Fantastic experience: I had been suffering from back pain for quite some time and had started to become progressively worse. Kevin was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad I made the appointment. Kevin put me at ease and was able to pinpoint straight away where and what the issue was and explaining all the time as he provided treatment. A few sessions later and along with some exercises to do at home, my back was much improved. I highly recommend Kevin and Athletica.

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Athletica Physiotherapy high enough. My recent sessions with Lucy to enable me to recover my mobility after a replacement knee operation were brilliantly effective. The advice, targeted exercises and general encouragement were just what I needed. Yes, you do have to work to achieve success but it was worth it. I can now walk without pain and cycle normally. The operation was in Sept 25 and now in April 26, thanks to Lucy’s input, normal life has been restored!

Fantastic experience: I was recommended Kevin at Athletica as I was dissatisfied and lacked confidence in my NHS plan following an Achilles tendon rupture. Kevin transformed my attitude from the first consultation. A really clear plan, an honest appraisal and a good rapport. I just finished my time with him after 5 months of work. I have just completed an outdoor 5k run some 6-8 weeks ahead of schedule. Hugely grateful and impressed.

Fantastic experience: Vani is incredible. I have stage 4 endometriosis growing on my bowel, behind my uterus and on various ligaments. This has left me in constant, complex pain all down the left side of my body for the past year. Vani has worked tirelessly to help significantly reduce my pain particularly in my hip, piriformis and left leg and I’ve even been able to reintroduce some gentle exercise thanks to her. Not only she is talented, she is also so lovely and has been amazing during a really tough time. I can’t recommend her enough.

Fantastic experience: I visited Kevin a few weeks ago for a gym related chest/shoulder injury. I couldn't recommend him more, he took time to listen to what had happened, evaluated what had the issue was and provided me with treatment there and then and gave me a list of exercises to do at home. He helped me to understand the cause of the injuries and how I could take some control to resolve them and return back to normal activities. Recommended for everyone.

Fantastic experience: Booked an appointment with Lucy as I had spinal surgery 5 weeks ago and was given little direction by the hospital physio about building up to be able to get back to cycling. Lucy was really good, got my incredibly stiff back moving and explained how best to start exercising to build up my back and core strength, so I can get riding again! Back for my next appointment next week. Excited to get moving!

Fantastic experience: Saw Connor 4 times for a knee problem. Very professional but also very personable. Can’t honestly say I enjoyed the strength tests, but it was good to see a visual representation of the progress that was made. Highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: Can't recommend highly enough - Genuinely life changing experience with Kevin and the team. Persistent back pain solved within a week, with tools, techniques and education given to manage against reoccurrence but also strategies on how to manage issues if they do repeat. Just wish i had gone to see Kevin 20 years ago (ok he might have still been in short trousers back then, but you get the point)

Fantastic experience: I went to see Kevin after struggling for months with a sore elbow which began to impact on my daily life. He diagnosed it as tennis elbow and explained what had happened to my body and the treatment he recommended. After a few weeks of doing the exercises, the symptoms had improved. I saw Kevin again and he assured me that I had made progress and although it will be a long recovery if I keep on with my treatment I should be pain and injury free. I especially appreciated the way Kevin explained everything and made me feel confident about recovering from injury. Thanks for helping me tackle this. I just wish I'd gone to see Kevin sooner!

Fantastic experience: I'm really pleased that friends recommended Athletica to me when pains began in my right hip. I was a little apprehensive about my first visit to a physiotherapist, but Dr Vani Grewal was very pleasant and easy to talk to. Her assessment of the problem was very thorough, and the programme of exercises that she prescribed brought about an improvement surprisingly quickly. Three weeks on, the pains have gone and I am back to normal - and I have an exercise plan that I can use to try to minimise the risk of problems developing in the future.

Fantastic experience: - Seen Kevin in the past with a back injury, after seeing multiple physiotherapist and drs before hand wasn't getting anywhere. Made instant progress after an appointment with Kevin, and was amazed that within a short period of time I was back to my heavy job and weight training. - Just recently got tendinopathy in my biceps after over exerting the tendons. Got booked in with Kevin and same again had me back to it in no time despite been told 6-8 weeks by GP prior. Been to lots of physios in the past but none compare to here. Will go nowhere else, highly recommend, can't thank you enough

Fantastic experience: I saw Connor for 2 physiotherapy sessions to diagnose and treat my knee pain. Very professional service but we also had a good laugh. He did in depth strength testing and explained the results to help me understand my weaknesses. Booked in follow up to re-test strength and for some muscle release work. Fantastic sessions, knee pain has now gone and I have a set of exercises to do going forward. I would highly recommend booking in with Connor if you have any musculoskeletal problems!

