Negative experience: There is a certain person here who is very adept at incorrect record-keeping. Please always ask for a copy of what has actually been recorded in your notes at each visit. You need proof of examination findings, what treatment is to be given and what it is for, as well as a record of consent. One day you may need it, and you may find that your consent was recorded as given even though you did not give it. Do not assume that the truth of each visit will be written down. If you are injured by treatment there, please do not agree to them giving you any free treatment to try to help the injury received there. They may use these appointments to gather any innocent comments made and twist them to suit their narrative. Disgraceful! Make sure you use email to contact them if something is done that injures you. Please keep a paper trail. Do not rely on telephone calls to state what happened to you, as this is not logged and may be denied

Fantastic experience: I booked in an ingrown toenail surgery with Laura at the clinic, from start to finish everything was fantastic. Receptionists were lovely, and booked me in quickly. Laura was professional and personable, ran me through everything, and quickly and effectively treated my toe.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this practice. I have been helped for various joint and muscle problems over 30 years. I would not go anywhere else.

Negative experience: Used this practice for 4 years and only got small changes to a long term problem. Went elsewhere to a specialist in Jan 25 and was fixed within 11 months. Maybe don’t keep a patient on the books if you know you can’t help as I will never forgive you for that !

Fantastic experience: I came here following a road traffic accident suffering as a pedestrian on the road. I wanted to commence treatment as soon as possible and decided that Osteopathy was the way forward for me. I had Emily as my Osteo and together we put in place an intensive recovery plan. And very quickly I've found myself being able to return to full mobility which is remarkable given the circumstances of my injuries! I cannot recommend Emily enough. She's always very friendly, supportive and knows her stuff very well! I truly believe if it wasn't for her expertise, I wouldn't have made the recovery I have as quickly as I have.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment for minor surgery to correct two ingrowing toenails. I was seen by Laura, who was friendly, calming and very professional. The procedures were carried out very efficiently and she explained each step of what she was doing. I can't praise Laura highly enough...outstanding!

Negative experience: Came highly recommended, but the therapist I saw did nothing more than a cursory once over, & sent me home without treatment. I had to go find a professional who not only identified the problem, but was able to draw up a treatment plan for me. Should have realized it was a red flag when he was the only one with free slots for days

Fantastic experience: Robert lovewell, the no nonsense talking back specialist and expert in his field. A quick insight into my back problems which went on for nine months. I’d seen osteopaths, chiropractors, sports massage, and yes my general practitioner who informed me I had a pulled muscle. Nine months I’d paid over £3,500 being promised I was just about to be cured and no more than ten minutes in the chiropractors bench at £40 a time and still agony, none of these procedures were carried out at Gilmore piper. and none of these worked. I bit the bullet and made an appointment with Robert who in a straight talking way said, nothing we can do without a MRI scan, yes it was expensive however it identified my problem as herniated discs straight away, and I was booked into Nuffield hospital where I was given a nerve block procedure. Pain free procedure which took around one hour. I am two years down the line, just played my second round of golf in three days, carrying my own bag and absolutely no problem at all. If you have a problem with your health don’t cut corners, best money I’ve spent. Thank you again Robert.

Fantastic experience: I visited Laura today and she worked her magic on my netball toes! I was so scared before the procedure, but she totally put my mind at ease and made sure I was comfortable throughout.. The results are yet to be seen, however I watched while she treated me and the neatness was unreal! I expected to walk away with no nail, but she advised that she could treat the area better than my expectations and by looking at it, you wouldn’t even know it had been done! Cannot recommend her enough, thanks Laura for making my experience with you guys as positive as it could have been! If I could give you 10 stars I would! Would highly recommend laura, and the whole practice- all the staff I met today were friendly and welcoming, and it just had a generally homely and pleasant feel about the place.

Fantastic experience: Saw Alison Wareham one of the Podiatrists for the first time, absolutely fantastic I learnt so much not only about my foot problem but my running trainers. It was extremely insightful and interesting. POA was put in place for me moving forward, I left feeling very positive and happy. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to back to Gilmour Piper.

Negative experience: I was charged £55 for 30 min and it didn't solve or improve the pain I had. The osteopath was very nice but in my opinion for that price its lacking time in the session and interest to solve the issue by applying different techniques.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best!! I had a back injury that was extremely painful. It is now possible to function again. Also, a badly damaged toe. Again, all fixed. They are miracle workers.

Fantastic experience: I had injured my foot so made an appointment to see Allison, the Podiatrist there. I had Plantar Fasciitis and was in considerable pain. Once Allison had shown me some simple exercises, strapped my foot up and removed the insoles of my trainers and replaced with my insoles, I was a lot happier. I did require orthopedic insoles a few weeks later but she didn't recommend me buying those until it became apparent that my self bought ones weren't good enough. I would definitely recommend Gilmour Piper as their reception team are very professional and friendly as well.

Fantastic experience: I went after having a really bad experience with another osteo. I had a slipped disc and couldn't really walk. I was in absolute agony. As dramatic as it sounds they did fix my back. I had about 4 sessions and I am now without pain. I would definately recommend them.

