I came to him after struggling with unbearable neck and shoulder pain, having already wasted a lot of time and money on various specialists who couldn't help. I’ll be honest: I was at a point where I had stopped trusting written reviews. I felt like you can't truly believe them otherwise I could have already been fixed long ago! I am also under the care of doctors at the RVI, and I recently had an MRI so they can tailor the treatment better (hospital physiotherapy didn’t help whatsoever).The results confirmed EVERYTHING Stewart already KNEW and had told me before the best machines even saw it! After just few sessions with Stewart I’ve finally started to feel that my condition can actually be managed. Equally my hope- as important as body - has also finally returned! Fantastic experience: I went to see Stuart due to nerve sensations down one side of my face, which was quite stressful at the time. From the first appointment he was calm, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what was going on and the likely causes. He suggested a timeframe for improvement, which was accurate, and the issue has thankfully resolved. Knowing exactly what the plan was and what we were working towards was very reassuring, and I noticed improvement after each visit. I couldn’t recommend him enough!!

Fantastic experience: Couldn't rate any higher. Really chilled environment, easy booking system and regular personal confirmation texts before each session. Sound lad, very professional and down to earth. Makes you feel relaxed and at ease every time. Sometimes I feel like hes my therapist cos all I do is offload haha (sorry). Went into this experience with a dodgy hip and no prior experience of chiropractors, walked out with the ability and confidence to recognise when my body is telling me to slow down and now have the knowledge and ability to put things in place to prevent getting back to where I was. Fantastic experience: I have visited several Chiropractors over the years and I can confidently say that Stuart is by far the best. As well as his obvious skill as a Chiropractor what stands him out way above the rest is he takes time to listen to the client about what is going on, asks questions about daily routines etc to see what impact they may have and most importantly does not over treat. Whilst I initially saw him twice a week for a shoulder and neck issue after several months now of then moving to once a week then bi monthly I’m once a month now. A testament to not only his skill at fixing me but also not over treating and over charging! A common theme amongst the other chiropractors I’ve visited! If you have a problem go and see Stuart. He is not only great at his job but a top guy to boot!!!

Fantastic experience: I was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after having my second son in 2023. I had very intensive treatment including surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Although cancer free I’ve been left with a lot of debilitating illnesses such as neuropathy, migraines, fatigue and pain. Which as you can imagine is problematic for a 38 year old with two small children and working as a nursery nurse. After my gp suggested carpel tunnel therapy and increasing my medications- I decided to see a chiropractor. Stu is amazing- he looked at all my medical information and devised a treatment plan. I’ve been going two months and I can honestly say my quality of life has improved vastly, no migraines, better sleep, much less pain and generally much less stressed. Even my surgery scars which gave me many issues like Lymphedema in the breast has improved vastly. I can’t recommend him enough. If you are looking for a chiropractor Stuart’s your guy. Very professional kind and has a lovely treatment room. Honestly I went hoping it would help with my neuropathy (which turned out to be from a slipped disc not carpel tunnel) and it’s helped with way much more ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: What can I say, Stuart is absolutely amazing , I’ve had chronic back pain for over 30yrs, I’ve tried everything over the years but the issues just kept coming back. Not sure why I’ve never been to a chiropractor but boy do I wish I’d gone sooner. I’ve had about 6 sessions with Stuart and most of the problems I had have almost gone, I can feel that he is bit by bit getting my back to how it should be. Fantastic experience: I visited Stuart a few months ago as my tennis elbow had flared up. I also had shoulder issues which has been on and off for years. Start explained what the problem was and was amazing. My first session I actually noticed the difference straight away with my neck as I looked over my shoulder as I was driving and realised i wasn't all stiff. Unbelievable. My shoulder is getting much better too. My father and sister are also seeing Stuart with mobility problems. My father noticed the difference with his neck after the first session. He said it was the first time in years he never woke up the following morning with the pain he normally did. Same goes for my sister. Highly recommended Stuart. Very professional, easy going, explains everything to you and a genuine nice guy. If you've any problems I'd definitely recommend anyone to pay him a visit.

Fantastic experience: I visited Stuart due to a trapped nerve in my neck. I was experiencing pain in my neck, back and arm. I had tried other methods such as massages. During the first consultation with Stuart, he asked me various questions regarding my lifestyle and activity levels, following this he performed a physical assessment. Stuart then explained his findings and what action should be taken. Following a short conversation Stuart made the necessary corrections. Instant relief was felt following the corrections, not completely pain free but a definite relief. I visited Stuart four more times, this has resulted in taking the pain away and vastly improved my posture. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: For years I'd been suffering with persistent lower back pain which would lead to intermittent sciatica. This was caused by an accumulation of doing a physical job for many years with alot of heavy-lifting as well as many hours long distance driving. The pain was having a big impact on my daily life ranging from the slightest mundane tasks at home, driving, or taking part in basic physical sporting activities. During my initial consultation with Stuart he thoroughly examined me and it didn't take him long to identify and explain the exact issue and its location. This was two months ago and since then it didn't take long to begin to feel significant results which improved more and more after every session during my course which has made a massive difference on both my work life and leisure. Throughout the whole experience I was always made to feel very welcome due to Stuart's friendly, sociable, and approachable nature, while of course he always maintained a high degree of professionalism and commitment to my treatment and sharing my satisfaction of my progress. Fantastic experience: Over the last 3 months I have had regular adjustments from Stewart. I was experiencing a lot of upper back tension and rounding of the shoulders, linked to a lot of hours spent at a computer. Stewart practices some strong adjustments but mostly subtle manipulations, which have freed up a lot of the tension. I have noticed better quality sleep, increased energy levels, less pain when turning my head especially when driving and being able to enjoy practicing a dynamic yoga flow again. Very grateful.

