Fantastic experience: March 2026 - Have had a knee problem since Nov 2025. Outside of knee was painful when walking downhill. Melanie treated my knee for a tight IT band, gave me some stretching/strengthening exercises and advice. 2 days later I did a hilly walk with almost no pain. Very happy! If I could give Melanie 6 stars I would! June 2025 - Functional Medicine Review. Melanie is helping me with an arterial plaque problem. Following several tests she is advising on lifestyle changes and supplements to decrease the plaque. I'm very optimistic and excited about the outcome. Fantastic experience: Melanie has saved my life. When I first went to see her, I could hardly walk and as a consequence was getting fatter making the problem worse with my general health and fitness also suffering badly. My problems were caused by many injuries sustained over 40 years. Getting to work became a big problem. Melanie did a comprehensive examination which revealed that I had several problem areas (when I thought I had only one). She drew up a plan and over the next few weeks worked on me and got me mobile again. That was 9 or 10 years ago. My health and fitness is still improving gradually all the time. The damage to my skeleton is permanent but I can now walk a lot easier. As I am permanently broken I still need to see Melanie every six weeks or so. Fantastic experience: I came to Melanie in quite a panic after tweaking my back for the first time. It was quite a leap of faith and I was in a lot of pain As soon as we started talking I felt so relieved, as I could feel a sense of wisdom in her voice and I knew I was in safe hands despite the pain I was in. Negative experience: Expensive initial consultation. Nothing majorly wrong, and other chiropractors have treated me previously. They insisted that I had to undergo an x-ray before starting any treatment. The x-ray was at another site, and another expense. Didn't even undertake an initial examination of me. Just a way of making money out of you. Waste of money and I went somewhere else for treatment.

Fantastic experience: My experience of the Cliffs Chiropractic team goes back some years when suffering extreme inhibiting lower back / muscle spasm pain. Having no prior knowledge of the chiropractic procedure, I was, to say the least, very apprehensive . My fears were totally unfounded. The caring professional attitude and welcome I received, put me immediately at ease. Following a thorough examination, an explanation for the cause of my problem was given . The subsequent, painless treatment, provided me with virtually immediate relief, giving me the assurance, I was using the right remedial procedure. Regular attendance, has kept me free of the horrible pain and discomfort once experienced. Exercise techniques and herbal recommendations have also helped with digestive and stress related problems. It is also a great comfort to know that advice is always readily available over the phone. Melanie will know your case history even on Sunday evening, she will not hang up!! I was experiencing an incredible level of pain, the Dr had prescribed pain killers that had no effect. I then took myself to A&E who just wanted to up the dosage and made little effort to diagnose the issue. My wife had recently attended Natural Chiropractic and asked if I could be squeezed in. I was a little apprehensive after my A&E experience but after only a few minutes Melanie had diagnosed that two of my upper vertebrae had locked together. Melanie then manipulated my neck, freeing the vertebrae and stopping the constant muscle spasms. Within two days the pain had almost completely subsided. Fantastic experience: I’ve chosen to write this review, as I would like to reassure others that there is help out there. Here’s my story. I first met Melanie in the early 90’s after being involved in a severe car accident. She treated me as a young adult and the treatment worked. Many years later (as with a lot of old whiplash injuries) I was experiencing pain in that specific area. The pain was getting worse and worse. I started to find everyday things like, lifting, sitting at my desk or just sitting on the sofa? Was starting to cause me great discomfort. I couldn’t even find a comfortable position to sleep in? My neck and all of my top left hand side was getting progressively worse. So much so, it got to a point it was unbearable! Fortunately, for me, Melanie was still practicing. Even more fortunately, I managed to find her at the Natural Chiropractic Clinic. When I first came to the clinic, I was in so much pain. I couldn’t concentrate, I was at such a low ebb and my life felt like it had no quality anymore. To be honest, it didn’t even feel like my life? Everyday I was battling with the same consistent pain. Making me, angry, tearful and so uptight. It was hell! As soon as I stepped through the doors of this clean, modern clinic. I was greeted by a kind member of staff and I met Melanie again. Not only was Melanie kind and compassionate to my situation. Her knowledge and professionalism reassured me I was in safe hands. Melanie, ran a few tests of her own and I was lucky enough to get X-rays that same day. Within 2 days, I had a diagnosis. Melanie explained to me, in great detail, what the pain was, what had caused it, ( I had no idea what damage an old injury could do years later?!...) and most importantly, she could still treat it. I feel so lucky to have crossed paths with Melanie again. She helped me then and she continues to help me now. My pain is diminishing and my quality of life returning. Shockingly, had I have left it much longer, there is a possibility the cause would be so much harder to treat. Sadly, my X-rays showed quite extensive damage. I would encourage anyone with a back/neck problem to seek help from a chiropractor, sooner rather than later. My pain was causing, numbness and burning in my arm. I was living on painkillers and the doctors only prescribed me more. I don’t blame them, when you can’t see damage or obvious injury to many, it’s like it doesn’t exist?...Only you yourself feel the everyday struggle. The Natural Chiropractic Clinic made me feel welcome and understood. Most importantly Melanie knew exactly what treatment I needed and made that constant, unbearable pain stop. Four treatments later. I’m able to sleep again and sit again! (Yes, things taken so much for granted) And with regular checkups, I can live a normal life again. Fantastic experience: I have suffered from lower back problems for many years and more recently bad headaches which were slowly getting worse. I have seen numerous back specialists over the years but decided to try one last time to rectify the problems. A friend recommended Melanie, I checked the excellent reviews and decided to seek her professional opinion. I saw her on the Tuesday for an assessment and by the Friday I'd had an x-ray and was commencing treatment. Melanie explained what the problem was in my back and neck and gave me exercises which Christian downloaded to my phone. I have now had six treatments with Melanie and cannot praise her highly enough. I have been 5 days without headaches and have much more movement in my lower back and no backaches for the last three days. Fantastic experience: I decided to visit Melanie after sensing something was seriously wrong with my lower back - I did not want to wait weeks for a referral on the NHS. I was impressed with the personal interest shown, and soon felt confident that Melanie would be able to prevent further damage to my back and get me 'back to normal'. I was sent for x rays and my fears were confirmed. Melanie reassured me that she would be able to control further degeneration as long as I play my part. The treatments are gradually loosening my back up and I have been given bespoke exercises to aid recovery which I really appreciate. So a big 'thank you' to Melanie and her friendly receptionists.

