of pain everyday. Doctors don't know what is wrong. But I started seeing kerry recently the difference in my pain level is remarkable, I had tried everything and nothing worked I should have done it way sooner. And I have fibromyalgia and it has helped that alot too, and due to being in less pain,my fatigue has reduced also. Fantastic experience: Kerry Murtaugh: Chiropractic Doctor or Magic hands? My first appointment with Kerry was in October 2025. I was at the stage where I could not get out of bed, reach to put my socks on, or stand up straight without pain. Years of sporting abuse and general personal mismanagement had forced me to seek professional help. The professional was Kerry Murtaugh and what a professional she is. My first session was an assessment, where time and care were spent to discuss my situation, run measurements through a diagnostic programme and then have an initial treatment. This manipulation of me brought forth all manner of noises that were akin to bubble wrap being popped, such was the measure of my own mistreatment. Session two was the discussion of the findings garnered from the measurements taken the previous session and a thorough explanation of what I had done to myself, plus more manipulations. From there, Kerry has systematically nurtured me with exercises to be completed, encouraging words and skilful manipulations which bely her diminutive frame. Over the course of time I have spent under her care, she has (she will say ‘we have’) changed me from a metaphorical rusted hinge on a gate to one that moves smoothly with no squeaking. I can get out of bed without bracing for pain. I can reach my toes and put my socks on and not have to take a deep breath before doing so. The all-day dull pain in my lower back has completely gone. I feel like a different person. Kerry will say it is the joint effort – admittedly I have changed aspects of my lifestyle, guided by Kerry, in tandem with my treatment – but Magic-hands Murtaugh has to take the credit as without her, I would still be a self-inflicted physical wreck. Fantastic experience: Don't wait. Take control of you life and well being by booking an appointment. What have you got to lose? I had no pain but I discovered my body was out of shape and had the potential for giving me problems after a bad fall left me with a seriously twisted ankle. I hobbled to my first apointment using a walking stick. Now after a few appoinments my ankle is better and so is my posture. I have ditched the walking stick and I am confidentally walking again without fear of falling. You owe it to yourself to give this Chiropractor a try. You won't regret it.

If you are suffering and want to try all avenues then give this ago if you can afford it. Combined with other treatments and exercises this may be what you need.

Fantastic experience: I went to Daventry Chiropractic Care after suffering lower abdominal pain for 7 months and after numerous tests done by my gp didn’t throw any light on what was causing it. Within 20 minutes of my first consultation Stephen diagnosed it as the psoas muscle. I opted for the 12 appointment plan, the problem disappeared after only a few visits and I could drive again without feeling extreme discomfort on pressing the clutch pedal. The rest of the visits were focused on adjusting my poor posture and I am very grateful for all his care and guidance over the last few weeks, I feel like I am walking taller and with more ease in general. Fantastic experience: I decided to see a chiropractor as I felt like my GP couldn’t do anymore for me, I booked an appointment to see Kerry and had an assessment which surprised me how bad my posture was, and after explanations things made a lot of sense, so I signed up for a care plan. 12 sessions later I’m feeling a lot better and have a better understanding as to why certain areas of my body ache more than others. My treatment is still ongoing but I can see light at the end of the tunnel. Negative experience: Dr Brent is absolutely fantastic, five stars, no question. After years as a patient, I genuinely can’t fault him. Unfortunately, I’ve recently cancelled my membership, and it’s entirely down to their new Direct Debit provider/scheme. For the first couple of years, I never had a single payment issue, but the last 4–5 months have been nothing but problems — failed Direct Debit setups, extra charges applied when payments didn’t go through on time, and a general mess that’s been more hassle than it’s worth. The final straw was today. My appointment was on the 14th, but my Direct Debit doesn’t come out until the 19th, so I was asked to pay £45 upfront (reduced to £25 after a £20 credit they’d already given me for previous issues), with another Direct Debit payment due in just a few days on top. Such a shame, this is no reflection on Dr Brent whatsoever. He’s brilliant!

