Fantastic experience: I have been in significant discomfort for several months following a car crash. My neck and shoulders have been causing me so much pain and despite having physiotherapy and sports massages for months, nothing seemed to help - until now! I have seen Ian twice and can honestly say that his treatments are amazing. I now have most of my range of movements back in my neck and I no longer take tablets daily. I totally understand it isn't a 'quick fix' and I will continue some maintenance treatments but the difference was instant. Ian comes very highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I am a very plus size woman and had been suffering with severe back pain for months. The pain was waking me up every night and effecting everyday life. My doctor told me it was chronic pain which would only go if I lost weight. A family member told me to go and see Ian who they highly recommended and told me how much he had helped them. I was reluctant at first, mainly because I was embarrassed and believed nothing could be done and because of my size, but the pain was getting unbearable and I needed help. Ian was (and continues to be) amazing! He is so lovely, and was able to identify the issue and give treatment options. I am having regular treatment and I can already feel the difference. I feel like a whole new person. I’m sleeping better and moving around much easier which is being noticed by everyone around me.

Fantastic experience: Ian discovered the causeof my dizzy spells as being a a problem stemming from the two top vertebrae in my neck, 2 sessions later problem solved, I just attend every 2/3 weeks for a follow up. I'd recommend Ian Hodgson for any problem without reservation

Fantastic experience: After nearly 3 years of suffering from sciatica and 2 MRI scans showing bulging disc, on medication of Gabapentin , Anti inflamatories and Codeine, I was still in great pain. I couldn't sleep, couldn't walk for more than a few minutes without resting, I went to see Ian at Crosby Chiropractice in St. Johns Road. Ian treated me for about 4 months, April till July, by which time I was back playing golf twice a week, even three day competitions. I was able to stop all medication, and was now sleeping like a baby. I have just been back in December, for a check over and I am doing great. Fantastic experience: Visited Ian four weeks ago regarding chronic headaches and migraines which started when I was 14 years of age , I’m now 58 I’ve had every type of treatment available to me And nothing has worked until I met Ian , Diagnosed the problem And got to work and in four weeks, I’ve only had three headaches Bearing in mind I’ve had more or less a headache every day since I was 14 this Is a life changing.. Fantastic experience: As a professional guitarist who was told by a doctor after serious car accident that I wouldn't be able to perform again I found myself looking at a difficult and uncertain future. After exhausting what I thought was every method to improve my situation my last straw was a chiropractic consultation so I booked in at Crosby chiropractic. Honestly my life has now changed dramatically for the better after being treated by Ian over the past few months and I'm back doing what I love!!! Fantastic experience: Great clinic - had neck pain and headaches for months, more or less every day. First session, with Ian, was 4 weeks ago and massive improvement with no headaches since. Back for second treatment today and will schedule in more. Excellent place with super friendly staff.

Negative experience: I booked in my wife for the initial consultation at the very end of December 2023. She has a many months lasting issue with her lower back and she was told by Ian at her first session that he can see (feel) the issue clearly and that this could be rectified within the next 3 visits. 3 visits later, her back was hurting more than before the first visit, so we stopped the sessions. It's been now 6 weeks after the last session and her back is still not any better than it was before we went there for the initial session and consultation - it's actually slightly worse. The other thing I'd like to mention is that the actual sessions last 15 minutes at most and this include changing/taking off clothes etc. I personally thought that the sessions would last longer. This is my most honest experience and I'm not suggesting anything. Most people may have great results after treatments, but unfortunately they did more harm to us than improvement. Otherwise the clinic looks nice and clean and the receptionist is doing a great job and she is friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I started having pelvic pain at around 12 weeks pregnant, to the point were I was struggling to walk, get up and down the stairs and drive. I went to see Ian who did some "baby safe" adjustments, gave me some stretches to do and within 3 sessions my pain is almost non existent! Fantastic experience: Couldn't recommend Naomh the Sports Therapist more! First session I was anxious as I've never had a massage before, but she made me feel welcome and at ease. I don't visit half as often as I should, but it's always a really nice treat to be here - especially when your aches and pains are alleviated by treatment.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs! Appalling service. Arrived with my 87 yr old Mum for an appointment confirmed by SMS the day before. Mum was in severe pain. I was told that due to a system error the appointment had been cancelled, however, the doctor might be back from his lunch in an hour if I'd like to wait in a local coffee shop. I'm self employed so I lost a day's earnings. Mum still in pain. No apology from indifferent receptionist until I pointed it out. This is not the only review like this. IGNORE AT YOUR OWN PERIL!

