Fantastic experience: Connor was instrumental in my recovery from a significant back injury, transforming me from a state of high pain and very low mobility to one where I was jumping around onstage again (I’m a musician!) in a matter of months! He gave me a few easy-to-implement daily exercises which set me on the road to recovery. With a brilliant combination of science and positivity, Connor gave me the confidence I needed ti believe in my body’s capacity for healing and strength.

Zen's understanding of physiotherapy and injuries is second to none. I know this for a fact as I was treated by almost every physio in Liverpool before I came across his clinic. When I first visited City Rehab years ago, I had constant pain in my knees and I could barely walk or sleep. I saw specialists all over Merseyside who told me I needed surgery to fix my problem and some said it will never go away. Zen was the only person who approached my issue positively and in a different manner. Thanks to his support, I have now climbed mountains and I'm back to taking part in all kinds of sports as my legs have never felt stronger. City Rehab have since supported me with multiple other injuries and the team always help me get back to my best. I wouldn't even considering going to another physio clinic.

Fantastic experience: City Rehab Review A work colleague recommended City Rehab after I had a bad fall and dislocated 3 discs in my back which caused me issues with walking and I was struggling with my balance. Connor Hannaway was brilliant after he took over my physio care from Ailish who was initially assigned to me when I first started to use City Rehab. I was worried about the level of care I would receive moving forward because of the change of Physiotherapist part way through my programme and treatment. When Ailish informed me she was leaving to travel abroad I considered looking around for a new Physiotherapist. Val who co-ordinates the appointments and payments assured me that Connor their other Physiotherapist, was just as good as Ailish. Val's advice was not wrong and I found Connor to be excellent both in the instruction of my session plans, setting me the exercises and motivating me during my therapy sessions. After a number of months of attending City Rehab, I had my last session with Connor. This was only because I was referred to NHS balance sessions at Broadgreen Hospital by my consultant. My progress has been that good that I have recommended Connor and City Rehab to friends and relatives. City Rehab are excellent, value for money and nothing is too much trouble for Val when you need to book or change any appointments. Fantastic experience: Following an injured calf and achilles that didn't seem to be healing the way I would have hoped from other treatment, I did a bit of research and came across city rehab. It was really easy to book an appointment and everybody I spoke to was lovely. In terms of physio, Sam assessed and then explained the injury really well. Each appointment they reviewed my progress and adapted the session and out of session exercises accordingly and by the end I had hit the goals I had wanted to from working with them. Fantastic experience: I think you’d struggle to find a better service than City Rehab. Can’t thank Zen enough. A tailored programme of exercises, acupuncture and hands on techniques. Zen has been professional, motivating and has educated me to ensure long term benefits. 8 weeks ago I couldn’t walk more than 4 miles without getting sciatica. Now I’ve walked 26miles pain free! Several years on from this review, and I would still highly recommend City Rehab. My sciatica is still under control, and in fact not a problem due to their good advice. I have had treatment more recently from each member of the team for a neck issue due to my job. Each physiotherapist has been professional and has put me at ease. I always leave with my pain resolved and good advice.

Fantastic experience: Zen is a brilliant physio , he was recommended to me 5 years ago by my PT at the time who was also a former client . I first saw Zen with my shoulder having problems for a while in the gym with my rotator cuff then a few years later I had gluteal tendinothopy , on both occasions Zen gave me a plan to recover without having to stop what I do in the gym which is what I wanted .I couldn’t recommend him enough .

A very thorough review and analysis of the ankle injury history followed by a clear, unambiguous diagnosis corresponding to my subjective sense of the current state. This culminated in a simple set of easy to perform daily exercises to provide appropriate strengthening and neural re-conditioning. 'Pin sharp' physiotherapist!

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to City Rehab for many years for a range of different issues (unfortunately!), and each time Zen has been superb in diagnosing, treating, and encouraging positive changes to my day to day activities to minimise risk of further injury. Recurring injury can be frustrating but Zen has been able to tap into the 'therapy' element of physiotherapy to help me understand pain and create a mindset where pain doesn't stop me from having an active lifestyle and doing the sports/exercise I enjoy. Fantastic experience: I saw connor who went assessed my Achilles rupture progress very estutely, and set out vital exercises which he took great time in ensuring I was doing it effective and safely. I am immensely pleased in the planned support that will allow me to eventually walk and carry out my goals with good strength. Thanks, great service and good communications via Val and there on-line portal. I look forward to the next few weeks and hope to post a further review in a few weeks to report how effective it has been but I’m confident for the first time.

Fantastic experience: Around a year ago, and after a really bad experience with another physio clinic, I called City Rehab to enquire about treatment as I was suffering from back pain, calf and sciatica issues rooted under foot problems. Val was fantastic on the phone and it reassured me when I decided to book an appointment with Sam. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and she started addressing each issue with a lot of care and attention. I can say that Sam's treatment and guidance combined with orthotic foot insoles have finally sorted my pain. I am absolutely grateful for the care and attention and I will not hesitate to go back should I need treatment in the future. I would highly recommend their services if you are in pain. Fantastic experience: First came to city rehab with a partially torn ACL from football, Zen guided me back into full match fitness across 4 months without the need for surgery, where I played another year and a half with only little niggles for which others at city rehab helped me bounce back from within a couple of weeks. I eventually ended up tearing my ACL again (still not a full rupture, but worse this time) for which Ailish guided me through a rehab program which got me back playing after about 4 months, again without need for surgery (took me a few more months to play pain free due to a bone bruise, but my knee fully functioned from this point). 10 months of playing has passed now without a knee injury (even a small one) to speak of, from religiously sticking to the strengthening program I have received from city rehab! (A change of footwear/stud type also helped avoid reinjury) These guys are specialists.

Fantastic experience: I had my sport massage with Kieron today, he is very knowledgeable, with a great understanding of my sport background! Every second of my session made me feel more reassured and confident about his expertise and experience! After just one session, I already feel much better and feel like all my muscle pain been fixed! I’m continuing with Kieron on maintenance massages and I am already looking forward to my next appointment!

Fantastic experience: Excellent tailored one on one analysis and treatment from very well educated and experienced staff. I've been going to Samantha here. Been trying a number of different approaches to dealing with sciatica, from Marcus over at Holistic (also very good), electro acupuncture and here. I think I will benefit most from the sessions at City Rehab. Side note: this gaff was recommended to me by my friend who's used these a few times and the past and been happy with them, (and she's a doctor).

Fantastic experience: Best physio in the city! As a relatively fit and active person I had struggled to recover from injuries in the past. Following the advice from other physios would get me nowhere since they would always prescribe avoiding certain movements combined with very light exercises that did not actually help me recover. The approach Connor took was completely different: He listened, evaluated my case thoroughly and prescribed me exercises that were at my level of strength and flexibility. I was able to recover and come back to my previous level of training faster and with no hiccups. Would highly recommend Connor to anyone who is into sports
