Fantastic experience: I booked a sports massage with Laurie and had a great experience! The appointment started with an assessment, then the massage, followed by some exercise recommendations. The session felt very custom to my needs and I walked away feeling like my muscles got the deep attention they needed. Laurie is attentive and passionate about his work and it shows by all the details and nuances he notices. If you are looking for a thorough session where someone can finally get deep into the muscle and you can endure high amounts of pressure (as needed), I would recommend Laurie!

Fantastic experience: I went to Bodyworks while on vacation in Edinburgh as I am post-operative and needed manual lymph drainage. If I could have adopted Helen Lim and taken her back to Switzerland with me I would have. She is fantastic and I am hugely grateful to have found her!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming now for over 7 years, booking in once every month or two! They are great for deep tissue massage and physio, and also are excellent for pregnancy massage (especially Rachael). They have a special pillow so you can comfortably lie on your front without pressure and get a real back massage

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure to be treated by Zara on Friday. I had pain in my knee for a few years as I suffer with osteoarthritis but the sport massage i received on Thursday was a great surprise to me as a fantastic remedy - not without pain though but a great remedy to relief tightness in the soft tissue which is aggravating the pain normally. It almost feels like a have a new knee now. I would recomendad Zara as a very friendly and professional Physiotherapist.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of being treated by Rachel this past weekend, and I couldn’t be more impressed with her work. From the moment I arrived, she was incredibly polite and even offered me a glass of water as I waited, since I had arrived a bit early for my appointment. I had booked an appointment for cupping therapy and a deep tissue massage, as I’ve been dealing with persistent back pain, which had worsened significantly in the week leading up to my visit. Rachel took the time to thoroughly explain what could be contributing to my pain and how the treatment would help address the issues and gave me some exercises to do in my own time to help with it. Since my appointment, I’ve already noticed an improvement in my pain levels, and I’m looking forward to my next session in a month, which I’m sure will provide even more relief. What truly stood out was Rachel’s keen observation: she noticed tension in the muscles in my neck, which she suspected might be linked to the headaches and migraines I often experience—something I hadn’t even mentioned to her before. After following her advice when I felt the early signs of a migraine coming on today I was thrilled to find that it prevented the migraine from developing, something that has never happened before. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the service Rachel provided. Her expertise and knowledge were evident throughout the session, and I was genuinely impressed by her professionalism. I highly recommend her and highly recommend she gets a raise :)

Fantastic experience: Was treated by Rachel today and she was very pleasant and informative on how things would proceed today. The Remedial shoulder massage was perfect and although we never achieved the desired affect of a full range of motion on my damaged shoulder. I could feel a huge difference which encouraged me to book for a second appointment to see if we can either knock on the head next time or If may need to consider other avenues as this could be a structural issue rather than soft tissue. All in all great service and highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going regularly for several months for shoulder/neck tension and have felt infinitely better ever since, thanks to Bodyworks. Andrea is the absolute best, I highly recommend her deep massages. I’ve been working with Steven, who is also fantastic, for dry needling and the combination of both in one place is perfect. Both are experts in their craft, adapting their techniques based on my needs at the moment, and are always easy to talk to. I genuinely look forward to my sessions and always walk away feeling better than before.

Fantastic experience: Had the pleasure of a deep tissue massage with Erin yesterday - and my back feels great! Erin is warm and friendly and really listens to what your issues are. She’s genuinely concerned about addressing your aches and pains - she said she loves her job and it shows. Once we got going, I could feel the knots in my shoulders melting away. Erin clearly knows the body/muscle groups so is adept at giving extra attention to certain areas. I wanted to wait a day to review to see results and I’m pain-free today! My neck feels loose and I’m relaxed. Two thumbs up to Erin! (For people looking for the location, you need to go down some steps before entering the property. I got a little lost!)