Fantastic experience: Reassuring my below statement: Excellent practice, I came as unbeliever, no faith and all that have change completely. I am a different person from the first appointment, now I have recover my hope, my health have improved very much, I fell well and will keep improving for sure. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Ian and Crosby Chiropractic enough! After suffering with back pain for most of my teenage years and my whole adult life (now 28 yrs old) and being sent for multiple physio sessions and given various pain medication with no real success, a family member booked a consultation with Ian for me and it has honestly changed my life! After just the first session with Ian I stepped out of the practice and cried tears of relief, I can walk and stand up straight without the pain and pressure I had before. I would feel weak like my lower back couldn’t support me standing up or walking for long and after just that first session I feel like a new person! If you’re wondering whether this is worth trying for yourself please do it, it works!! The whole experience has been great, Ian is brilliant making sure you’re always at ease and comfortable, knew how to help me straight from the off and there’s lots of smiles and laughs along the way too! Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Ian at this practise, Absolutely amazing!! After a long time putting off getting myself fixed, the years of battering in the gym, martial arts and working outdoors it was taking its toll on my body, the chronic back pain, tight hamstrings, zero flexibility and other related ailments, I decided to see Ian against all the chiropractic horror stories I'd heard in the past (partly the reason I'd put it off for so long) From the off you can tell this practice isn't a money chaser. They don't want to see you numerous times, other than the time in between letting your body readjust to the new spaces, because in their eyes you haven't been fixed! I'd tried Physio treatments many times before which fixed the problem temporarily but after a week or so the issues returned. I then realised, Maybe its not a muscular problem maybe its the framework.. After only 3 appointments Ian was able to tell exactly what was wrong, which way my pelvis was rotated and which way I needed to be. Needless to say I have finally regained my flexibility, no longer have the back pain or tight hamstrings and even when I do (through doing too much) Ian's various stretches sorts it right out! Please don't be put of with all the horror stories you hear. It's money well spent when I compare it to the amount of money I've spent on painkiller over the years. Thank you so much!!

Fantastic experience: I've been suffering from bad neck and back pain for along time now,I think stemmed from a car crash some years ago. The first day Michael and I met I didn't know what to expect,but he didn't disappoint,I have been going to Michael for a few weeks now,and I feel amazing,he knows what he is doing for sure,apart from having healing hands he is very professional and a interesting person to speak to,also the reception staff are a credit to the company,also very professional and friendly

Fantastic experience: I have suffered back pain for the last 12 years and every time I’ve been to a doctor I just get given more and more painkillers that just mask the problem. I haven’t been able to stand straight, bend down, walk properly, get up and out of a chair, or do any normal day to day tasks without severe pain for all these years. I had my first consultation with Ian last week who was able to identify my issue on the spot, and I have had my second appointment this week. After just 2 appointments I have already seen a massive improvement and can say my pain has reduced by a good 50% already, I just wished I’d have found Ian sooner. He has a great sense of humour too which makes you relaxed during appointments. He’s given me my life back already and I can’t thank him enough. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I've had a shoulder problem for 10years+ I just put it down to the amount of driving I was doing at work (taxi driver now courier) until the problem started to effect my arm and preventing me from sleeping and sitting in certain positions. After 5 sessions my problem has gone completely gone. After each session the pain and ache gradually subsided until it has totally gone. Any doubts on chiropractors working give this place a chance I'm now pain free! Excellent treatment that you feel working from 1st session and doesn't cost the earth. Fantastic experience: After enduring back pain for almost twenty years with it often seeming to 'click' out of place around the pelvis area causing severe pain and unable to stand straight for several weeks, and the doctor saying "take pain killers and do some exercises," I was recommended a Chiropractor called Dr. Ian Hodgson at Crosby and City Chiropractic in St. John's Road, Waterloo, and I can honestly say it is a transformation. Before, I couldn't stand for more than a few minutes without needing something to lean on or having to sit down, laying in the same position for too long would become uncomfortable, I couldn't even sneeze without having to hold onto something as pain would shoot down my back and cause my knees to buckle, and these were just a few of the problems, but now my back gives me no pain and I can enjoy freedom of movement. I would highly recommend this man.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing decision I made going to crosby chiropractic. Mike has helped me regain mobility and has helped significantly improve my symptoms, during a very debilitating time in my life. I've been suffering with extreme vertigo and nausea for months. (poss due to chronic vestibular migraines.) This has lead to months of intense pain and reduced movement of my neck and back. Since visiting the clinic and following advice, such as, balance exercises and stretches. I am seeing continued improvements in my mobility and my symptoms are dramatically improved after every visit. TL:DR Mike's a wizard

Fantastic experience: I've suffered bouts of severe tensions headaches on and off for more than 18 years and have been treating them with all kinds -prescriptions, OTC medication, acupuncture, massage meditiation... When they are bad they make daily life extremely difficult as I find the pain impossible to mentally step back from. In Summer 2021 in the middle of a severe and prolonged cycle of pain, I found that I didn't want to increase my prescription (again) and wanted to try a complementary therapy alongside the work I was doing with my GP. Ian's consultation really got to the heart of the mechanical issues and (and this I think has been really important for me) has explained what's happening under the skin, what he can do to manipulate the bones into a better positioning, and how all this may help reduce my pain. This isn't a quick fix and my headaches aren't gone. We're looking to reduce intensity and frequency of the headaches and over the last 3-4 months we have really managed that. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Ever since I started going to Michael at Crosby Chiropractic I have seen a huge change in myself; I'm in a lot less pain (6/7 says I get no pain before I was in agony every day), my posture has changed dramatically, and my mental well-being has improved greatly, I think not only having reduced pain helps but being able to go out with my family and friends for longer periods of time, going the gym and swimming and even work has been better :)

