Fantastic experience: I've just had my 3rd session with Alistair and the difference in my shoulder is literally night and day. Alistair has been great, listened in detail to my shoulder issues and targeted his treatment accordingly. I've seen huge progress over the last 6 weeks and all the exercises and stretches Alistair's recommend have been a massive help in my day to day improvement. I would 100% seeing him if you need a physio in the Nottingham area.

Fantastic experience: Had first session with Alistair today to support my recovery from total knee replacement surgery and he was brilliant. He was alexactly what I needed to provide motivation to support my recovery with clear guidance for the trearments and moves to focus on to support my recovery. Alistair also focused on a number of massage techniques to help my knee muscles and tendons to recover. I left feeling so much better, a clear sense of what to focus on - can't wait for my next session! Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have recently had some physio with Alistair to help manage musculosketal pain and stiffness. At my first consultation Alistair took plenty of time to understand my symptoms and how they affected me. In follow up sessions Alistair focussed on my knees, hips and back, which has really helped to reduce the stiffness I was experiencing. Throughout the sessions Alistair also offered advice, including exercise, stretches and self massage. Alistair's approach is very positive and encouraging. He has reassured me that I am taking the right steps to actively manage my joints - especially my knees which are affected by oesteoarthritis. After my physio session my joints feel happier and I leave armed with some top tips for self management. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I have seen Alistair on a couple of different occasions for my lower back. He offered me a short notice appointment, getting me diagnosed and starting treatment quickly and very effectively. He is knowledgeable and has a warm, encouraging manner. Really reasonable cost, especially when you consider that he fixed me up after only a couple of sessions. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Been to a lot of physiotherapists over the years, but even based on one session definitely one of if not the best I've been to. Straightforward assessment of what I'm experiencing, hands on treatment providing instant relief, clear explanation of what the problem seems to be and how to resolve it, with realistic timeframe to expect improvement. Didn't try and just get me booked for another appointment for the sake of it (every private person I've been to has done this) identified that I may be able to get better based on the one session and just said to get back in touch if I needed more help. Great service and will be in touch again for any future physiotherapy needs

Fantastic experience: Another trip to see Alistair to sort out a few long-standing, niggling issues, including a frozen shoulder and tennis elbow. Alistair diagnosed and explained each of the problems and provided re-assurance that all of them could be sorted. Treatment made a noticeable difference straight away and he provided me with a long list of exercises to take away, so down to me to build on his good work!

Fantastic experience: I am so pleased with the treatment that Alistair has provided over the course of the past 6 weeks. I visited Alistair with back pain that had been bothering me for the past 6 months. In the first session Alistair was able to diagnose the issue during an informal Q & A and our first treatment. Alistair gave me basic, non-time consuming stretches that I have done in conjunction with the subsequent 3 x treatments. I am now pain free and so grateful that I used the services of Nottingham Physiotherapy Services. Alistair operates in a safe, clean environment and immediately put me at ease. Fantastic experience: Alistair has helped me with a number of injuries over the past few years. He's also been excellent - professional, yet personable and friendly. He also isn't like NHS physios who won't get their hands dirty and prescribe a long list of exercises that they know you'll never do - Alistair is able to give pragmatic suggestions and isn't afraid to get involved with his thumbs where necessary!

Fantastic experience: I am an intensive care nurse and i went off sick cause of a back problem that began to affect my mobility(im normally very active). I contacted Alistair and got an appointment with him thr next day. He was able to diagnosis and reassure me very quickly that its not a long term thing. He was very knowledgeable and was able to explain to me what what my pain is and how I can fix it. I have been seen him.regularly for the pastt six weeks where we have discussed exercises and stretches as well as him doing physical manipulation. I've definitely noticed the difference seeing Alistair and getting his guidance through this process. I should hopefully be returning to work soon couldn't recommend Alistair enough for his professionalism and high quality care.

Fantastic experience: I booked an appointment with Alistair a couple of weeks ago because of my ongoing knee pain. He was very professional and knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed my problem, he treated the problem and gave me advice on how to take care of the problem myself. The result is that my knee is very much improved and I'm back up to speed. I would have no hesitation in recommending this service.

Fantastic experience: My 88 year old dad had been suffering badly from pain from his hip to his ankle for a few weeks and was taking increasing doses of painkillers. After reading reviews, we saw Alistair who made my dad at ease from the very first visit. He is very professional and seemed to get to the root of the problem straight away. He gave my dad deep massage treatments which greatly helped, & lots of advice and exercises to do at home. With each visit, there were improvements. Fantastic experience: Alistair saw our sports mad, teenage daughter at short notice on Saturday morning when she was experiencing back pain. He quickly identified the root cause of the problem and used massage and exercise techniques to alleviate the pain. He was able to reassure us that she was safe to continue with her activities over the same weekend. The exercises Alistair has given us should mean that she will not need to revisit. Fantastic experience: Saw Alistair for suspected tennis elbow. He confirmed this and gave me treatment, advice, techniques to use myself and gave me a link for a proper support to use. Everything he said re my recovery was spot on, he's experienced and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Alistair was recommended to me by a relative. He has lived up to and exceeded that recommendation. Alistair treated me for sciatica which was incredibly painful. He gave me a set of exercises to do which proved extremely beneficial to my recovery. Alistair holds very high professional standards. He always made me feel at ease. Fantastic experience: Following a fall several months ago onto a tiled floor my G.P said I should have physiotherapy to try to repair soft tissue damage. Two weeks ago I went to see Alistair and after 3 visits the improvement is almost incredible. I cannot speak too highly of my treatment and I now intend to consult Alistair on another, unrelated matter.