Fantastic experience: I have suffered with back pain for years and, more recently, developed neck and shoulder pain. Despite many different treatments, no one diagnosed the cause or managed the pain. I decided then to try a chiropractor and am so glad I did. After a comprehensive examination and history taking, I had X-rays and Melanie then offered a full explanation of the cause of my pain and recommended a treatment plan. As I have a chronic degenerative condition, I wasn’t expecting too much, however I am now virtually pain free. Being fully informed I have been able to make changes to my lifestyle, which, combined with treatments, have transformed my life with pain becoming the exception rather than the norm.

Fantastic experience: I went to see Melanie with a terrible pain in my leg. She is very thorough, I had X-rays first to ascertain what exactly was wrong and after several treatments of acupuncture and massages, followed by exercises which Melanie showed me I am now out of pain. I would recommend Melanie to any of my friends without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Melanie with a certain amount of reservation as I had been to a chiropractor in the past and felt it had been a waste of money. I had also had a lot of physiotherapy on the NHS at different times and this had never dealt with my pain. Melanie did a very complete investigation into my neck and shoulder pain - including X-rays - and worked out exactly what was happening to cause my problem. I had a full explanation from her as to what was going on in my neck and felt more informed than I ever have about my particular issue. I have only had a few weeks of treatment but the effect has been dramatic. I now only have a little discomfort in my neck but Melanie is still working on this and believes it can be dealt with. The best thing is that I no longer take ibuprofen - or any other painkiller - every day as I was doing before. I am now also starting to visit Melanie for herbal medicine advice to deal with other health issues I have. I would not hesitate to recommend Melanie and her team to others.

Fantastic experience: Mel is an absolutely brilliant Chiropractor. Was suffering with regular migraine headaches for months. Mel identified the problem immediately and within a few weeks the headaches had lessened in regularity and severity and within 2 months, gone completely.