Fantastic experience: i had an appointment with Arjun at the weekend and i am so happy with how it went. first time visiting Bodywork’s and i couldn’t recommend enough. i had severe neck/upper back pain for several weeks and with help from Arjun i feel so much better and pain free! he listened to my needs, have a very good deep tissue massage and advised me rehab and exercises to do which have also helped a lot to prevent the pain coming back. hopefully i’m not back anytime soon however if i ever need a massage or physiotherapy i will definitely be returning. thanks Arjun, great work!

Fantastic experience: Steven is simply the best physio I’ve ever with. They say at Bodyworks they get to the root of the problem and that is certainly the case with Steven. Through a combination of diagnosis, hands on treatment and advice on exercises, he has helped me resolve various chronic issues over the last few years, which others had failed to diagnose correctly.

Fantastic experience: Had a neck, back and shoulder 45mins remedial message with Erin, she is highly knowledgeable and has a calming nature. Had some very tight areas which were addressed & worked on. Left feeling instant relief and relaxed. Quite literally taken the weight off of my shoulders! Also was given really useful breathing exercises to try out.

Fantastic experience: I had a physiotherapy massage with Blanca and she was amazing. It was my first time getting any kind a massage, and I thought it necessary as I have been in a lot of pain. Blanca was so sweet and attentive, really taking the time beforehand to listen to me and discuss the issue I was having. The massage was fantastic and afterwards, I immediately felt less pain, and she then talked me through some stretches to help me out. Fantastic experience: I had a deep tissue massage today with Andrea. I was impressed, she was quite kind and skillful. I love massages and this has been one of the best I had had. She found quickly where my tension and knots were and applied just enough pressure to release them but not as much to be painful at any moment. She was kind while talking but also left me time to enjoy the massage in silence. I can't recomend the pleace enough

Fantastic experience: Had a remedial deep tissue massage with Andrea, and it was easily the best one I've had in my life. She was so kind, personable and professional while wringing out what felt like every tight, sore spot in my body, including ones I didn't realise I had! With careful attention (eg. asking whether I would prefer more pressure and informing me why she was performing a certain technique) she sorted out my tight calves and back, and immediately found the perfect "hurts so good" level as she worked on every body part. I would recommend her skills and expertise to anyone. Thank you so much!

Positive experience: This is our first-time @Bodyworks Edinburgh for deep tissue massage. Andrea makes me feel very comfortable and focused on my lower back. She showed me some interesting exercises, which can strengthen my back. My husband also enjoyed his massage with Alysia, and he felt very comfortable too. Fantastic experience: I have just had my first Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage and I had a wonderful time, I felt so relaxed after the massage and had a good night sleep that night. I was given really good advice on how to carry this routine at home and I can't wait to see the results.

Fantastic experience: I get a sports massage every 6 weeks as maintenance more than anything. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my recovery from the gym as well as less injuries. Alessia is clearly highly knowledgable and knows exactly what areas to focus on. Alessia is also brilliant at showing me new stretches to try which can support after each workout. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have had a course of physio for a knee injury (running) and can highly recommend Bodyworks, and especially Jess my physio. Appointments (which were available to suit my diary) have been professional, friendly and worthwhile and helped stretch and loosen muscles and joints. I have had clear explanations of probable causes of my knee issue, been given a good series of progressive exercises to do over the course of my treatment and I have consistently strengthened and improved throughout this. Online videos showing my exercises are very helpful, as has been the specific personal feedback and coaching on how I exercise and move. Definitely a worthwhile investment.

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I love this place we started with a massage from Phoebe and it was amazing. I went back for Physio w/ Jess for knee and neck pain and it has been a lovely experience everyone is extremely knowledgeable and VERY friendly!!! Highly highly highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Received physio from Steven on multiple occasions, usually for quite complex and confusing pains and injuries. I can always rely on leaving Bodyworks with my injuries under control and solid, practical steps to overcoming whatever is happening at the time. The sports and deep tissues massages from other Bodyworks employees have always been amazing! Easily the best place around for body MOT!

