Fantastic experience: First time attending for a physiotherapy appointment with Ana and can't praise her enough. Ana was very thorough and made me feel very comfortable from the get go. Felt very heard throughout the session and supported with the ailment I attended for.

Fantastic experience: I visited the physiotherapy Centre for help and advice about my pelvic floor problems. Ana immediately put me at my ease, she had a lovely gentle manner. She was very thorough in her questions about my lifestyle and health which enabled her to give such good advice. I had been doing pelvic floor exercises for a long time, but I’ve been doing them incorrectly. Now Ana has shown me the correct technique I will be able to get my muscle stronger. She also gave me instructions to use for warming up before my exercise classes. This means I will be able to continue doing them without making my problem worse. I now know how to adapt some of the movements so I can continue doing my classes. I left my appointment feeling how worthwhile it had been and I would recommend Ana to anyone who needs help with their pelvic floor problems.

Fantastic experience: George has been helping me recover from a shoulder injury over the past couple of months, and the difference has been huge. His combination of tailored exercises, sports massage, and genuine care and understanding has really helped speed up my recovery after I’d been struggling for quite a while. I’ve made more progress in a short time than I expected, and I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking for physio treatment.

Fantastic experience: I have had the best treatment from The Physiotherapy centre. I went in with my back in agony and even after my first session had much more movement and reduced pain with follow up exercises that had me back on my feet very quickly. Emma was absolutely exceptional, she pinpointed the issue straight away and really adapted sessions and my follow up plan to support my lifestyle, fitness and strength goals. Emma's knowledge and experience really shone through, she raised my awareness about my body and has taught me the tools and techniques to continue building up my strength and alignment. I have had physio before but never really took much from it, I cannot recommend enough and plan to continue to work with them through the classes offered.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant treatment. I have been suffering with arthritic pain for two years now but the only treatment that has given me freedom from pain is a massage from one of their physiotherapists. Wonderful when you think about it.

Fantastic experience: Ana was really good today. Took time to listen to my symptoms, did some investigations then did some soft tissue massage to loosen up a tight, sore shoulder. Gave me some exercises to do at home to strengthen the damaged muscles. All the while showed empathy and concern. Would highly recommend both the practice and also Ana in particular.

Fantastic experience: The Physiotherapy Centre has sorted out a number of issues for me when i wanted the advice of someone who was a specialist in a particular field.

Negative experience: I had a really helpful appointment with Sarah at 6 weeks postpartum and chose to rebook for my 6-month appointment. Unfortunately, norovirus hit our household. Although my symptoms had mostly subsided and I technically could have attended, I informed the clinic as soon as possible, as I was still contagious and didn’t want to risk infecting others. Because this fell within 48 hours of the appointment, I was charged the full fee. I respectfully challenged this, and Maria offered a 50% reduction if I rebooked, but I felt uncomfortable supporting a business that penalises new mums for unavoidable illness and for choosing to act responsibly. Due to the extreme application of the cancellation policy, I would have been better off- personally- attending the appointment while still potentially contagious. While I completely understand the need for cancellation policies, especially for small businesses, this felt unnecessarily rigid and, honestly, exploitative. As a result, I chose not to rebook and have also decided against the postnatal classes I had originally planned and budgeted for. Really disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Having suffered with knee pain for a while after joining a gym i needed advise and went to see Tayla, she was absolutely brilliant. She listened patiently as i explained what my problem was. Tayla examined my knee and i was asked to hold some positions some of which where painful but Tayla was so reassuring and very tentative. I am so happy and i feel so much better for getting some professional advise. Thankyou A

Fantastic experience: I spent hours in the royal Liverpool hospital with the worst back pain I have ever experienced,my daughter booked me an appointment with Emma,I honestly thought this lady can not do anything for me . How wrong was I ,she made me feel calm and relaxed and used her magic hands on my back ,my trapped nerve is no longer trapped and the pain relief I have is like a miracle ,I can only thank my daughter and Emma .Paul Young

