Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend Jayden enough for physio. I had been dealing with multiple chronic climbing injuries for years and believed I would never climb without pain again. Thanks to Jayden and his expert knowledge, skills and patience I am now back climbing pain free!

I have huge confidence in the diagnosis and the exercises are making a big difference. I always trust their advice, no sense trying to simply “make money” from my injury.

Negative experience: This is a review for an earlier visit in 2025 I was looking for help with chronic problems related to my back and neck-and-shoulders area. I usually try to manage these problems with exercises prescribed in the past, but when it gets worse, I occasionally require a brief intervention to help me get back on track and continue exercising. I booked myself for an assessment at the White House, and I mentioned that it is not just one area but several areas of pain or discomfort. The assessment included standard questions and some hands-on manipulations. A positive point, the physiotherapist (PT) assessed one of my issues and offered an exercise that was new to me. Unfortunately, for most of the time I had to listen to a lecture about how some people experience pain and how stress may cause such pain, and had to answer questions about my general understanding of the anatomy of the spine, as if I were student during a university course exams. Several times, I tried to redirect the conversation to my individual symptoms and experiences, and to what I found helpful in the past (including a helpful PT intervention at the White House in the past), but all my comments were either ignored or dismissed as not valid. In the end, I was told that I don’t have to, but if I want I could book myself for another session, and that hopefully I will feel better if I have less stress in my life. It was not clear why exactly I needed to book myself again. I asked, what about my other back-and-neck problems which I kept talking about and which were not assessed, and I was told we did not have time to do everything in one session. I did not expect a magic cure for all my problems during an assessment session, but I expected that my needs would be assessed, and some kind of further treatment would be offered. Sadly, having paid a significant amount of money for not been listened to and my requests being ignored at the White House, I had to look for help in other places. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this service after this horrible experience.

Fantastic experience: I met David Sprot as a private patient when I first injured my ankle. It became apparent I would need surgery to fix my issue. David recommended me a surgeon and has since seen me as an NHS patient and has transformed my ankle back to how it was before my injury. David is highly knowledgeable, friendly and thorough, I cannot thank him enough for helping me back to full ankle strength. I would highly recommend David to anyone that needs help with an ankle injury. The White House clinic reception team are great. I have had a number of appointments that I’ve had to cancel and rearrange and it was never to much trouble. Thank you to everyone involved in my care I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend a sports massage with Tahler. Very knowledgeable, professional, and clearly experienced. He created a welcoming environment and delivered a genuinely effective treatment. I’ve been struggling with tightness for a while, and after just one session I noticed a big improvement. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend John Wort highly enough. I went to him with a frozen shoulder and extremely limited movement, and thanks to his skilled massage and treatment, I’ve seen a huge improvement in both mobility and pain levels. John is knowledgeable, professional, and takes the time to explain what’s going on, and tailored each session specifically to my shoulder's needs. Every appointment made a noticeable difference, i have gone from barely being able to move my arm to getting back to normal daily activities. Thank you, John, for all your help, it’s made such a positive impact.

Fantastic experience: After a total knee replacement and frustration with NHS physio or lack of ! I have been very fortunate to have found Ric Lockhart at the White House clinic . His knowledge of all knee related issues is unsurpassable. I cannot stress how important it is to find a specialist knee physio and particularly someone like Ric who has vast experience of total knee replacement. Without his input I would have been in a very poor place . His treatment has enabled me to get my life back . I cannot thank him enough . Thank you Ric

I’ve never been a huge fan of getting any sort of massage but happily reschedule with him every week, I really appreciate how he makes sure it’s a peaceful and safe environment as well as checking in through out. Fantastic experience: After five years of constant back pain, I went to White House Clinic to look at a different issue - I saw Simon Farrell who found the root cause was my old back pain. He convinced me to try acupuncture - a pretty tall order for someone with a needle phobia... and it's been awesome - the pain went away almost instantly. Several more sessions to go but this has been a revelation. thanks !

Fantastic experience: I went to the White House Physio therapy recently after spending 12 hours in A&E with a trapped Sciatic nerve (the worst pain ever felt) I was seen by Liam who relieved some of the pain and discomfort in my first session and had 2 more follow up sessions since 1 with Shelby and another with Liam which has really helped they also prescribed me some exercises to do to release the pain more and to help with my rehab in recovery. I would recommend the White House Physiotherapy to anyone they are brilliant. Thank you so much Liam and Shelby.

Fantastic experience: Physio here following knee replacement. First appointment with a male physio was not great, didn't feel supported. As he was on holiday, subsequent appointments have been with a different physio have been great, very supportive and felt stretched to achieve goals.

Fantastic experience: I received outstanding treatment from Steve Canning at the White House clinic, Sheffield West. He explored so many avenues to find the cause of a recurring and troublesome running injury which had kept me from running for 4 months. Having followed the detailed, progressive rehab plan, I am now back to running pain free and feeling stronger and better prepared for the rigors of running at 68.