Fantastic experience: After being discharged by my NHS physio following a motorbike accident, I felt I really hadn't improved very much and went to see Alistair on the recommendation of my wife. Alistair understood my frustrations and has helped immensely over recent months; I have much more mobility in my shoulder and am now able to work full-time again pain-free. Alistair's guidance and 'hands on' approach has been invaluable in getting me fit again and I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Fantastic experience: I saw Alistair after my hydro-dilation intervention procedure for my Frozen shoulder. He is very knowledgeable and professional. Although it was a last minute appointment but due to my intensity of pain, he started work early, to fit my session. He is very caring and spends a lot of time on each session for exercises. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Nottingham Physiotherapy Services by BUPA a year after surgery as i was not progressing as expected. After seeing Alistair for about 13 sessions I am in a far better place, now able to run again which makes me very happy. The environment is relaxing and professional and Alistair has great interpersonal skills not only focusing on the hands on physio but also sharing ample advice and tips. Fantastic experience: I visited Alistair after injuring my knee. I wasn't sure how I'd hurt it or what I had done but from start to finish Alistair provided a fantastic service. Fantastic experience: Having had muscle pain in the mid and lower back for way over 5 months, and despite 4 lots of osteopathy, Al gave me a huge massage which was very sore a couple of days later(!), some exercises to do and advice and one week later, it's pretty much back to normal!! I thought I was stuck with this forever but I'm back at the gym!! Can't say how pleased I am! Al came across as very caring and reassuring and actually seemed interested, whereas some people aren't. I'd definitely recommend a visit and I'd certainly go back if it happens again! Appointment was made super quick too!

Fantastic experience: I had no experience of physiotherapy and didn't know what to expect on my first visit. Alastair was very friendly and welcoming and instantly made me feel at ease. I am a regular runner but had to stop due to constant pains in my shins/calves. Alastair quickly identified the problems I was having and after my first session I walked out relatively pain free for the first time in a while. Alastair has continued to work on these problem areas and I'm pleased to say that I am now back up and running and now training for my first half marathon thanks to his swift intervention!

Fantastic experience: I’d been struggling with pain in my left foot for a fair few weeks and the consultant at the hospital, nor health insurance physio were able to make any noticeable improvements with their treatment. I found Alistair at Nottingham Physiotherapy Services on Google search and within a few sessions I was able to get back to light cardio activity, now I’ve completed my 5th and final session I’m happy to say I’m back to full cardio activity.

Fantastic experience: Since looking to pursue a career in Physiotherapy, I was given the opportunity by Kim to do some work experience with Alistair. From the start he has made my experience very intellectually stimulating and was open to any questions I had. I was able to observe a wide range of people and different conditions and it was great to see how Alistair approaches each case differently. He is very amicable, however very professional at the same time. Alistair is very passionate about what he does and what I will take away from my work experience is the fact that Alistair encourages his clients to understand the reasoning behind their condition. He is very knowledgeable and thoroughly explains the mechanisms for each condition to his clients. It was great to see how many people understood more about their conditions after visiting Alistair and the primary reasons behind their treatment and recovery plans. It has been a fantastic experience shadowing Alistair as I have come away with great knowledge and experiences that will benefit my future career in Physiotherapy. He has a very hands on approach which I think was both beneficial to my learning and the progress for each person. Fantastic experience: After contacting Kim and Alistair about my ambition to study physiotherapy at university in the future, I got a swift reply and was able to spend this morning shadowing Alistair with some of his clients. After meeting a variety of people and observing many different problems and how Alistair pieces together the cause of the pain and future treatment plans, it has really inspired me more to pursue my interest in physiotherapy. I cannot thank Alistair and Kim enough for firstly giving me this opportunity, and also Alistair's warm and friendly manner made me feel at ease straight away. He explained what he was doing and why he was doing it, not just for my benefit but for the patient in order for them to understand their bodies and how best to recover. Fantastic experience: I recently took up cycling with the aim of competing in a 50 mile challenge. 3 weeks before it I started getting bad headaches and constant soreness in my neck and shoulders, making riding my bike impossible. Alastair helped me to find the route of the problem, which wasn't isolated to the cycling, and gave me lots of useful advice which helped me to overcome my issues in time to complete the challenge without being in any pain. With the information and guidance he's given me, I'm hopeful I won't have this issue again. He's knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful - highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Made an appointment with Alistair after an acute back muscle strain had flaired up and was affecting my work capacity. In my first appointment the issue was identified and addressed immediately with a comprehensive treatment that resulted in almost instant relief, allowing me to get straight back to strenuous activity. I chose to have a subsequent follow-up session just to make sure and feel confident that a painful and awkward problem was solved! All I can say is I wish I'd made the appointment sooner and can't recommend Alistair enough!