Negative experience: I saw a very helpful chiropodist about a verruca. Although the treatment was dealt with professionally I was very disappointed about what was included for the price, just a scrape and salicylic acid with a dressing that fell off before I got home. The reception staff also gave me the wrong appointment times twice, very frustrating. I was not asked to confirm my data protection preferences or to check if the data they hold on me is correct despite not having visited for a couple of years. I have trusted Gilmore Piper a great deal in the past I found this visit very expensive and Very disappointing.

Gilmour Piper were really friendly and helpful throughout and Mark was very easy to get on with and knowledgeable - he knew exactly how to ease my symptoms and helped me manage/recover from my injury in order to complete my run. Will definitely be returning for any physio/osteopathy needs.

Negative experience: The receptionist here nearly had me in tears on the way in and again on the way out. I won't bore you with the details but she's clearly a bully and it's put me off going back. I should add that the service from the Chiropodists that I've seen here, (Julie & Alison) has been 5 star. The Chiropodists are lovely & my feet feel amazing - so not all bad.

I have visited them for many years for long term chronic back and nerve pain and the last few years I've been seeing osteopath Joe Rudland and physiotherapist Jane Rapkin. I can't praise them enough for all the care and assistance they have given me over the years, before and after my back operation 7 years ago. I had private health care and each step of the way they were there. Very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and understanding. The receptionists are really friendly and helpful and there's tea and coffee on the house too!! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I've suffered with on-going back pain for years due to a slight scoliosis, but more recently severe lower back pain had made most gym work virtually impossible, sitting at my desk caused a great amount of discomfort and the pain would wake me during the night. I booked an osteopathy appointment with Hayley and haven't looked back since. She completely understood and diagnosed my problem straight away and prescribed acupuncture and joint sessions with herself and physiotherapist Jane. Thanks to massage, movement and acupuncture from Hayley, and acupuncture and exercises prescribed by Jane I cannot believe the difference just a few months on. I now feel virtually no pain, even in the gym and my whole body is much stronger, I'm able to do far more than ever before, and they are both so happy with my progress that I now don't need any further sessions. I never believed I would get to this point, but Hayley and Jane have been absolutely amazing and I cannot thank them enough - they are both genuinely lovely people too! Gilmour Piper as a whole is a lovely, friendly, welcoming environment and I cannot recommend them, and Hayley and Jane specifically, highly enough. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Visited Jane Rapkin with on-going shoulder, neck pain and headaches. She advised 4 - 5 sessions of weekly acupuncture. Her prognosis was spot on and she was so caring and knowledgable on this area giving advice on dealing with the pain on a day-to-day basis. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to Jane Rapkin if you have Shoulder & Neck pain.

Fantastic experience: I have been treated by James Zarro for several years, primarily for a neck/back problem but have visited with other ailments on occasions. I have always been extremely satisfied with the treatment I have received and found all members of staff to be professional and courteous. Fantastic experience: As a highly experienced and specialist Pilates teacher I can hand on heart recommend Mark Newman as an excellent Physiotherapist. His manner is professional, friendly and he aims to explore every avenue possible to best assess the needs of each and every patient to aid their road to recovery. His wealth of knowledge and ability to read and assess the muscular and skeletal system enables clear diagnosis and a clear plan of action to help the individual needs of each patient. We are very privileged to have him working in Suffolk. Judith Shelley the practice Acupunturist is also a credit to the Gilmour Piper team. Having worked closely with her during my pregnancy I would urge all pregnant ladies to enjoy this deeply relaxing treatment which cured my sickness which until visiting Judith had lasted 8 months - 24/ 7.

Fantastic experience: Being a keen sportsman of advancing years, I've visited Gilmour Piper on numerous occasions over the past six years to receive treatment for a variety of injuries. I've received treatment for severe acute back pain, neck problems, sciatica and "joggers knee". I have been treated by almost all the practitioners, but mainly Mark Piper, Mark Newman, Mark Rapkin and James Zaro. I have always found the treatment to be absolutely first class, which is why I continue to return whenever I manage to injure myself. I have no hesitation in recommending Gilmour Piper to anyone who is seeking the best treatment available.

Negative experience: was going to make an appointment to book Mark Piper having been referred by a friend. Googled him only to have a story come up about Piper being suspended for four months for inappropriate sexual misconduct with a patient. hmmm, avoid.

Fantastic experience: In relation to a lower disc problem, I have been receiving treatment from Mark Newman at Gilmour Piper. The treatment and advice given is very impressive. Mark is absolutely delightful and I'm amazed by his knowledge; he's like a walking encyclopaedia :-) This, along with his enthusiasm, instills me with confidence that he is passionate about physiotherapy and knows the best ways to assist with recovery. All the reception staff at Gilmour Piper are truly welcoming and polite. Plus, they make every effort to ensure you can book an appointment which is convenient and, should you need it, as soon as possible.
