I found her caring, friendly and positive approach to my condition incredibly reassuring during a very difficult time for me. I had an initial session with Michelle shortly before being out of the country for a number of weeks and was delighted to find that Michelle took the trouble to email me to see how I was whilst I was away. Upon returning to the UK, I had a number of treatments, each one helping to reduce the pain and the worry that I was experiencing. Michelle took the time to explain the treatments she was providing and also helped me to understand how pain is processed by the body and brain, which added further reassurance that a full recovery was possible. The treatments, in conjunction with home exercises suggested by Michelle have meant that I have been able to return to a normal, active life - something that a few months ago seemed impossible. This is a fantastic service from a kind, thorough and incredibly well-informed health care professional. If I could award more than five stars, I would.

After I explained my issue (50 yr old ankle injury ) she quickly got to work giving physical manipulation, demonstrating home exercises and recommended some minor changes to footwear. Fantastic experience: I am in my seventies and suffer with osteo arthritis. It's a debilitating illness which although quite common, can be quite debilitating and painful. I was referred by a professional body to Hands on Care and to Katherine. They are fully trained osteopaths. Katherine is very patient, thorough and very knowledgeable. She goes to great lengths to diagnose and understand the pain I experience and finds ways to treat my condition. She gives me lots to do in between appointments but the great thing is that my condition definitely improves if I put in as much effort as Katherine does! The result is that my pain is more bearable and of course, my daily life is much more pleasant. I thoroughly recommend "Hands on Care" and Katherine offers me a real life line.

Fantastic experience: I went to see Katherine following a horrible year of ill health that had left me with lower back pain, pains in my left hip and leg and feeling out of kilter. Katherine quickly found my issues and now after just three sessions (including acupuncture) I am finally upright and more balanced plus I can sleep without pain and get up in the morning with very little stiffness. I can’t tell you what a difference it makes to my life - I no longer feel like I’m old before my time and I don’t have to take anti-inflammatory pain killers. Fantastic experience: Would thoroughly recommend Katherine. Was recommended her by my partner who had a positive experience with Katherine resolving his posturally related tension headaches. I had a grumbling minor niggle in my back related to postural imbalance. I found the booking process was so easy online, found an appointment time that suited me (evenings and Saturdays have been really helpful for myself and my partner), and she was covered by our private medical insurance. Clear and thorough instructions on the booking email - including to the car park which is a fab bonus being in the centre of Christchurch. During my initial appointment she took a thorough history and examination, and offered me an explanation of issues and how to resolve them. Managed to get a mix of treatments in the first session - some manipulation, deep tissue work and western acupuncture. She explained what she doing whilst performing each treatments. Throughout Katherine was friendly and professional.

After the consultation and treatment there was an immediate improvement. A second visit resulted in a complete recovery, with no further pain. Fantastic experience: I went to see Katherine at the Osteopaths after I had been to my doctor to find out why I was getting so many headaches, also I had neck and lower back problems The doctor just did a blood test and couldn’t find any problems, so I was recommended by a friend to try a Osteopath to see if they could help. I wasn’t sure if that would help, but I’m pleased to say that Katherine really help me with my neck, back, and amazingly with my headaches, I now do the exercises she gave me to do at home. And have a lot fewer headaches. So I can really recommend the Osteopath to anyone who has any of the problems that I’ve had.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending Kathrine’s since 2015 when I moved south bringing a history of neck and back problems. Having spoken to me in length about my past work and motorcycle sports. She went on to successfully treat me each time I get a flare up, keeping me active enough to continue my motorcycling. Kathrine also contacted my GP suggesting I’m tested for carpal tunnel syndrome. Which is on going. I think of her as a friend as well as my osteopath.

Fantastic experience: Having secondary lymphoedema in my hand and arm due to breast cancer surgery many years ago, I was very pleased to find Lorna, who specialises in manual lymphatic drainage. Lorna is knowledgeable and extremely skilled and has helped to keep my lymphoedema from getting worse. Definitely recommended.

Fantastic experience: As a bell ringer I was experiencing pain and stiffness in my shoulders and upper arms and I visited Michelle at Hands On Care on my wife's recommendation. After a question and answer session and examination she explained what was happening and demonstrated some simple exercises for me to do. She also worked on my back and neck and after 3 appointments I had much more free movement in my arms. A surprise result was also being able to look round properly at road junctions when I turned my head.

Fantastic experience: I've been visiting Michelle at Hands on Care, Christchurch for over a year now, as and when I feel the need to keep on top of my neck and shoulder stiffness which contributes to my migraines. I can always feel the difference afterwards. Michelle really listens to your symptoms and has also suggested many helpful things to try at home alongside osteopathy to further improve my health and general well-being, but not at all in a pushy way which I have come across elsewhere. I would not hesitate to recommend Hands on Care, as having tried other therapies, including acupuncture and chiropractic, I have felt much more benefit from osteopathy here.

Fantastic experience: I have suffered from ongoing neck and lower back pain for many years as a result of various accidents. Over those years I have seen both chiropractors and physiotherapists with limited good results but have never been completely pain free. A friend recommended Katherine Terry very highly so I felt optimistic when making my initial appointment. When I first met Katherine I was in immense pain with my neck and shoulders and had very limited movement when turning my head. My lower back was quite immobile although less painful than my neck. After several sessions the pain in both areas had improved significantly and I had considerably more movement in my neck and lower back. Katherine gave me targeted exercises to do in between treatments which helped to ease the pain and increase movement. I now visit Katherine monthly for maintenance and prevention. I will always have ongoing issues with my back and neck but for the first time in years I am completely pain free at times which I never thought I would achieve. Katherine has identified the triggers that can cause a pain flare up which has been really helpful. Throughout my treatment with Katherine she has been professional and knowledgeable. She is also very friendly and approachable, and I have always felt very comfortable during my treatments. I thoroughly recommend Katherine for anyone suffering pain and discomfort.
