Fantastic experience: I have been treated twice by Cara who has adjusted me to help with my shoulder pain and back pain. Her treatment massively helped ease my pain, boost my mobility and posture. Fantastic experience: I've had scoliosis since I was a child, and it's gotten worse over time. I get back pain from walking for 10 minutes, working, or even playing sports—all that and more. Fantastic experience: My experience with Cara has been brilliant. I first visited her a few months ago for an old consistent issue with my lower back. Since going, my posture is so much better…i feel different in how I stand, sit and just generally being…more upright, present and feeling more in flow. It’s an amazing process with the ABC, where, as Cara does her work, I have felt old, stuck tightnesses, aches and pains arise…and then move and release. It feels like this process really goes deep into the root causes of any physical issues which in my case are years old and then helps release them…slowly returning my body and mind to a more natural, freer state. Cara has such a great approach, really listening and taking care with everything she does..working methodically and intuitively…which is what I feel allows the process to work so well. Fantastic experience: I would like to share my recent experience of visiting Cara at The Backstory. I had alot of pain in one of my knees to the point that I couldn't bend it properly. Cara said my knee was 'locked' and did some manipulation to the muscles around my knee. I walked out of her room pain free and my knee was bending properly again, it felt a bit 'jelly like' and I had full movement in it. I hadn't noticed how bad it had got as I guess I had just got used to it and compensated for example going up and down the stairs in my home with a straight leg and holding onto the banister to walking normally again. I have lived with debilitating sciatica and upper back nerve pain for around 5 years, and I have tried a number of methods to sort this. I have been attending weekly appointments for around 4 months, with some exercise added in and my nerve pain has disappeared. I had significant posture issues, including a hunched back, and a pronated neck and hips, and stood with hyperextended knees at all times. Throughout this time, my body has transformed and I now stand upright, without pain, and my hyperextension is reversing. I have experienced a number of different chiropractic care methodologies, and Cara's application of the ABC method yields significant results. Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Cara monthly since the beginning of the year having scoliosis, forward head posture and regular aura migraines. Despite exercising regularly and being quite fit, my spine was stiff and forward head posture was not improving. I am so grateful to Cara for how she has improved my spine. Fantastic experience: I had previously seen chiropractors for years and been stuck in a cycle of appointments every 6 weeks to treat my lower back pain. This became unsustainable financially and was only relieving the pain temporarily rather than providing a long term solution. I was resigned to living with low level back pain for the foreseeable future and ‘getting on with things’ when I saw an advert for the Backstory with an offer of a free posture analysis. After looking at the website information about the clinic I decided to make an appointment. I was quite surprised by the poor posture that I displayed. Dr. Cara clearly explained the approach that she takes and the options of pay-per-visit appointments and packages of sessions which are more economical than pay-per-vist. At no time did I feel pressured to sign up for a package or even to make a follow up appointment. After a few weeks I decided to make an appointment for a consultation where Dr. Cara took a full history and completed a physical assessment. She was confident she could resolve my issues that have developed over years from accidents and previous injury. Again there was absolutely no pressure to make any further appointments. I decided to bite the bullet and sign up for the most comprehensive package and I am so glad that I did. When I finished I was pain free. I was curious (and slightly sceptical) to see if this would continue and if my posture would hold up until a follow up appointment after 6 months. I did need a slight adjustment but this was due to the fact that I had recently strained my neck, otherwise my back had retained its strength and alignment. My issues have been resolved and going forwards I plan to have 6 monthly maintenance appointments, a far cry from spending money on 9 appointments a year to temporarily relieve the pain that I had. Dr. Cara is not only really good at what she does and has helped MASSIVELY in relieving tension across my body, but she’s also explained how. This has helped me 1) maintain good form in between sessions, and 2) want to go back and learn more, talk, and joke as she’s also really friendly when on the job :)

Fantastic experience: I was a bit skeptical seeing a chiropractor at first, but was amazed by how effective Cara's techniques are! After years of thinking I just carried stress in my shoulders and trying to fix it with massages, I decided to see Cara. I was a bit nervous but Cara always explains everything she's doing and why; this put me at ease immediately and the adjustments aren't anywhere near as bad as I thought they would be... Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Cara now for just under a year and I couldn’t recommend any one else other than Cara. My body has been in a bad posture position for years with out me even knowing. Cara has popped all my joints back to where they belong. Working in Admin I suffer with headaches and tension across my neck and shoulders, this is always resolved by Cara, leaving me feeling relaxed and taller. Fantastic experience: I had an accident at work where I fell onto my back and hit my head. I started to suffer with pain in my lower back and have headaches, however the NHS scans/x-rays couldn’t find anything wrong and the doctors just gave me painkillers to ease the pain, without actually getting to the root cause of the problem. I was referred to Cara by a friend and I found her to be knowledgeable, caring, professional and overall keen to help me with my situation, which, for me was a “breath of fresh air”. I had never seen a Chiropractor before, so I really didn’t know what to expect. She advised me that she specialises in a Chiropractic technique called ABC, which intrigued me as from my research this technique is rare, but I have to say, the results are AMAZING. She talked me through her diagnosis, immediately assisted with the source of the pain and corrected my posture. The results in the photographs she took, even after my first session, were ASTONISHING!!! Within a few days she had sent me a detailed “Report of Findings” by e-mail that I was able to forward to my line manager at work, which explained her diagnosis in great detail, which is something that the NHS were unable to do. I am looking forward to commencing a care plan to help me get my body back to the way I was, pre-accident. I understand that some things in life you have to pay for, but I have to say, Cara’s ABC technique is worth every penny. I can’t wait to be able to walk around pain-free again and to do the activities and play the sports that I used to be able to take part in. Thank you Cara for all that you’ve done so far, your hands are truly blessed!!! And sorry for the long review, will no doubt be writing another one once my care plan has finished and I am back to my usual self!!!

Fantastic experience: Being a dancer my back has always given me trouble along with my shoulders. I've had the pleasure of Dr Cara Joseph really sorting me out and getting me back in-line. Not only was she able to adjust me, Dr Joesph also is able to get to muscles I certainly CAN NOT get to. Cara is calm and extremely consistent with the level of care she gives.