He really cares about your progress and tailors your treatment to ensure you have sessions when you need them but also allows you to time to heal and rest. A short illness left me with multiple challenges but Stuart has worked with me to rebuild muscle strength and realign my twisted skeleton. He has also advised on what I can do outside the sessions to support my healing e.g exercises etc. A friend recommended that I see Stuart as he'd worked wonders with them and I was in a lot of pain. Fantastic experience: I went to see Stuart as I’d been struggling with a number of issues since a traffic accident 6 years ago. I had suffering from digestive issues that was having a really negative impact on me every day. I had also struggled with running since the accident as my body felt unaligned and I felt lethargic. During the first session Stuart quickly identified areas that he felt he could work on and improve both issues. He’s very knowledgable and understanding, and also gave me tips on some things I could do outside of appointments to improve things too. Within a few months I’d seen huge improvements in both issues. My issues have improved a lot, and brought about feeling happier, sleeping better and having more energy. Likewise, now that my body feels aligned, my running has improved to what it was pre-accident. I’d highly recommend Stuart for his friendly approach and outstanding knowledge. I’d previously chosen not to visit a chiropractor because I was worried that it’d be expensive… but Stuart’s approach means that he tries to get you to a place where your body doesn’t need frequent adjustments so you have less frequent appointments as your body gets used to the changes. Can’t recommend Stuart highly enough!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had knee problems for almost my whole life. Years of wearing orthotics and going through multiple rounds of physio, but nothing ever really helped. Eventually, I just gave up and accepted the pain as normal even though I was so young. It wasn’t until my neck started to cause me issues and began to experience these debilitating headaches that I decided to try something different and looked into chiropractic treatment. I honestly can’t recommend Stuart enough he is very knowledgeable and made me feel very at ease throughout. Fantastic experience: Having been to see my GP with quite severe back and neck pain, and being told to keep exercising and stretching, I decided to pay a visit to Stuart McCarthy Chiropractic. I am so glad I did. Following an initial assessment and evaluation, Stuart pointed out several misaligned areas in my spine that had caused muscle imbalances and led to most of my pain. Stuart took the time to explain how my spine and muscles interact with each other, and set to work straight away on correcting my misaligned spine and my posture and other issues. After just a couple of sessions I was amazed at the difference Stuart made. During my course of treatment, my pain has gone and my posture has improved greatly. Fantastic experience: I came to Stu with agonising back pain, (I was only comfortable when on all fours on the living room floor!) Within 3 weeks the bulk of the pain was gone. By 4 weeks there was no pain at all. Now I’m working through a short pre-agreed number of sessions with him to keep everything where it is and to get stronger so it doesn’t happen again. Stuart is friendly, kind, and bloody good at what he does. I still don’t fully understand how the magic of Chairopractic works, but I have been converted! Stu was also clear and transparent with the number of sessions I’d need, which we agreed to in advance. It never felt like I’d be stuck going to the chiropractor every week. Fantastic experience: For years and years (around 15 years) I have suffered with excruciating back pain as a result of two small disc prolapses. I have seen so many doctors around the world and physiotherapists to try and help control and manage my pain who unfortunately were not able to help me. I then found Stuart and thought I’d give it ago, this was my last resort and my only regret is I never found him sooner. He has been marvellous in helping manage and control my chronic pain. I am now at a stage where I can do the things I want to do without being frightened of causing more injury or pain. I have minimal pain in my life and finally I’m starting to enjoy my life! If I could give more than 5 star I would!

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend Stuart enough! I first visited Stuart in August with horrendous neck and back pain. On my initial assessment, Stuart went through step by step each problem and what it could be caused by thoroughly. He advised how many sessions I would need and what to expect at each session, with guidance on extra things I could be doing outside to help. Fantastic experience: After a sudden and debilitating back problem, I was left almost immobile and in a lot of pain. While calling around to get a chiropractic appointment, Stuart was recommended to me from another chiropractor who didn’t have time to see me at short notice. Stuart was able to arrange an appointment the same day if I needed it As soon as I met Stuart I could tell from his professional and caring nature that I was in good hands. Fantastic experience: As a complete 'newbie' to the world of chiropractor sessions I had no idea what to expect when I walked into Stuart's practice and felt a little nervous about what a session entailed... however, a warm greeting followed by an in-depth discussion about some of the niggles I had calmed those nerves pretty quickly. Great customer service throughout, a surreal feeling during each of the movements to crack the joints, and a pain-free rehab... I can't recommend Stu's professionalism enough.