Negative experience: I am writing this on behalf of my brother Aliraza who recently attended a medico-legal appointment with Dr Rahul Jain. My brother left the appointment very shocked and disappointed with the experience. From the moment he arrived at the clinic with my wife, he told me he was met with an abrupt and unwelcoming introduction. He emphasised to me how the appointment felt really rushed, and how he was frequently cut off when trying to answer questions or provide further detail. Despite having completed the required questionnaire in advance and bringing it with him, it was not looked at or referred to during the consultation at all. He also felt he was spoken to in a dismissive manner, at times being addressed as though he were a child, despite being a healthcare professional himself. Phrases such as “this is nonsense” and “I can tell you now that your appendicitis was coincidental” made him feel judged and uncomfortable throughout. This is incredibly rude Overall, the experience left him lacking confidence in the assessment and the report to be produced. Based on my interaction, he would not recommend Dr Rahul Jain for medico-legal appointments.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Tahler for sports massage. He takes time to listen to your needs and adapts accordingly to your goals. He has been great I will continue to be seeing him along my fitness journey. He has been fantastic from the start. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I’ve used the White House clinic for a couple of years for different issues and every physio or massage therapist that I’ve seen has been excellent. Particular shout outs to Steve for his supportiveness with an ongoing knee issue over a couple of years and Tahler for working miracles with massage on the same leg, which I hadn’t been able to straighten for 6 months before he worked on it.

Fantastic experience: I used to play sports at a high level where i had a full time dedicated sports massage therapist. But it’s been a while since i was treated to my old conditions / sports injuries. Tahler quickly assessed what i needed and did a great job getting me back on track. Full professional a Top lad and a good chat!

Fantastic experience: I have seen both Ric & Gregg at the White House for 2 separate football injuries I picked up, the treatment I received was excellent. I was taught how to do stretches correctly for both areas, which I still do daily which helps greatly as I train 4 times a week. It's a very good established clinic with friendly & helpful staff.

Fantastic experience: I had 6 sessions of Zsoka Balogh's Hips and Knees classes at the White House. These were shared classes with no more than 4 or 5 people of different levels of ability. Zsoka was able to make these classes individualised and fun while challenging at the same time. They also challenged my cognition. She is such a friendly, warm and knowledgeable woman and I thoroughly enjoyed these sessions.

Fantastic experience: I have received the best physiotherapy although painful at times Zsoka my physiotherapist has been very thorough and supportive through the treatment I have received. I can't thank her enough for helping me in gaining movement in my knee after having a knee replacement. After surgery I had very little movement in my knee and now after 6 sessions of physiotherapy I am able to bend my knee to a flex of 110 which I am very pleased with. Thanks again.

Fantastic experience: Physiotherapy with Carl was just what I needed to fix a running injury to my knees. Carl was wonderfully upbeat when I was worried I wouldn't run again, and his exercises worked brilliantly.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Irralee Andrzejowska at the White House Clinic. I'd had a problem with my shoulder but couldn't shift it with the usual remedies. Irralee took the time to ask me questions and carry out a thorough diagnosis to truly assess and understand what was happening and why I found it difficult to move my arm in certain directions. It turned out not to be a typical muscle strain and the treatment Irralee recommended was completely effective and I'm now well on the way to a full recovery. Thank you Irralee, if ever I need physiotherapy support and advice again I know who to see and I'll be sure to come back.

Fantastic experience: I had problems with pain and restricted movement in my ankle following surgery and also pain and limited movement in my shoulder. I booked in with John Wort who suggested scar mobilisation work on my ankle. I was skeptical at first but the difference after 1 session was noticeable and the improvement continues with each session. I only wish I had gone to see him sooner. John also treated my shoulder using several different techniques - my shoulder issues have now almost completely resolved. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: The sports massages by Steve from the Sheffield West clinic are fantastic. I have a manual job and need a bit of routine maintenance on my back and shoulders every so often. Positive experience: Edited: Cant actually fault the response to this Steven contacted me the same night I left this review and followed up with a phone call to see what they could do to improve. Personally thought this was a great touch and was much appreciated to resolve the issue so promptly. Used these guys a number of times over the years and always had a great experience until today. Had an appointment booked for this evening but had an unforseen circumstance come up at work which I found out about when starting work which meant I wouldn't be able to make my appointment. Phoned first thing when i'd found out (to rearrange not even to cancel) only to be told that it would class as a cancellation anyway and would be chargeable regardless. Completely understand cancellation policies but the fact that I haven't missed one appointment in all the years I've visited there and to be treated like that by reception means I'll definitely not be returning and also unfortunately will no longer recommend people go there as I had done in the past. A shame really,it just seems that the personal level of service has gone from here.

Negative experience: Was referred for physio for back problems and tendonitis shoulder. Saw 2 different clinicians for the 2 problems and both advised no hands on treatment, just exercise. As i already go to the gym regularly and have a PT this wasn't useful. Also told with my back problem that I "had to get used to the feeling" of not being able to lie comfortably. I have since been to a different physio and after only 2 treatments including ultrasound, cupping and shockwave am already much improved. Being told independently by different physios at The White House that they wouldn't do hands on treatment left me very disappointed, my problems unresolved and unsure what I was paying for.