Fantastic experience: Dr Vani was brilliant! For 2 months I’d had a constant pain in my shoulder, my arm felt weak all the time and I could no longer lie on that side to sleep. After one session - the pain was no longer constant. Amazing! And meant I could get back to life without pain as a constant distraction. Fantastic experience: Lucy treated our son who was suffering with a stress response in his back due to pace bowling at cricket. She was very knowledgeable about the injury itself and the mechanism involved with bowling. She has helped him become pain free very quickly and then went the extra mile when handing over to his coaches. Lucy also has a wonderful bedside manner and treated him with just the right amount of compassion and understanding, helping him deal with news he didn't want to hear and explaining at just the right level why he couldn't rush the treatment or return to sport too quickly. We couldn't have asked for more.

Fantastic experience: My partner is recovering from a complicated fracture of my lower leg. To help get back dancing on a stage and horse riding he has had a few sessions with Lucy. These have really made a difference. She has shown a good understanding of what is needed, provided advice and encouragement, and given targeted exercises tailored to achieve results. Conor was great - he spent time to listen and make sure he understood my experience with the pain and also what I wanted to get from the treatment. Fantastic experience: Lucy has been treating me for back pain which for me is a long term problem. After approximately 6 spaced out visits I have begun to feel a change. Actually almost immediately I found I had more movement in my back and hips, and my lower back in general feels more at ease than it has for a good while. Fantastic experience: Kevin is fantastic. He is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I’d had pain for a long time which Kevin was able to properly identify and then help me re-stabilise the area, meaning I could get on the road to recovery.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended physio - got me back on the football pitch and hopefully to football college in the USA. Kevin was recommended to me by the surgeon at Nuffield Health following ACL & ALL reconstruction and meniscus repair as my plans to get a football scholarship had been shattered following injury and needed to get myself match ready again as quickly as possible in a controlled manner following surgery. Whilst a physio was included within the surgery my consultant felt I would benefit from Kevin's specialist expertise with professional footballers and other sports people. Kevin worked me hard and took me through a detailed recovery programme making necessary adjustments along the way. He used his contacts to ensure I had all the support I needed to get me where I needed to be, which I was really grateful for. Not only did he help me with the physical side of recovery but also with my confidence paying particular attention to my mental health at all times. He always demonstrated care and brought humour to our sessions. My dad sat in on the sessions too and having also had a meniscus tear in his knee and a course of physio in the past, said he had learnt a lot from Kevin's sessions and having been seen by a number of physios previously, confirmed he was the best he had encountered.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant service and Kev is just so super helpful and knowledgeable. They have helped my son recover from a pars defect on the bottom of his spine and with their expertise and advice over the past few months this has been achieved and we are so grateful for everything. Fantastic experience: Hi there - I’ve had appointments with Katey on several occasions for different injuries : to my wrist and foot ligament injury. Katey always listens very carefully to the background of the injury and provides a thorough assessment. She has extensive and expert knowledge and skills on what is needed to recover the injury but always talks it through in a relaxed way which makes it easy to understand. I’m always confident that the work she does and the programme she designs will support my recovery- I would highly recommend Katey to any future clients.

Fantastic experience: I saw Kevin for physio to my shoulder following a bike accident and clavicle fracture with subsequent shoulder impingement. He worked with me for 6 months to get the shoulder moving again. Kevin is so knowledgeable, and I left with a whole load of exercises and tips for continued shoulder health. He is a lovely friendly chap to boot!

After an initial visit the same week Katy Identified my problems quickly and was able to give me the right exercises to start to help me deal with my condition . I ad weekly appointments with Katy of several weeks there after and by progressive development of an exercise program Katy freed my back up a great deal . Since following the advice given and maintaining the structured exercise program provided my back pain is now manageable. Fantastic experience: I've been going to Katy at Athletica for about a year now to help with chronic muscle tightness and pain, alongside the aftereffects of nerve damage from a slipped disc. She's always great at figuring out the source of the problem and ways of alleviating the issue. I've been to several different physios over the years, and I can honestly recommend Katy.

Fantastic experience: In 2016, in my late 50's, I severely fractured my L. tibial plateau. I was given exercises by the NHS but learned later that these were designed to get me "back to basics". Since then, I have persevered with the legacy of the fracture - tired muscles, achey joint - and accepted that my age was a factor in the discomfort. Late last year an ankle injury to the same leg left me feeling hopeless and lacking in confidence. Lucy quickly diagnosed the problem with my ankle and took the history of injury to that leg into account. She prescribed exercises that cleared up the ankle issue within days, and which are continuing to benefit my knee and my back. Lucy's knowlege of the internal structures of the body is phenomenal. Thanks to her, these physical improvements have also had a beneficial effect on my mental health - realising that I have some control, I feel more confident, energetic and hopeful.

