Proactive Plymouth

Fantastic experience: I received treatment from both David and Jacob for the symptoms of cervical spine spondylosis/stenosis, which has been impacting on my functioning. They each worked very differently but I was impressed by their professionalism and care, with realistic expectations of what could be achieved bearing in mind the degenerative nature of my condition. I found notable relief from some of the pain symptoms, for days, welcome respite from ongoing head/neck/jaw pain, which is not alleviated by medication unfortunately. It’s good to know this is available to me when I’m struggling, and although the relief isn’t permanent, I’m grateful to have this as an option.

Fantastic experience: I had a 3d scan today and treatment via exercise, manipulation .... what can I say, I walked out feeling as light as a feather....Jacob was amazing explaining and advising me.... thank you Jacob .

Fantastic experience: Visited Proactive Plymouth recently with an ongoing issue that has been causing me pain in my right leg for over 2 years. After visiting numerous other specialists over the course of 18 months I was still experiencing pain. Jacob located the problem and within just one session was able to relieve the pain successfully. Fantastic experience: Initially went to proactive osteopathy on recommendation to overcome lower back caused by misaligned pelvis. Dave was brilliant, saw me the same day I enquired and with continued maintenance sessions keeps me mobile & pain free. More recently have torn a knee ligament & knew Dave would fix me! He called me soon after I messaged and found time in his busy day to see me. Dave explains everything clearly, is so knowledgeable and has a real passion to reduce pain, aid mobility & help without any unnecessary appointments. Fantastic experience: First time I have had to have my back looked at and coming to this place was definitely the best decision I made. David not only help reset my hip and back, he took time in helping me understand what I needed to do to avoid causing myself any future injuries. Best of all, he was able to go out of his way and see me within a couple of hours rather than waiting a few days to be seen. Fantastic experience: I went to Proactive for my back/hips. I didn’t know what to expect, but they work on not only the spine, but also all the muscles groups. Through the use of a body scanner it has given a fascinating insight into the imbalances with my muscles and something tangible to work with. I am building up to an endurance event in the Summer and hoping to work with the team at Proactive to get me in best balanced shape I can. Well worth a visit .

Fantastic experience: I recently went to have the 3d postural scan which tells you all about your posture, bones and muscles and confirms what you need the team to work on. It was amazing, really fascinating, it showed I have a twisted pelvis which has been causing lower back pain. Dave and the team have worked on realignment and I am already feeling better. I would definitely recommend this if you are having any issues.

Not only was the deep tissue massage really effective her advice and on how to train without causing further damage was extremely helpful. Fantastic experience: So I went to see Dave mudge that was recommended to me by my dad. He is excellent at what he does. I have been in a lot of pain for a long time with a sciatic nerve. I have had 6 sessions with him now and I can walk a lot more and stand up straight now. I have recommended him to everyone that I know and they have been going. I was very depressed for a long time and I couldn’t work properly, now after just 6 sessions I am super happy in myself and more confident. I will definitely see Dave for any other treatments needed. Positive experience: Went to see Toby as a last resort after suffering for weeks with a sore right hip and knee. Wasn't sleeping well and was in constant pain. After 3 sessions I have been pain free and sleeping well. Not only did Toby identify the problem but he assisted me with stretches and exercises to do to ensure that the problem doesn't reoccur. Always friendly and professional will definitely recommend to others

Fantastic experience: I’m 21 and unfortunately very injury prone due to all the sport I do, about a year ago I had a knee operation but have had issues getting me knee back to pre-op condition ever since. Iv had a few different (quite experienced) physios but none of them have really been able to help me fix it. I started having some sessions with Toby a few weeks back to see if he could help, he was very professional and very knowledgeable and after just a couple of weeks my knee is already feeling better than it has done in well over a year ! Fantastic experience: I went to Tobias with lower back pain and boy is he a miracle worker. I went to a few osteopaths previously and they seemed quite new and unsure of what they where doing. Toby on the other hand Knows what he is doing. after an hour of treating my back, the relief was incredible. not completely gone but certainly much better. He also sorted out my shoulder which has had pain since a rollerblading accident 8 years ago. I am definitely going back for more treatment with my back. 10/10 would recommend to anyone experiencing muscular or skeletal soreness and pain. Cheers Toby.

Fantastic experience: I have been suffering with a stiff lower back for some time and as a landscape gardener I needed to get it sorted and back fit again. Tobias worked his magic and I walked out feeling a so much better, which made a huge difference the following day when I had to get back to the daily grind. Great Service.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend proactive enough, two visits to Toby in Plymouth with a frozen shoulder and I now have more movement in my shoulder than I ever have before. Ive found proactive more helpful than my own gp who usually sends me off with pain relief and a prescription for rest. I also mentioned I suffered with lower back problems and he’s helping with that too. Highly recommend for anyone not sure if it’s worth going, definitely worth it and you’ll wish you went sooner.

Fantastic experience: I have been to see Tobias twice now. At the first visit, I was experiencing lower back pain, that was quite severe and was affecting my every day life. Tobias was very professional and thorough, whilst also ensuring I felt comfortable at all times. He treated me with soft tissue deep massage, manipulations and intense stretches. From what has been a very long standing pain, despite visits to other osteopaths, to no pain. The only reason I have been to see him for a second time is to underpin the initial work that he did and to remain in the pain free state that I am currently really enjoying! I have booked in to see Tobias again next month. Thanks to him, I have increased my gym regime, become stronger, fitter and due to no pain, happier.
