She took the time to properly understand what was going on from the outset and gave me clear, sensible guidance when I was in quite a difficult phase with severe leg pain. What I particularly valued was her clinical judgement — she recognised early on that my situation needed careful handling and gave advice that helped move things in the right direction. Her communication is straightforward, reassuring and grounded, which I found very helpful. She’s also been available for advice even when I haven’t been actively in treatment, which made a real difference.

Since my second appointment with her and doing the exercises she sent me I have felt a lot better and stronger. Fantastic experience: Leanne and Lindsay have been essential to my recovery from ACL and MCL ligament reconstruction following a nasty ski injury. Their 20+ yrs experience reassured me I was in the right hands from the get go. They perscribed the right exercises/manipulation at every stage to ensure a full recovery. I am now 5 months post op and my leg extension, range of movement are v near pre accident, my walking is sturdy and I am now just continuing with strength training. I will be forever grateful for their guidance in getting me back to normal and pain free.

Fantastic experience: Leanne @ Distinct Physiotherapy is the one of only two people I trust when it comes to looking after my physical health. Over the years as a personal trainer & more recently a competitive powerlifter my body tends to take a bit of a beating. I have seen lots of therapists in that time but none of them have ever helped me the way Leanne has. Whenever I see Leanne she has a way of accurately identifying problem areas and putting in an effrctive rehab plan that WORKS. I have always felt almost immediate positive impact from the rehab exercises I have been prescribed and completely trust Leannes judgement. I began treatment when I got a hip injury through training. I had a competition booked in about 12 weeks. The injury made it impossible to train, and i couldnt perform a body weight squat without significant pain. The thing that really made me trust Leanne from day one was when I sat down for my consultation.. her first question was "how many weeks do we have untill the competition?" Not.. "Maybe we should think about calling it off" In that 12 weeks we went from a painful bodyweight squat... to a 200kg squat in competition. Since then she has kept an eye on me and continually shown support in my training and what I do. I have 100% confidence in sending my Clients here. And recomending Distinct Physiotherapy to others. Fantastic experience: We are so pleased to have Leanne. My husband fractured his pelvis last year & whilst he is able to walk with a walking stick, we noticed he was leaning on one side. Leanne is giving him exercises & physio treatment and within weeks we have noticed he is walking straighter. She is very professional yet amiable & highly recommend her.

I had Leanne and a NHS Physio during my pregnancy as I had mainly a posterior positioned baby which impacted my hips and back for a significant time of my pregnancy, and I needed to be active as I am already a mother. Leanne is completely another league of a physiotherapist. Leanne took account of my pregnancy, which showed me she has compassion for my wellness. In addition, she gave in depth explanations and exercises that would not impinge on my pregnancy, which highlights the level of knowledge that she has acquired over the years. Fantastic experience: There are so many good things to says about Leanne. She was really responsive when I made initial contact about problems in my wrist. She fitted me in with a telephone consultation despite a full load. She really means when she says she wants to get to the root of a problem, as she is working with my tight shoulders not just my wrist. And she performs magic. Simple exercises and pressing unexpected bits of me that give instant and sustained relief. So much more to say ... I unreservedly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: In the first week after a serious crash Leanne's telephone consultation was a real benefit in setting my mind at ease at a very stressful time. We talked through the injury and addressed the things I can do now which (for whatever reason) hadn't been addressed through the NHS A&E process. The relief I felt through understanding what is going on and having a plan is appreciable and very welcome. The process worked very well, especially using WhatsApp video to show my injuries. I'm a returning customer and the attention and care Leanne gives is second to none. I would thourghouly reccomend Distinct Physiotherapy.

Fantastic experience: I have been through several physios and chiropractors in the past, Leanne at Distinct is the best I've come across. I can only speak from personal experience, but she identified my problems, then took the time to explain them to me and the root causes. I have always been annoyed at the 'repeat custom' feeling that I've been left with in the past, but Leanne genuinely has my recovery and well being at heart. Her aftercare is as good as her treatments. She applies science and knowledge to her treatments with me, this combined with whatever steel her hands are made of, I always come away sore but better off. I'm sure I'm a way off of being fixed yet, but I'm happy to be in her hands and happy to highly recommend her. Happy customer here!