Fantastic experience: Bodybuilder Now Crossfitter. I've been training for 22 years and have spent many years working through injury's aches and pains, popping pain killers just to get through the next gym session at the gym. Sliding out of the bed sideways and Finding new and unique ways to put my socks on. About two weeks ago I'd had enough and decided that I needed to end this cartwheel of s**t. So I looked up chiropractors and as luck would have I had one right on my doorstep lol. After making my booking I was seen very quickly . As with all things in life I'm a skeptic until proven otherwise . I spoke with Ian who was very friendly knowledgeable and very well exsperienced. After a thorough assessment. Ian began with my. Corrections after my first session I walked out like a different person I could move my neck with very little pain and my lower back felt great it's been years since my back has felt this good. After my second visit I had another adjustment and the first thing I noticed when I woke up was I didn't have to get up in a specific way I just got up .Ian gave some great stretches to do everyday.for all the bodybuilders athletes this is a excellent addition to your life wish I'd done it years ago . Fantastic experience: I hurt my lower back lifting in work. Spent a couple of months in agony and visiting the Dr's with no success. Feeling like it wasn't getting any better....I searched for a local chiropractor, read some reviews on Crosby Chiropractic and booked an appointment to see Ian. I had read similar reviews explaining others had similar issues with really good results and hoped I would get a similar outcome. Within 10 minutes Ian told me what the issue was and made some adjustments to start fixing it. The difference just after one session was amazing... The sense of relief of not being in pain and now managing to get decent sleep has left me feeling a lot better. I went from not being able to walk 100m without being in agony to being able to walk decent distances again pretty much instantly. I've been back for another session since and have got a couple of good stretches to help even more. My only regret was not going sooner and suffering for two months. I'd recommend Crosby Chiropratic to anyone who is struggling and wondering where to go for help with their back. Fantastic experience: Went to see Ian after having worsening back pain for over 12 months following an injury. I was unable to stand for more than 30 minutes without pain, and my back would regularly seize up in the night leaving me unable to easily move. After the first session there was a significant improvement and feeling absolutley amazing after 3 sessions! Not only do you get the hands on treatment you need but recommending stretches and exercises to maintain. Cannot recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: I'm currently pregnant, have been experiencing serious pelvic pain and walking was becoming difficult. I was referred for physio but could only have a virtual appointment due to covid. Out of desperation I booked a chiropractor appointment having not been to one before as was told it could help. After 2 appointments I noticed a huge improvement and after 4 appointments I'm in 90% less pain. Ian also gave me exercises to do twice a day between appointments. I'm now 30 weeks pregnant and can't believe the difference in my pain levels, mobility and wellbeing. The only time I'm uncomfortable/have pelvic pain now is when I sit too long or lay too long in one position. I had also been having headaches but hadn't mentioned this, Ian adjusted my neck the last two appointments and my headaches have disappeared. What I appreciate the most is Ian's approach is to get me to a place where I need to see him less to maintain my adjustments. I've already moved from weekly to monthly appointments which is great. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend chiropractic adjustments to anyone pregnant. It's been a really positive experience for me.

Fantastic experience: Had issues with the medical profession diagnosing and treating conditions previously, but this was totally different. A diagnosis and treatment all in the first appointment, could not have wished for more. Well on the road to recovery thanks to them.

Fantastic experience: I first went to see Ian a few months ago following dizziness, balance issues and headaches that had been associated with 'labrynthitis'. Ian was careful to look fully into my history and started treatment. Subsequently, this has greatly helped ease these symptoms at the same time as rectifying neck problems and flexibilty, improving these greatly and reducing pain. Ian is very professional and explains things carefully at each stage. I can't recommend highly enough.

When I first went I was in a lot pain, not able to sleep properly, unable to walk more than 10 yards before having to stop,not able to stand for more than a minute, life was not pleaseant. Within the first 20 minutes of my appointment with Ian I was diagnosed.Over time I can now play with my kids,go for a run and play golf again. Fantastic experience: After 15 years of chronic migraine, I haven't had a single migraine in over a month after being treated by Dr Ian Hodgson at Crosby Chiropractic! Who knew that seeing a chiropractor would relieve migraines? I didn't! I booked my first appointment in mid october for lower back and neck pain - something I've suffered with for years. Ian took note of and understood all of my symptoms, not just the pain - my migraines, headaches, tinnitus, vertigo...and he told me very early on that he comes across these symptoms a lot and that he believed he could help....and I nodded along but thought 'as if that's going to happen!' because I was diagnosed with chronic migraine and vertigo years ago, after being debilitated by this on a weekly and sometimes daily basis since I was 14 years old. Around 3 sessions in, my back and neck were much better but my migraines weren't, I nearly stopped going to Ian but persisted (as did he) and now, I'm 5 sessions in since my initial consultation and I haven't had a single migraine in over a month!!! I've been exposed to all my usual triggers - stress, lighting, smells, food...the list goes on....and no migraines or tinnitus! Still a touch of vertigo but I can handle it now on it's own. I am over the moon and in a bit of shock. Thank you Ian - you are fantastic at what you do!