Fantastic experience: I had an incredible treatment with Emma. I was feeling a build up of tension in my upper body and was mentally lacking clarity. Emma helped me not only physically but emotionally to process my thoughts and release stuck energy. The remedial massage was highly effective and I'd recommend her to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I went for just one 30minute session with Matt and couldn’t recommend more. By far the best physio I’ve ever had. He was knowledgeable in causes and symptoms of lower back pain, giving me plenty of exercises and new gym routines.

Negative experience: One of the worst massage experiences I’ve had. I booked a “relaxation” treatment and discussed this with the therapist beforehand. The experience was anything but relaxing. I left feeling in more pain and stressed than when I arrived. I wish I had never gone. Feeling terrible and a waste of time and money.

Fantastic experience: As Google limits one review per business this is a new review based on my visit 28 October 2021. Another 5* visit for my sports massage. Lovely warm friendly welcome. Having had a very sore lower and mid back. Although feeling like second place in the Pamplona Bull run immediately afterwards I can say that I am completely pain and discomfort free. Thanks again Ashleigh for a great sports massage and getting me back up and running. Will see you again early next year for my MOT. Last minute booking easily arranged on-line for some urgent attention to a very painful tight shoulder and neck and upper arm. Ashleigh was very professional and friendly so felt at ease. Quickly went through the questions to establish the problem. I booked in for a deep tissue sports massage and got exactly what I hope for. Don't be fooled by the slim athletic frame and I mean this in the most positive way a deep tissue massage it was. Ok it does feel like I have been trampled by bulls but now 2 days after the pain deep in the shoulder is beginning to ease and I have got more movement in the neck. Great job and so handy for me....

Fantastic experience: Had a great 60 minute Indian Head Massage with Steph, who was professional, intuitive to my needs and so accommodating when I arrived slightly late. The massage was excellent and very relaxing - focusing on the head as well as neck, shoulders and arms. I was given further advice on how to get the most of the massage later that day and also given a few exercises for my needs. Will definitely be back for more treatments in the near future - would highly recommend

Work on really tight muscles is never great (ouch) but a fab chat about movies created distraction and we all know it is going to feel better in the end. Fantastic experience: Since having COVID 19, and subsequently being diagnosed with Long COVID, I have been to Bodyworks to have Lymphatic Drainage Massage. The treatment has been excellent and is one of the few things I have found that relieves the fatigue. Bodyworks is an excellent clinic and the COVID protocols they use make it feel totally safe. I'd recommend this clinic and this treatment to others in the same position.

Fantastic experience: Today، ّّI took my five years old daughter to a 30 minutes Swedish Massage, My wee daughter liked it very much and liked the therapist Ashley :) It was awesome. As for myself I finished two blocks for Deep Tissue Massage and won't be the last. I highly recommend this place. Staff are professional and place is super clean.

She focused on the areas I felt more stiff and the beneficial effects of the massage were almost immediate. She also gave me some tips and exercises to prevent soreness coming back. Fantastic experience: After suffering with neck and shoulder pain and stiffness for sometime I decided to give Bodyworks a try. Ashleigh has done an amazing job and within a couple of sessions the pain has gone and the mobility has returned. I am so pleased with the results I shall be returning on a regular basis. The practice is extremely Covid secure - well done to Bodyworks for creating a very safe environment.

Fantastic experience: I booked in for a last minute appointment this weekend after suffering with pain for a few weeks now. Steven was very friendly and knowledgeable and identified the problem almost immediately. He worked on the problem area which was painful but then gave me relief which is so greatly appreciated. He also gave me some excercises to do at home to work on my hip strength. I Would definitely recommend and really appreciate that it’s open on a Sunday. All Covid measures strictly adhered to. Fantastic experience: I attended an appointment with the one of the physiotherapist Steven Glass for my back pain. He was really kind and understanding. I started to feel better after a few days and I´m still practising some of the excersises he reccommended to improve my upper back strengh. Really helpful!