Fantastic experience: I broke my fibula in December. Leanne has got me back on my feet, pain free in record time. She is wise and takes in to account my lifestyle and tailors her therapy around that. With every session I leave feeling amazing. We're currently working by video and it was just as effective. She was able to observe my movement, recommend exercises and correct what I was doing wrong. It's reassuring Leanne is there to help me continue with my recovery.

Fantastic experience: I was searching for a specialist gymnastics physio on Facebook and came across one of distinct Physiotherapys blogs, which clearly showed me that Leanne knew a lot about this kind of work. I was suffering from a painful forearm when I was in a tuck planche position or when doing ring work. Despite being 200 miles away from Leanne, we jumped on a video chat where I demonstrated one of the positions that was causing me pain. Within seconds, Leanne could tell from the video call what my problem was. I was not fully locking out my elbows while doing the move (even though I thought I was!) She gave me some tips on how to rotate the elbow to its proper position while practicing my movements. As soon as I started doing what she told me to, the pain completely disappeared. I was so impressed with: 1. Leanne’s knowledge of complex gymnastics manoeuvres; 2. Her immediate diagnosis of the problem (even over a video consultation!) 3. Her excellent practical advice on how to correct the issue- she even demonstrated some exercises herself over the video call! Leanne is a true professional and I would highly recommend her to anyone. Fantastic experience: I first met Leanne a number of years ago with a slipped disc / prolapsed disc in my neck and thankfully Leanne worked her skill and got me back to full health. Since then Leanne has maintained my body and kept me in good health through everything that life (especially with kids) can throw at you. Leanne is now working on a new programme with me to take me to optimum physical fitness, something which, to be honest, I don’t think my body has reached before!! I would wholeheartedly recommend Leanne.

Fantastic experience: I came to see Leanne 2 years ago . After having had a Disectomony 15 years ago and a Hysterecotomony 5 years ago the body needed some rehab. I had still had awful pains in my left lower abdomin and going down my left side of leg and in my buttocks. Had had a few tests but nothing had come up that there was any problem internally. I was desperate when I saw Leanne. She was so professional and did a complete analysis of my movements all seemed good. Except that I was still in awful pain. She recommended I saw an Rhemertologist. Which I did and he did more nerve tests on me. He discovered I had exposed nerves in my abdomin and suggested I had a cortisone injection. In my abdomin and Femeral nerve which seemed to be the reason for the pain down my left side of leg and buttocks. It all worked and I am out of pain in my abdomin. Still having problems with the femeral nerve and scar tissue on the left side of my abdomin from the hysterecotomony. I see Leanne to help massage that and release the pain. If it hadn't been for Leanne suggesting to see a Rheumatologist I would probably still be in pain. She was the only person I saw who had an alternative solution. And suggested it might be the femeral nerve . I pulled my lower back out the other day and it took 3 treatment sessions from Leanne to get it back to normal. I can't recommend her highly enough. She is so passionate about her work too and really wants to help one get out of pain. Thanks Leanne

Fantastic experience: I am recovering from a long-standing and complex injury which has not been easy or straight forward to treat and rehab. As soon as I met Leanne I was struck by the creativity of her approach , she thinks out of the box. Leanne applies real intellect, knowledge and experience to problem solve. I have used physios prior to finding her for the same injury and did not experience the same success in moving forward with my rehab. In the early stages she supplied me with effective pain management strategies that I could implement at home. I am now working to re-gain strength and stability under her careful supervision. I feel very safe in her hands, more than this she is kind and compassionate and comes incredibly highly recommended by some of the top specialists in London. I am truly thankful I have found her as suddenly what was a difficult recovery journey feels easier.

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Leanne in February 2019 after having a partial knee replacement. Seeing her twice weekly became the highlight of my week, to be honest. Leanne has such an extensive knowledge and insight of the human body and her confidence is so reassuring. Fantastic experience: I booked Leanne for a home physio session with my Mum. Mum had fractured her pelvis and needed gentle advice and an exercise programme to work with. Leanne was just what we needed encouraging without being pushy. My mum now has a plan that is realistic and one that is definitely strengthening the muscles that Mum needs to improve balance.