Went to see him with a very painful neck and after just one appointment the range of movement I had got back and the improvement in my pain was amazing. He gave me an exercise and stretching program as well as showing me self-management strategies in case it happened again. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back again if needed!

Fantastic experience: I had a bad knee injury, which had been ongoing for a lot of months due to work and sport. I found athletica after months of trying to get it fixed by other professionals. After receiving treatment and the exercise programmes my knee is back to normal. I can’t thank Kev and all the athletica team enough, I recommend to all my family and friends!!

Fantastic experience: I broke my left ankle and had surgery in April 2024. With a few friends’ recommendation, I reached out to Lucy at Athletica to start planning for my rehab. Lucy was incredibly helpful and supportive when I couldn’t access the support I needed from the NHS system, and we started my physio as soon as I could bear weight. Lucy is knowledgeable and proactive - my ankle definitely benefits from the exercise, massages and acupuncture she has given me. She also encouraged and reassured me when the rehab was tough. By December some of my friends and family had forgotten about my injury because I was walking fine and bouldering again. Without her expertise, I wouldn’t have made such progress and got discharged today. I’m really grateful for Lucy’s expertise and care!

Fantastic experience: I really can’t say enough about how fantastic Kev and his team are. I first met Kev in 2022 on the morning of my first ultra marathon. I was feeing a niggle in my calf so I went to see him before the race. Whatever magic he did (a mix of message and tapping) did the trick! So when I tore my ACL and needed some post surgery rehab I knew who I had to call. From my first appointment with Katie (March 2024) to the next 10 months working with Kev I became stronger emotionally and physically. ACL rehab is not linear. I had a lot of ups and downs. Kev was there every step of the way. He pushed me, gave me confidence and was always there to put things in perspective when I was down. I’m now back doing what I love. I honestly don’t think I’d be where I am today without him.

Fantastic experience: I visited Athletica Clinic a couple of times, and they really helped me recover. Dr. Vani Grewal is a wonderful person, very cheerful, and most importantly, she did an amazing job. She got me back in great shape. What a fantastic physiotherapist! The stretching program she prepared for me is simple yet brilliant. It worked very well, after just a few days, I felt a big improvement, and the pain started to disappear. If I ever need physiotherapy again, I will definitely choose her. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had cause to visit Athletica Pyhsiotherapy on a few occasions and had my consultations with Kevin Able. I’m not normal a person who leaves reviews but I genuinely cannot recommend Althetica enough, Kevin has been able to pinpoint my exact needs each time.

Fantastic experience: Kev and the team are absolutely amazing! When I was injured doing a sport that I adore, Kev diagnosed the issue within minutes and relieved a lot of the symptoms in the first session (enough that I could get back to training). I left the session with a full rehab plan and an estimated timescale of how long the injury should take to fully heal. The rehab plan worked wonders and I was back to pretty much full capacity in less time than he estimated. I cannot recommend Kev and the team highly enough, they are magic.

Fantastic experience: Kev's great; his mens pilates classes are aimed at the areas that cause us bloke, particularly those are now a bit older and returning to sport, discomfort. It's a relaxed place to be able to talk, learn and improve your body.

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Kevin at Athletica Physiotherapy in October 2023 after suffering an acute injury to my L5, L4, and S1 discs. The pain was so severe that I ended up in the hospital after passing out, and I was left with debilitating sciatic nerve issues. Kevin’s expertise has been nothing short of life-changing. Over the course of our sessions, he worked with me tirelessly, tailoring each treatment plan to my specific needs. His deep knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to my recovery made a significant difference. By December 2024, after several months of hard work, I underwent another MRI, which showed impressive progress in reducing the herniated disc pressing on my sciatic nerve. Kevin's care has been instrumental in getting me back to a much better place—free from the constant pain that once ruled my life. Fantastic experience: Fixed in One Session! Amazing amazing. Came in unable to walk properly after a pilates injury was compounded by a long run. Left with an intensive rehab exercise schedule. Returned 4 weeks later and was told I could not only run again, but that I don't need to see Kev for any further sessions! The thoroughness of the initial assesment meant Kev prescribed the right programme of rehab and whilst I had to work hard at home to get the results it was through his guidance and knowledge that I'm fixed.