Fantastic experience: It's been the second time I had a deep tissue massage given by Dimitra. During the first visit Dimitra asked me about the areas that were bothering me. She seemed knowledgeable and professional, and made me feel at ease during the massage. I was very satisfied with the massage, both of the times I visited. The pressure was perfect, and she did really work on my knots. With my second visit, I've already noticed the reduction in tightness of my muscles. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I had a 60 minute deep tissue remedial massage with Ashleigh today and it was exactly what I needed. The place is lovely bright and very clean. I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The session was focused on releasing tension and she worked with depth and precision all the areas that needed attention and some I didn't even know needed it. Being a massage therapist myself it's always great when you have someone work on you that has great skill and complete confidence. Ashleigh made me feel very at ease. Fantastic experience: I've struggled with trapped nerve for few months, pain was going and coming back every now and again. I've never been to physio and I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't know what would be best to start with - should i go straight for the sports massage or get somebody to look at it first? I've emailed Bodyworks and got answer pretty much instantly. In fact they have great communication - really fast and always happy to advise. My physio initial was with Bertie - very friendly and 100% professional man. He asked me many questions, examined my back, detected the problem, recommended some exercise and pretty much told me what to do next. Honestly, this visit gave me peace of mind and now few days later and sticking to my exercise i can already tell the difference. So thank you very much Bertie and Bodyworks. I'll be back in a couple of weeks for my first sports massage this time.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a 90min deep tissue massage yesterday evening, and I could not have asked for something better! Yair is incredibly skilled and got rid of all the pesky knots in my back and shoulders. Despite the post-massage soreness, I feel very limber and rested (which I haven't in a while!) I am so grateful for this amazing place and its staff, and I look forward to going back soon! Cannot recommend it enough!

Fantastic experience: Had a great sports massage today with Ashleigh after picking up an injury through running. She was well prepared and had a good knowledge of my previous physio appointment. The massage was as good as a sports massage gets, painful but i feel great now. She was very friendly and was able to give me good advice on recovery and prevention of future injuries. Fantastic experience: I went for a deep tissue massage to help with a sore back I had been suffering with. Not only was the massage great for freeing up my back, shoulders and chest, I was also given some exercises to help strengthen the areas which were causing the back pain. Every step of the process was explained really well and I cannot recommend Bodyworks highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I can highly recommend Bodyworks. I was there for a long overdue Deep Tissue Massage which was duly delivered by Daniel. Plenty of effort was put in to remove the tension stored in my upper back. I also received advice on exercises to help avoid the build up of all the tension in my neck and back.

Fantastic experience: Mel was very knowledgeable and very firm. I've been to a couple of others to attend to my shoulder issue but none that have gone through it so systematically. Also gave me some follow on exercises. If you spend too much time in a sedentary position at work and are feeling tense as a result go see Mel.

Fantastic experience: Had a great deep tissue remedial massage with Matt . He helped ease the majority of the tension in my back,shoulders and neck as well as giving me exercises/stretches to help strengthen and improve. Great place and couldn't recommend more!

Fantastic experience: Great service. I had a chronic hip pain that I was seeking to get to the bottom of and Mel was able to point to the problem muscles and spent a lot of time explaining to me the exercises and stretches I could do to manage it in the long term. She was great.

Fantastic experience: I booked in for a block booking of three one hour long lymphatic drainage massages. My massage therapist was really lovely and friendly and the massage itself was relaxing and uplifting, leaving a lightness in the body by the end of it. Great prices and very professional. Fantastic experience: Exceptional team here. Customer care even before my first appointment was great. I called early on a Sunday morning after a running injury the afternoon previous .. They call straight back with advice ahead of my appointment slot which was easily made online. The subsequent diagnosis and treatment has been professional, knowledgeable and effective. Physio with Raul has taught me a lot about myself and my approach to my training...most importantly he has taught me not to slack on the stretching!!! The best focused massage !!

Fantastic experience: I had a 60 minute pregnancy massage with Jade and it was just what I needed. She is lovely and made sure she worked on any problem areas. So relaxing and has definitely improved my mood, will be booking in again. Very reasonable prices too.
