Fantastic experience: I was in a really bad place when I first came to the practice. No pain relief medication worked. By having an X-ray it enabled Richard Sutton to work with me to reverse the damage to my spine. It has been a journey and times when I thought it wasn’t working. But a couple of months on I am in such a better place. No pain! I do have a way to go but only wish I had come to the practice sooner instead of struggling on for four years. I would highly recommend Weston Chiropractors as they all provide outstanding patient care and support.
Negative experience: I booked an emergency appointment due to severe neck pain, hoping to get some relief and treatment on the day. Unfortunately, I was given a lengthy explanation about recovery and advised that I would need multiple appointments before seeing any progress. My neck wasn’t actually treated, only my back which I wasn’t even concerned about. I was asked to return the next day for neck treatment which would be an extra cost. I appreciate that treatment can take time, but I was disappointed that I didn’t receive treatment for my neck during what I understood to be an emergency appointment. I also feel the costs and treatment plan could have been explained more clearly from the beginning.
Firstly, we are sorry to hear your experience at our clinic didn't match your expectations.
As it would have been explained to you, the consultation involves a thorough process to establish an accurate diagnosis to provide clarity as to whether chiropractic is appropriate. Only then can recommendations for any subsequent care be made (usually within the next day). It was clear you were, understandably, seeking a swift resolution the same day. This is why you were given a brief description of the problem and the process involved including healing times. This is not normally done until the report of findings, usually the next day. Whilst outlined, it was also make clear to you, given your age, recovery would be more efficient.
When someone is clearly struggling, as you are, we do try to help provide help as soon as possible, which is why care and advice was provided on the same day as the consultation. It was made clear to you that this did not include adjusting your neck until the x-rays taken had been reported on later that day. The last thing any of us would have wanted was for us to hurt you without reviewing the x-ray first.
There appears to be some confusion in that you felt upset that a treatment plan with costing was not explained at the consultation (normally conducted at the report of findings on your second visit), yet you also state you were given a lengthy explanation about recovery and the process involved in that?
It is disappointing you choose to air your views via the internet instead of approaching us directly, as your experience is not representative of the majority of people who continually and have historically used this clinic.

Fantastic experience: Richard is just the best. I was a bit skeptical About chiropractic treatments but actually it's amazing. He's very friendly and tells you everything that is just wrong with your body thru an X ray. My spine was bent hence why he is putting it back into place. Desk sitting all day destroys your body and then poor gym form too. Be careful and see a chiropractor!

Fantastic experience: Richard and all the team are simply amazing! Richard has helped both myself and my son (and other family members) so much. Fantastic experience: After suffering from a period of lower back pain due to my own stupidity, I paid a visit to Richard a chiropractor. I have used Weston Chiropractic quite a few times before. I was in danger of having to cancel a cycling break due to the pain. After one treatment I have woken up the next day Completely pain-free and all symptoms have disappeared. Fantastic experience: I must say, I have been treated by the best chiropractor with the best services any where in the area. The staff are so welcoming when I enter. The chiropractors are amazing, Dr. Harvey is undoubtedly a miracle worker in my eyes. I have suffered with severe headaches for years and has substantially decreased since attending realignment sessions with Dr. Harvey. My pain was eased so much that I cried in happiness after just my first session. The flexibility in sessions is a huge contributing factor and allows me to heal at a real pace without pain. Negative experience: I've suffered with sciatica for a few years and struggled to get answers from the doctors. Went to chiropractor and had an xray claiming I had a vertibrae out of place so proceeded to do weeks of "adjustments" Sciatica didn't improve in the slightest so cancelled going. I went and had an MRI scan in the hospital, there was absolutely nothing wrong with my vertibrae and what I actually have is a low lying tethered spinal cord with a lipoma, which is a birth defect, this is causing the Sciatica and other neurological issues. No amount of "adjustments" would help and xrays wouldn't pick it up. Just think it's not really worth messing with people's backs untill a real diagnosis is made by medical professionals in hospital

Firstly, as a local chiropractic clinic with 50 years’ service, we are disappointed and bemused that your initial option was to voice inaccurate online review. It would have been courteous to raise a concern with us directly.
Keeping to the facts, you presented in March describing a problem of 2 years duration you stated you had injured your back/leg at the gym. Following a case history, physical examination and spinal x-rays, it was clear that you were suffering with back pain and nerve compression with signs of degenerative changes and restriction of surrounding vertebra – a common cause of such symptoms. We follow recommended guidelines for chronic back/ leg pain. MRI scans would be recommended if conservative care has not made an improvement or symptoms change. MRI scans are not recommended on initial investigation unless there are red flags in the history which you did not have.
In discussion with yourself we embarked on a short course of conservative chiropractic care in an effort to reduce symptoms. Unfortunately, and this does happen you were showing no signs of improvement - so at your eighth visit we stopped your care (I recall you agreed with this direction at the time). We wrote to your GP suggesting an MRI scan in an effort to understand reasons for your poor response to care. This letter was sent to your GP early May. It is great that an MRI identified the reason for your problem which is why we referred you out. Yes, no amount of chiropractic care would remove a benign lipoma (which, at 0.2-0.8% of all benign spinal growths, are a rare cause of nerve root compression).
In our opinion you were managed well with the information we had. You might also recall you were not charged for your last visit here. So without our referral letter to your GP you may not have found the answers we were looking for. So in actual fact, rather than complaining about your experience here you should have thanked us for stopping care and referring for a second opinion and should have given the clinic a 5 star review. We notice you also gave your GP practice a 1 star review.

