Fantastic experience: Tore my ACL and MCL whilst skiing ineptly…managed to avoid surgery thanks to help from Sydney at C&G, who was great to work with. Clear advice and explanations alongside a regularly updated exercise programme (which I mostly kept to!), saw me return to running and racquet sports ahead of schedule.

Fantastic experience: Sydney, as well as being easy to work with, has a relaxed professional approach. Was very good at defining the issue and what your goal(s) are then creating a set of exercises to help strengthen and correct the problems. As you progress she's very good at adjusting and adapting exercises to maintain your progression. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Huge shout out to Sydney Burechailo - amazing physio! Sorted my rotator cuff issue in a month with range of tests, shock wave therapy, band exercises and regular strength measurements. Highly professional, would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I can't praise Isabel highly enough for her work this summer sorting out two separate problems, either of which could have prevented me playing in a tournament in August that I'd been preparing for all year. In each case, she identified the problem and put in place a very well judged programme to ensure not only that the immediate issue was sorted but also that I had the strength to avoid a repeat. Her calm, thoughtful and measured approach (and willingness to answer my endless questions!) gave me confidence from the start. And I played the tournament from start to finish without mishap. A very satisfied customer!

Fantastic experience: I started fitness classes in February and from lifting weights I began to have pains in both of my knees. Not wanting to stop my classes one of the PTs recommended I go and see Isabel at Carter & George. Isabel has been fantastic, from booking the initial appointment, all the way through to helping me build strength in my quads and hamstrings, with the physio programme of exercises she provided. She also recommended the shockwave machine which I was apprehensive about, but Isabel put me at ease with her friendly nature. Even on the week Isabel was on leave she referred me to her lovely colleague Sydney so my treatment could continue. It really shows her duty of care and how professional Isabel is. I would highly recommend Carter & George.

Fantastic experience: Sydney was very thorough, patient and encouraging with our 15 year old following a sports injury. She provided detailed instructions and followed up frequently.

Fantastic experience: I tore my ACL and meniscus skiing and have been seeing Tim and Sydney both pre and post surgery. Tim and Sydney are both excellent. They go to great lengths to ensure I understand and am comfortable with my rehab treatment; demonstrate a deep understanding of my condition and are helping me achieve my fitness goals; in particular, returning to running. I would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a great experience both with Zoe and Sydney at the Harpenden practice. I attended as a last resort having been told that there was nothing that could be done for my injury. The team took time to listen to my issues and set clear expectations on what could be done to support my recovery. I feel we are a great team with everyone keeping to “their part of the deal” so to speak. And whilst recovery isn’t linear, I feel I am getting stronger. I am enjoying seeing Sydney on a weekly basis to track progress, make changes as necessary and measure improvements which encourages me to keep going. The whole team, and specifically Sydney, are a credit to the practice and I am very happy with the outcomes so far.

Zoe and Sydney have been hugely supportive and have swiftly built different programmes for me as the extent of my injury became clearer and as rehab has progressed. Sydney has really gone the extra mile to work around my schedule and to send me programmes and progress reports very quickly after consultations. I’ve particularly valued the holistic approach within the team and with external experts. I feel I’ve had real added value from other expert opinion and advice on my injury and treatment being available to me and incorporated by Sydney and the team.

Fantastic experience: I was a client of Grainne's at St Albans. Grainne was the first professional in a long line of services that I have accessed previously that my " issues" may have a root cause rather than be ligament pain. Following her guidance and support I have been diagnosed with a hypermobility disorder that ive had since birth. Throughout this she has been incredible- supportive, adaptive and supporting me to access services with evidence. I recommend her 100 percent and will always prioritise her above any other professional. Thank you Grainne.

For the first time I am confident that I will be getting the right treatment for my condition. I have spent good money seeing a pain consultant, I left with a prescription for medication that left me feeling less than human. Fantastic experience: Zoe has helped me rehab a shoulder injury which I have suffered from for 2 years now and got me back to full strength within just 2 months of seeing her. She is super knowledgable and set me a programme that was varied and challenging, but also very realistic to my lifestyle and physical profession. I didn’t think my shoulder would feel as strong again let alone in such a short amount of time. I feel confident going back to contact sport and my job without having to even think about my injury. I couldn’t recommend Zoe and Carter & George enough.

Zoe was amazing from the start—professional, kind, and incredibly reassuring. She recommended acupuncture and needling, which I was initially nervous about, but she made the whole process feel completely safe and comfortable. I honestly didn’t need to worry with Zoe in control. The treatment has helped me so much, and I’m really grateful for her care. Fantastic experience: I have been receiving physio from Zoe for the past few months. She is friendly, helpful and informative. She has supported me in working on a back injury through the sessions and exercises she provided to improve my strength. I am now at the point where I feel comfortable returning to bouldering, which was my aim. She also gave me the confidence to look into a foot problem I have been experiencing. Thanks to her, I caught it early, with the exercises she provided and better shoes, I should be able to keep hiking for many years ahead. I would highly recommend this physio, especially Zoe!

Fantastic experience: I did my first session with Tim and all the other reviews on here are absolutely accurate. He took the time to understand the issue i had. Worked out a sensible and realistic plan to address the issue and articulated exactly what that plan is, what i needed to do and what he would do. Even the initial assessment showed that he could understand where my pain points were. I have had a lot of false starts when it comes to this issue but this is the first time, across physio, chiropractor and other specialists, both in the US and UK where I felt that the practitioner had a good understanding of the issue and a realistic, sustainable plan to solve it. Although i had to go through some necessary pain I am looking forward to working through this with Tim as i have confidence that he can get me where i need to be.

Fantastic experience: I first visited Carter & George from recommendation of a friend after I suffered a running injury which Zoe W. diagnosed as Hamstring Tendinopathy. Zoe is an excellent physiotherapist and guided me through every step of the recovery process. Even after I moved out of the area, I still returned to her for my appointments which is a testament to her professional and friendly manner. Not only has she helped with getting me back to my goals but also explained every exercise and rehab step which has helped me understand my injury and given me the knowledge to further help support my recovery. I highly recommend Zoe and Carter & George and will continue to do so to friends and colleagues.

Fantastic experience: Tim at Carter and George is the BEST physio in the whole world! When I first visited him four months ago I was in a lot of pain, and he's used his considerable depth of knowledge to help me both alleviate this pain and improve my posture over time. He's very understanding and easy to talk to, and takes a dynamic and tailored approach to every patient, appreciating the multitude of factors that an contribute to both pain and rehabilitation. I would recommend him whole-heartedly and often do, both locally and further afield.

Lisa was really helpful putting me in contact with Grainne who has been absolutely fantastic in working with me to put together a tailored rehabilitation programme to help me get back to running.
