Fantastic experience: Central Oxford Osteopathy was recommended to when I was suffering an acute lower back injury. Jamie was fantastic - he took time to understand the cause, and after a few weeks of treatment and guidance on accompanying rehab exercises, I am confident to go back to my usual activities including strength training. I also have some advice on general exercises for injury prevention in the future. Highly recommend this clinic!

Fantastic experience: I first visited Central Oxford Osteopathy to see Jamie for some back issues related to work, this was some years back. But I returned a few weeks ago following a car accident that left me dealing with pain between my shoulder blades and my neck - I suspect it was whiplash. On both occasions, I’ve had a really positive experience. Jamie has been incredibly supportive in helping me get back to where I need to be following the car crash, the first appointment was great at proving relief, but in just 3 appointments I am so close to being back to normal. The sessions use hands-on treatment that always feel calm, steady, and reassuring. I’m always made to feel comfortable, with clear explanations so I understand what’s happening throughout. I was also given exercises to do at home which have also made a difference in supporting my recovery between sessions. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Central Oxford Osteopathy to others — a professional, effective, and caring service. I did my research before my first appointment several years ago and I am pleased with the decision I made. Central Oxford Osteopathy are great.

Fantastic experience: A few years ago, I had awful hip pain from sleeping on a hard mattress. It was so bad I could barely put weight on my leg. I went to Jamie for help, and more recently, I saw him again for an upper back strain. Both times, Jamie was able to pinpoint the issue, and after just a few sessions and some helpful stretches (which I still do), the pain was gone!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to the clinic for around 9 months to address ongoing neck and shoulder issues. I’ve had pain in my neck for as long as I can remember, but the pain had started to fluctuate in an out to the point where it was giving me tension headaches and I couldn’t turn my neck properly. I originally saw Jamie, who was great. But I’ve been working with Ladina for the past 3-4 months since she joined the practice. She is FANTASTIC. She is somehow able to diagnose what is going on (and subtle variations from week to week), regardless of how vague my descriptions of the pain are. She never makes me feel rushed, and I feel like she really takes the time to listen and consider the best treatment for that day. As she works, she does a great job explaining what she is doing and how it will help. I always leave the clinic both feeling better and with a clear plan of what I can do at home to help in the long-term. I cannot recommend Central Oxford Osteopath and Ladina, specifically, enough for anyone dealing with musculoskeletal pain.

Fantastic experience: I have a better understanding of the spine and how muscle reacts to protect. The clinic is located next to a car park in a public park and swimming area, with ♿ parking. Muscle manipulation and retraining of muscle memory has assisted circulation and pain management. You can feel immediate change. I would strongly recommend this treatment and friendly Osteopath trained professionals.

Fantastic experience: I was involved in a nasty bike accident over a year ago where my upper arm was fractured. After the immobility for the fracture to heal, the pain and stiffness were off the scale! Jamie used soft-tissue massage, mobilised my joints and gave me rehab exercises to reduce my pain and restore the movement in my arm. I was always treated with kindness and compassion. I am glad to say that a year on from my accident I’m now 90% better, and back to doing the things I love like yoga, gardening and of course cycling. I would definitely recommend Jamie and his team.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Jamie Dearing at Central Oxford Osteopathy following a car accident in December 2022. Since then, I’d had severe stiffness and pain in my neck and right shoulder, both conditions causing daily discomfort, affecting my ability to drive and making life miserable in general. I had 8 treatment sessions with Jamie and the change has been significant… and for the better! A combination of massage, stretching and tailored exercises at home have made a world of difference. Fantastic experience: As a keen gym goer, lifting weights regularly, I developed a shoulder issue in early 2024, where I was in significant discomfort when undertaking any movement. I booked a session with Jamie (whom I had visited before with other niggles) and soon set on a course of recovery. Initially meeting every two or three weeks, Jamie massaged and manipulated my shoulder joint to address the problem, whilst also teaching me a series of stretches to undertake at regular intervals between each session. He also gave me tips and advice on how to continue weight training but in ways that would protect me from exacerbating my injury. Jamie was always very careful with his treatment (checking if anything he did caused unnecessary pain) but also very thorough, working the joint firmly to address the issue (which was essentially a rotator cuff injury). As my recovery progressed, we continued to meet, albeit with bigger gaps between sessions. I had my most recent session with Jamie in August 2024, and since then have found that the level of discomfort in my shoulder is now negligible, I am able to lift the weight I was lifting before the injury and everything feels stronger. Through Jamie's treatment, I have also learned how to best protect myself from repeating this injury - the stretching regime has been particularly useful in this regard. I highly recommend Jamie's services for people with similar or related injuries. It is also worth noting that University staff receive a discount!