Fantastic experience: I had a trapped nerve injury which was wrongly diagnosed by A & E at the Royal Hospital Thankfully I was able to get an appointment the next day with Emma who was able to diagnose it correctly and over the course of two months she was able to treat me with multiple sessions and emailed me stretches to do inbetween sessions Now I am fully healed. Emma is very friendly and personable. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been attending the physiotherapy centre for about 9 years now. I have chronic osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. I honestly believe i wouldn't be able to walk now without the knowledge of the therapists here. Also the reception staff are lovely and make you feel welcome on each visit

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Taylor for a couple of years now due to recurring back issues, and every visit has made a real difference. Taylor is not only kind and easy to talk to, but also highly skilled at relieving muscle pain. I usually go for the three-massage offer because I know I’ll be back! She’s also given me great long-term advice—like using a foam roller, stretching, and being smarter at the gym—which has really helped. The staff, especially Maria, are always friendly and helpful, both on the phone and in person. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Met with Jenny over a shoulder issue that had been causing me a lot of pain for months, the exercises and stretches she recommended have made a huge difference. All staff I met seem welcoming and friendly. This was money well spent, I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Just had another visit to the Physiotherapy Centre, this time with a niggling injury to a muscle in my back that I done at the gym. As ever, they were very efficient in arranging my appointment and sending reminders. The physio I seen today, Max, was great and certainly knew his stuff! He was thorough when treating the injury, also showing me some stretches and exercises to do whilst advising me on self treatments and probable recovery time. Fantastic experience: I went for a consultation about a troublesome knee problem. Richard took time to listen to the symptoms and then explained in clear terms the probable causes. He made me feel so relaxed. In the gym area he tested the knee and offered several tips on how to improve both strength and flexibility for my knee. It was not a hard sell, just a clear, honest assessment. Highly, highly recommended

Examination of the knee was very thorough. I felt very positive about recovery of knee issue and would recommend the Physio Therapy Centre.

Fantastic experience: I had a natal check with Sarah Norris and had such a positive experience. Sarah gave me a lot of reassurance about my recovery with useful tips for getting back to ‘normal’. Sarah is clearly very knowledgable about post c section recovery - she gave me a comprehensive check and some really helpful advice. She’s also very friendly and made me feel really comfortable.

Fantastic experience: When I started having lower back problems which weren't going away, I did a web search for physiotherapists near me. Some had retired or moved away, some were tied to gyms I didn't want to visit, so The Physiotherapy Centre was pretty much the only option left. I am so glad I found this place. They listened to my problems and recommended I see Sam Dixon. He listens well (and takes lots of notes). He is obviously experienced. He proceeds in a logical manner and I feel confidence in his judgement and decisions. The exercises he prescribed for me alleviated my problem ( he can't make me any younger) so much that I made the mistake of stopping doing them. I won't make that mistake again.

Negative experience: I went to the physiotherapy centre in January last year, after having chronic, daily knee pain for around 6 months. Unfortunately, what I found here was a "one size fits all" approach, and when the exercises I was given didn’t help, the physio told me I didn’t need to come back as I had the knowledge I needed and just needed to keep going with the exercises. I did this in total for 6 months with no change in pain. I also suffered a new injury whilst carrying out the exercises given, and this was completely ignored. The negative review here is not down to the fact the exercises didn’t help, or that I suffered a second injury – things happen, and the same things won’t help everyone. What helps most is obviously a good starting point. The negative review is due to the lack of ongoing help/willingness to see if there perhaps was a different cause, and just being told to leave, as well as the new injury being ignored completely.

