Fantastic experience: I have had on and off back and neck pain which all started through poor posture while studying and office work. The pain with any level of exercise would come back and would be so bad it would make movement extremely sore. This year my back and neck pain came back and I don't think I have ever experienced back and neck like this. Working, driving and sleeping has been a nightmare. I moved to Portobello 5 years ago and this year I found Portobello Chiropractic, I went for a screening to see what could be done with the pain I was suffering and went back for my results and a treatment plan. Since starting treatment I my back and neck pain is improved dramatically not only that my posture. I have always been walking slouched over and slouched at my desk now I sit and walk more comfortably with the correct posture and don't feel in so much pain not only that I can walk my dog and not feel in agon, even if my dog pulls on the lead it doesn't seem so sore. The methods Josh uses to adjust my body is fantastic, it's natural working with the body to correct it and though I have a long way to go I'm already feeling the benefits. Hopefully will be back to running soon. Josh takes time to address my concerns about my back and neck pain and the techniques used are really working. When working from home I will do the simple exercises uploaded on the app which is brilliant. I would highly recommend Portobello Chiropractic, Josh and his team are fantastic. Fantastic experience: My back used to spasm quite regularly but it would always pass in a couple of days. Last March it went into spasm but after 2 weeks hadn't subsided. I was 3 weeks out from going snowboarding and worried I might need to cancel. I was recommended Josh, but was sceptical of chiropractors but gave it a shot and in 4 weeks I could snowboard without a hint of back pain. I kept up treatments and am now just going for maintenance and have stayed pain free in my back for months, for the first time in years. Would recommend to anyone. It feels expensive to start with but it's an investment in your health and wellbeing that can't have a price put on it.

After biting the bullet & through advice from friends & colleagues i decided to go see Josh. The recommendation for Josh came from a good friend and honestly i wish i went to a chiropractor 20-30 years ago. Don’t be put off by these weird & wonderful youtube videos as they put me off going for years. The experience with Josh is absolutely nothing like what you see with zero paid at his sessions. Fantastic experience: I first came to see Josh back in October and the difference between now and then is quite incredible. I had been suffering from back and neck pain and was struggling to sit at my desk every day. I also play curling and was starting to notice my back pain was impacting my performance. I was relying on heat patches to help me get through competitions and training. I didn't know what to expect initially but Josh has such a calm manner and explains everything he's doing. I'm seeing so much of an improvement that I look forward to my appointments now. The only downside is that I have to carry my dog out of the clinic every time I'm there as she'd much rather stay behind to have treats with Amber!! Fantastic experience: Super welcoming and lovely practice, Josh and Amber will make you feel very comfortable right away. Honestly cannot recommend Josh enough,. Came in with a bulged disk after a rugby injury. I was in savage pain with sciatica and all sorts for about 8 months before deciding to come in, couldn't even tie my shoes in the morning. Within the first month I felt massive improvements, both with how my body felt and mental health. It's now been 3(ISH) months and honestly my back feels better than it have ever has. I have more mobility than ever, no pain whatsoever, my posture has improved massively and am confident enough to do anything without the worry of back issues or pain (I'm even back to heavy lifting in the gym!!). Seriously if you have any sort of issue or niggle I would fully trust Josh to sort you out and get you back feeling happy and healthy. It's life changing stuff!!

Fantastic experience: I have never had an adjustment before so was a little nervous of the whole concept! I had just arrived back in Edinburgh after a long flight from the US and felt tired, lethargic and stiff necked. Also, as I’m not in my 20s anymore, I have the usual aches and pains. My Daughter works at Portobello Chiropractic and I decided to give it a go. It was amazing! Josh was totally professional, put me at ease straight away. Turns out I have one leg a little shorter than the other! Anyhow, after my adjustment I felt wonderful and my neck felt great. The overall tiredness I felt was much less too! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Portobello Chiropractor for the great service and fantastic results. I first started visiting the practice in March as I had been suffering with pain in my lower back, neck and hip for several years and had poor posture due to sitting hunched at a desk at work. I also wanted to see if sorting my posture would improve my golf swing so that lunch would be on my golf partners rather than me for a change. After an initial consultation with Josh where he listened to my struggles and we chatted through the process we decided on correction then maintenance over several sessions. I felt an improvement after the first two weeks and it’s been getting better ever since. I have started going back to the gym and signed up for a 10k run in a few weeks. More importantly, the golf game is... well, it's still pretty poor, but now I look really good doing it. The swing is so fluid, but I just need get the ball to go in the direction I’m aiming at. ‍♂️ I look forward to my visits to the practice to see Josh and Amber who are wonderful and always welcoming (even if your covered in sweat after a run ) I’d give you 6 stars if I could. Fantastic experience: I began chiropractic care at Portobello Chiropractic in May, starting with visits twice a week and gradually coming in once a week. I originally sought care because of intense muscle knots and pain in my upper back, shoulders, and neck. Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Josh by my mum (who has rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis) and stepdad (a retired satellite engineer and keen golfer). This is my second time around coming to Josh for sessions. I have chronic back pain which flares up and fibromyalgia. The first time, around 8 months ago, I was in so much pain that sitting for more than about 10 minutes at a time was impossible. I had a few sessions and had a sudden realisation that I had been sitting for almost an hour and hadn't noticed! I went back again today, as I had been camping for a few days and was in AGONY after getting a massage yesterday. I could barely move my neck, my lower back and hips felt "stuck" and I had the worst headache ever. The neck adjustment actually made me cry because it felt so good I'm on the bus home and I can rotate my head to the right again, the headache is subsiding and my lower back feels a bit better and I know that it will continue to improve. I also love that the team seem to genuinely care and love their jobs, an energy which leaves you feeling like a valued customer! Thanks Josh!

Fantastic experience: I came to Portobello Chiropractic after 7 years of different physiotherapists and doctor's appointments with no improvement. Fantastic experience: I had various aches and pains as well as nerve discomfort for years and it had just become a way of life. Having been to a previous chiropractor and not seeing much improvement, I decided to try again and I am so glad I found Josh. Josh is the only one so far that has been able to diagnose my condition and even though I've only had a few sessions, I can feel the improvement already. He's explained everything in detail, always happy to answer any questions, and has come up with a plan to address my condition. I would definitely recommend his practice if you're searching for a chiropractor. Update: I've been attending the practice for over 4 months now and I've noticed improvements in my posture. The adjustment session are paying off and I don't have as much discomfort as I used to have. Fantastic experience: My goal with seeing a chiropractor was to improve my mobility and reduce some aches and pains that have crept in over the years. Josh has been receptive and encouraging with this and significant improvement has been made, noticeable both on a day to day basis and on the review stats and photos. Fantastic experience: I can highly recommend Josh. I went to him with arthritis in my ankle and tendinitis . I was very dubious at first but I can trust he knows what he is doing. He has been able to sooth the pain and relieve me of hip pain caused from over compensation. He is still working on my ankle and straighten my spine which had a slight curvature . I have every faith in him that I will be right as rain very soon.