Fantastic experience: I had right neck and shoulder pain and restricted movement due to a car crash. After nearly a year I can now move my arm easily and my pain has gone. Jamie is really good, calm, professional and explains everything so I could easily understand. Honestly I feel great now and will be forever grateful as my neck pain has gone and my arm has no restrictions. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have had four sessions with Jamie over the past few weeks and I feel much better. I struggled with lower back pain for a number of years but it's been hard to deal with because it's a deep muscle problem. Fantastic experience: Really rate Jamie - always fixes my back problems, so much so that they've pretty much gone away. Also gives excellent recommendations for fixes and is always interesting to chat too. Price is not bad either - around £45, and has a working card machine. Makes a refreshing change from either mad scientists or Osteos who don't seem to care.

Fantastic experience: I have had three appointments with Jenny Fletcher. The first one was held remotely, over Zoom, the other two took place at the clinic. Jenny is an outstanding professional. After carefully examining me and asking me various questions, she explained to me what was causing my back and neck pain and immediately told me what sort of exercises I ought to be doing, and how regularly. She was able to relieve my pain and to give me excellent, holistic advice on managing my hyper mobility and preventing injury. Her knowledge and understanding of the way the body works are impressive and reassuring. Fantastic experience: My time with Central Oxford Osteopathy, my first Osteopathic experience, couldn't have been better. After injuring my back over the weekend painting up a ladder I was unable to move or sit up with the pain worsening. I called the practice Monday morning and was seen 12:45 that afternoon, only just able to drive to the appointment. The first session provided instance relief, with a second scheduled Thursday and a final a week later. To begin Jamie clearly explained the problem, a badly torn muscle, and then the different treatments used throughout before finally the exercises to continue with once finished. Great from the start, I can't recommend Jamies and the Central Oxford Osteopathy higher to anyone suffering similarly!

Fantastic experience: I do a lot of intensive computer work and started visiting Central Oxford Osteopathy after experiencing some numbness and tingling in my right arm. Jamie was able to quickly locate the source of my strain and prescribed exercises that specifically target the source of my tension. This has dramatically improved my symptoms and I've been able to resume normal work.

Fantastic experience: I gave birth 7 weeks ago and suddenly suffered from severe back pain (probably due to breastfeeding). The doctor I went to see only told me to take pain killers so I decided to go and see Jamie. I had never been to an osteopathy before but I really urgently needed help, now in the Corona lockdown time. After a detailed assessment I had three treatments over 2 weeks and I don't have any pain any more. I am so thankful for the treatment and the received exercises which hopefully prevent from experiencing such pain again. I thought Jamie also handled the Covid 19 situation very well and I felt very safe with all safety measures in place (hand sanitizer when you enter and leave the practice, wearing of masks, bringing own towel, etc.).

Fantastic experience: Simply amazing - wished I had scheduled sooner. I suffered a shoulder injury that caused a severe continuous sharp pain along the back of my right shoulder, along with pain throughout my right arm. I waited several weeks to see if it would self heal before scheduling an appointment with Jamie. Fantastic experience: On Thursday I couldn't move due to muscle spasms in my back. Jamie fit me in for a session on Friday and worked his magic on my back. After the appointment, I was standing straighter, and by Saturday I was walking around without groaning! I had a 10k to run on Sunday and none of us were sure I would make it but, thanks to Jamie's help, I did run it and now it's just my poor thighs that are hurting from me not being fit enough! Fantastic experience: The amazing Ebony has transformed my life. In just 3 sessions I've seen a significant decrease in my pain levels. I have an incurable and progressive connective tissue disorder so I'll never be 'better' but Ebony has made a big difference- my migraines are much less intense, I'm having less overall muscle pain, and although I haven't had any reduction in my dislocations, I have more energy. I'm still not operating at what I'd call 100% but it's an improvement and that's AMAZING for someone with my laundry list of disorders.

Negative experience: I have been 3 times to this osteopath. Twice I was treated by Rupert, who helped and gave good treatment. But more recently I was treated for neck pain by another practitioner called Cliff, but ended up 2 days later in A&E with excruciating nerve pain in my shoulder, so won't be going again.

Fantastic experience: I went to Jamie with a completely blocked neck. My head literally bended to the right side and not able to move it. Something that had happened several times before and doctors had suggested rest, pain killers, etc. After the first treatment my neck had recovered 80% of mobility. We had a few treatments in the following couple of weeks to reach complete recovery and I am now going there every couple of months to keep it under control. I have had no more issues in over a years time. Jamie is very professional and knows what he is doing. Totally recommended!