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment with Rob Bland for a sprained ankle. He is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and friendly - would highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Pilates classes at the Physiotherapy Centre for around a year now and I have found them to be tremendously helpful. I have sciatica and as a result of this have struggled with back problems. The classes have improved my flexibility to the point where I can touch the floor without bending my knees when I couldn’t a year ago. Aside from the physical benefits, coming to the classes have been helpful for my mental wellbeing too. All the instructors are good but Roberta really tailors the class to the individual. The classes are friendly and inclusive so you want to keep coming back. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful place, caring and considerate. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have fantastic Pilates and Yoga teachers here. Sarah and the team run it very well. Harriet helped me for 2 years, from 3 months post spinal surgery all the way through the pandemic and was a lovely online presence during that time. Roberta is a fantastic teacher with an amazing energy who carefully adapts the Pilates exercises for each person’s injuries and situation and has really improved my form. I was hesitant about trying yoga with my limitations and didn’t think I’d be able to do it, but Emma runs a brilliant style of class (online too!) that is relaxing and flowing and I’ve found myself repeating many of the sequences throughout the rest of the week. They’re all lovely people, there’s a great atmosphere and you do feel cared for here. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: For me the Physiotherapy Centre has been a brilliant, one stop shop. I had suddenly been faced with three, long term, potentially serious health issues and I was determined to fight back and come out on top - this I have managed to do, thanks to the terrific support from the Director, Sarah, and her team. Every week I benefit from on line Pilates, one to one reformer Pilates and a Pilates mat work class; on top of this I have been brought back to full fitness thanks to pelvipower training for my pelvic floor, sports therapy massage and specialised physiotherapy for my knees, feet and back. All the practitioners are fully qualified and they are backed up by delightful and very efficient administrators; the Physiotherapy Centre is a happy and friendly place to go to and the cleanliness and health and safety standards are all second to none. The team members liaise very carefully, if you are a complex case (which I have been) and they work immaculately under Sarah's direction. I owe my current recovery entirely to them and, with my physical and mental well-being now restored, I can now go back into the world and offer strength and enthusiasm for new projects - so a big thank you to everyone for their help and support. Fantastic experience: I joined Sam's pilates classes in December 2019 after a thorough individual assessment. The classes were excellent - each week's routine was varied and calibrated to meet a range of needs. Then came Covid lockdown. The staff responded very quickly to the new reality and set up online pilates classes. They were invaluable during lockdown and since then - it's so convenient to be able to choose online classes or studio classes. And the vimeo facility is welcome too. It's particularly helpful to have experienced physiotherapists running the show. I highly recommend the team.

Fantastic experience: Saw Sarah for a mummy MOT after suffering with pelvic girdle pain both during and after pregnancy. Sarah recommend trying reformer Pilates and I’ve been going to her open studio class (a small class where she guides each of us based on her knowledge of our individual needs) for 8 months now. In that time I’ve gone from not being able to sit up without pain to being able to work on advanced Pilates movements. My pain has gone and I’m stronger than I’ve possibly ever been. I love the class and the friendly, inclusive atmosphere Sarah’s created. Using the equipment has, for me, been a game changer. I’ve also tried classes with the other Pilates teachers and been equally impressed. 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: 7 years on and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my Pilates class. I was pain free within 6 months and am stronger, more flexible and injury free because of Sarah and her amazing team.

Fantastic experience: Have seen Sarah for mummy MOTs after both pregnancies and pre birth on the second as well as attending post natal Pilates. I have to say the service Sarah and the team provide is second to none! Individually tailored, personal support at each step of your journey back to fitness. At the moment I’m attending the Thursday Pilates with Roberta, the class has different levels of student in it from 4 weeks to 6 months postnatal and she manages to keep us all moving and working hard and safely despite a mixed level class. I’ve made some lovely friends here too!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had appointments with Sarah for both a Mummy MOT and a follow up 10 months later, and both experiences have been brilliant. Sarah is so thorough, explains everything so clearly and, crucially, just seems to “get it”. Like a lot of people, I’m balancing work and childcare, and she factored this into the treatment plan by ensuring the exercises are designed to have maximum impact whilst being easy to fit into a busy routine. I’ve come away both times feeling listened to, reassured and empowered. Thank you Sarah!