Fantastic experience: Had 6 weeks physio on my neck after an accident at work in January 2024. Emily has helped me get better with exercises and manual physiotherapy. Felt very comfortable at the white house clinic as the staff was very friendly and also a lovely place in Sheffield.

Fantastic experience: Had a sports massage with Tahler Hill at the Gym group in kelham island as my back and shoulders had been feeling tight for the last few weeks and after the massage they felt the loosest they’ve felt in ages. He always check to see if the pressure was too much or I wanted more pressure and he clearly talked me through everything he was doing couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I have been undergoing an extensive period of physiotherapy support from Carl Ashmore following a full knee replacement; I have nothing but positive words to share regarding this experience. Carl's knowledge and understanding of this sort of surgery has been invaluable, as such he has provided a stepped programme where each stage of the rehabilitation was appropriate to the point of recovery I had reached, consequently, there always appeared to be a logic to the changes of programme he introduced as time progressed. His motivational skills are excellent, without recourse to cliche or tired old tropes he has kept me on track when my recovery was far more obdurate than I had anticipated. Finally, Carl is a fully paid up member of the human race and as such has taken an interest in my circumstances by remembering key features from previous sessions so that I never felt I was having to repeat myself or re-establish who I was to him. Having played a great deal of sport during my life, I have been subject to quite a range of recovery from injury through the work of physiotherapists, Carl is quite simply one of the most able I have encountered,

Fantastic experience: Great, deep massages from John Wort, easing my constant back ache. Effective exercises to practise too. I'm walking up hills, up stairs, doing more gardening and then realise that my back pain isn't there!! Marvellous!

Fantastic experience: Zsoka Balogh provided a very good Hips and Knees course lasting for six one-hour sessions. Her infectious enthusiasm made the course fun and she was incredibly adept at managing to persuade those more reluctant, including myself, to try and then enjoy pushing ourselves beyond what we thought we were capable of achieving. The fact that I am still carrying out most of the exercises speaks volumes for the success of the course.

Fantastic experience: The pilates classes are excellent. I have hugely benefited from these. Both Emma and Abbie are physios so they know exactly where to pitch the classes. They are very good in identifying problem areas and suggesting different variations to the exercises. They are very easy going and supportive and the fact that it's a small group means they can provide a lot of one to one guidance during the classes. Highly recommended to anyone looking to build core strength and get more flexible.

Fantastic experience: Just finished the Hip and Knee class with Zsòka Balogh. It was a small fun group and Zsòka worked us hard. From the first class my walking and balance improved (after I got over the aching muscles). I have done this as a prevention but can highly recommend for anyone who has had a hip or knee replacement/injury. I shall definitely sign up for another. Thanks Zsòka and Whitehouse. Fantastic experience: I had severe lower back pain, with no obvious cause and sleep almost impossible for any length of time for some weeks. My attempts to get relief initially involved a consultation with a private hospital, a Chiropractic treatment with massage, and a lumbar steroid injection administered by a private clinic, none of which got me any further. NHS treatment was of course available, but had to be discounted as an option as the lead time was just too long. In despair of receiving any viable treatment I was resigned to having the condition for life - until the White House Clinic (or more specifically Zsoka Balogh for Physiotherapy and Steve Canning for Acupuncture) - came to my rescue. Their treatments took some time, but my condition steadily improved to a stage where to all intents and purposes my once deep seated pain has now disappeared, just needing regular exercise now to maintain and build on what has been achieved. Thank you Zsoka and Steve for your professionalism and friendly manner which have brought about for me the solution which at one time I had dismissed as impossible.

Fantastic experience: I Saw Jamie after having fallen awkwardly in American Football training and hurt my neck. After being in a lot of pain for a few days I had a consultation and treatment. Fantastic experience: I had a muscular skeletal assessment with Zsoka for a problem with my lumbar spine which arose from trying to treat a chronic problem with my left knee. I had injured my knee and left SI joint in a skiing accident 15 months earlier. I had seen various physiotherapists, both NHS and Private, but was not gaining any relief from the treatment they suggested. I needed help, I was in a lot of discomfort and this was affecting my sleep so making me feel very unhappy with life. Zsoka was very cheerful and professional in her approach to the assessment. Despite having to take the long case history, she still had time to do a hands on assessment too. As a result, she gave me a programme of exercises to try and booked me in for a follow-up in 2 weeks. What was really useful was being provided with videos of how to perform the exercises so that I could keep referring back to them to make sure I was doing them correctly. At my follow up we discussed what had worked and not worked, identifying what needed adjusting. Zsoka then added some more exercises to give me a complete individualised programme to improve my core stability and strengthen my knees and back. I have followed this programme for several weeks and have reaped the benefits! I can now bend my left knee beyond 90 degrees without pain! Plus, I know how to treat any pain or stiffness in my back.