She has been extremely welcoming and informative since day one. Every session has been very relaxing and I feel so much better by the end, it's great. Price wise, I personally think they are pretty well priced and having the option of block booking is very helpful too. Appointments are easy to come by and they are very happy to move things around to suit. My posture is so much better and it actually looks like I've lost more weight which is due to how I'm now carrying it. All in all a fantastic place, you should give it a go, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Fantastic experience: I don't leave reviews but thought the team at Daventry Chiropractic deserved one,I can't thank them enough for what they've helped me through,seriously injured my back in April which ended up me being taken to A and E unable to walk or stand, after an xray there with nothing found and was unwilling to do an Mri as it wasn't classed as an emergency weirldy! I was sent on my way,trips to doctors several times i found was very unhelpful and sole destroying even though I was in excruciating pain all that was offered was very strong medication which wasn't helpful when trying to run a business and your head is in a daze,I had to battle to get an Mri carried out after many visits,a friend suggested booking into Daventry Chiropractic after he was helped with an issue in the past which I greatfully did and the progress after the 2nd visit has been astonishing and improves everytime, I've had over 20 appointments so far and genuinely look forward to the adjustments,sciatica I suffered with on my right leg has completely gone after a short period and the pain from degenerative discs in my neck that I've been battling with for 18yrs has been a huge improvement,you have to keep up with treatments and I know I've still got some way to go but can't recommend them highly enough,thank you Daventry Chiropractic,keep up the amazing care,Thank you!!

Negative experience: Worst receptionist I ever had to speak with today 8am. She could not manage to fit me in despite I’ve explained to her I was coming all the way from Northampton to meet Dr Brent, I found some heavy traffic on the way and I was being late less than 10 minutes, very upsetting that I’ve wasted my time travelling, fuel money, day off from work. Surely she could have helped me instead of telling to reschedule for a different day, And I’ve explained i was less than 10 minutes away from them. I had to turn around and go back in Northampton at my house. Not angry but sad for a Chiropractor centre having a receptionist like that.

Fantastic experience: For about 12 yrs I have been suffering a lot of pain with a prolapsed disc injury and sciatica down my right hand side into my leg which has affected my mobility and my ability to do tasks which other people take for granted. Dr Alun explained everything in detail and set out a plan of what was needed to achieve the results I wanted, after several sessions I’ve gained more mobility and the pain has gone from being excruciating to minimal. After falling on a tarmac playground, having had both legs taken out from under me by a scooter, I started with siatic pain. This led to hip pain, a tight hamstring, which pulled my glute muscle. I woke up everyday with pain and had to take painkillers 3 x a day. Hoping it would resolve itself...it got worse. I could hardly walk and bending was becoming impossible. After my assessment and first adjustment, I woke up the next morning and was scared to move. Nothing. No pain. I went for a second adjustment and will be doing maintenance follow ups. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Daventry Chiropractic now for some time after injuring my back at work. It has been amazing and I have seen great results. I have had migraines for a few years now that have been hard and painful to deal with when they come. Since going to Dr.Alun, he has helped with my migraines. They are now few and far between with recovery time being so much better. Although the migraines won’t be curable, it has been a big change in my life and is a relief to know they’re not going to be as bad as they used to be. I would 100% recommend Dr.Alun, I have felt safe and comfortable and he always has time to listen and tailor sessions to your needs.

Negative experience: I went in with a bad back and came out with a broken rib! Several weeks later and still not sleeping well due to the pain caused by this injury. Although I received a full refund I was disappointed that Alun refused to accept that despite the extreme pain I was in and my GP's diagnosis he had indeed broken my rib.

Fantastic experience: Earlier this year, I was planning to walk of the Camino and was a bit worried that the pain in my legs and back would prevent me enjoying the experience. I went to Dr Alun through personal recommendation and it was a great decision. The early treatments were challenging but Alun explained his process and I kept faith. I walked 17 miles a day on Camino without any pain. Physically I feel significantly better than I did a year ago. I intend to stick with Alun's maintenance programme. Fantastic experience: I had many years of back pain and could hardly walk let alone run or lift anything. On my 1st visit he said what would you like to be able to do ? I said the park run every Saturday, but said that would be a miracle, he replied give me a month or two and I'm sure we will get there, understandably was very sceptical.. Well it's a few months and week by week I've lost the back pain and the pains down both my legs are now gone, I've done two totally painless park runs, I'm just so pleased I went to Alun and wish I had found him years ago.