Fantastic experience: Had twice weekly sessions for lower back phase 1. Dr Ben and all the team looked after me. I came in in a lot of pain and fearing that my journey into fitness was over. I was popping pain killers at work to get through the day. Struggling to even get in my car. Then I got stuck in bed at a guest house barely able to move about without great discomfort. The spine, once damage is done can't be undone. I feel I've learned a lot from my time at WESTON Chiropractic. Attended one of Dr Ben's talks also on a Wednesday that was informative. It's helped me to think much more about my spine. Not my posture apparently. Writing this hunched over treadmill in gym. Going to bi weekly sessions need to book. Also had the best massage I think I've ever had by Diane wow. Would recommend. Thanks for giving me the space to recover, looking after me and for the friendly welcome to the area

Fantastic experience: I turned up at the clinic and I couldn’t even do one step without horrendous pain on 12 January after getting no help from hospital or doctors just given strong pain medication, which didn’t kill the pain. Lee started work on me straight away did X-ray located the problem and gave me treatments I needed . 4 weeks on I have managed a 50 minute walk with no problems with my dog, some days I am a bit achy but to be expected as I have to get back to my previous fitness I use to walk up to 2 and a half hours a day and always active . I generally can’t thank Lee enough for getting me back on my feet and most importantly walking . I always feel comfortable and Lee is a lovely man that puts you at ease . Also the reception staff are lovely and helpful . I would definitely recommend anyone to go here if they are in pain .

Fantastic experience: This is the best chiropractic service I have experienced. Fantastic experience: I went to Weston Chiropractic Clinic because I had severe pain in my jaw and neck. I have been to several doctors through NHS but none of them has been able to help me, Richard visited me at the first session and at the second session (free in case I didn't want to continue or if he wasn't able to help me) he explained what he could do for me. After more or less six sessions my pain was almost gone! Richard is a great person and the receptionists are always very kind. I can only recommend them.

Fantastic experience: After having come off my motorcycle, i decided to pop into the clinic as i was experiencing bad back pain, i was seen by a gentleman named richard who seems to run the upstairs part of the clinic, he gave me an initial examination and explained in detailed what had happened to my back and how he was going to help. I have had a course of 12 appointmemts with each one going into thorough detail of what he was doing each time. I can safely say he has helped me greatly and would advise anyone with back pack pain or other pains to pop and see richard, he is a very well knowledged chiropractor who will not only help you but tell how you can avoid pain in the future

This clinic is the most caring and professional team I have ever had treatment from for persistant lower back pain from an old injury. Came in and saw Rich. He has helped get relief in my lower back that no other practitioner has been able to help with. The result, is that I am now back on my bike and playing tennis. Negative experience: Went there, saw chiropractor upstairs, seemed pleasant enough however didnt work for me and I don't like set up. Awful lot of money for this type of set up. One chiropractor dealing with three people at once. In only for about 20 mins max sometimes less but really only getting probably 10 mins of care as your time is shared with others. I work in care industry and never known anything like it. How they don't muddle you up I don't know. Anyway regardless of that. Had 12 sessions, seen three times and then twot times a week...so intensive and ended up no better off. On my review day I was in so much pain and was told these things happen. Also misdiagnosis. Told it was a disc and it's not. When listening to other peoples treatment as you can as you are all together! Basically could hear the same stuff said to all. It is not what I would call person centred. Feels like get as many people in to get money!!! The reason I can say all of this as I have now been to a different chiropractor, seen individually for an hour and after just two sessions, once a week could not believe the difference.... significant difference not just a small improvement and diagnosis completely different...so now being treated for the correct issue. I am continuing to improve and reducing sessions!!! I am leaving this feedback as I don't want others to have the same problems as I did. Left in pain, off sick from work and just under £400 worse off. Very disappointed.
Fantastic experience: Lee has treated me for roughly 20 years. With on-going back, shoulder and neck problems, Lee has always helped me out of tough times. I believe, I wouldn’t still be doing the job that I love (hairdressing) if it wasn’t for Lee!!!!
