Fantastic experience: Visited today for a 10 week regular treatment. Full assessment of my back issues and then treatment and manipulation done. Stiffness cleared. Also discussed reason for more than usual stiffness which could be related to a problem with my hip. Given advice as to what to do but if no improvement to go back for treatment on the hip. Henry was his usual happy self and I feel well looked after. Would strongly recommend to anyone with problems with joints or back pain.

The doctors told me it was sciatica and sent me on my way with lots of strong pain killers, I came to see Henry and after my assessment it turns out it wasn’t sciatica but a problem with my pelvis. after my first treatment I felt so much better it helped instantly. 4 sessions later and I feel all fixed. Fantastic experience: I have been coming to see Jonathan for dry needling on my knee since January 2025. I have had a replacement on the other knee but had no wish to go through that again so turned to Jonathan. I must say this treatment has been successful. I started coming twice a week then went onto every two weeks extended this to every three weeks and am now on monthly appointments. I am so pleased with my treatment (don’t feel a thing). Henry explained the problem in plain English and without medical jargon so I could actually appreciate and understand what he was passing on to me. Been every week since I walked in and seen continuous improvement since my first visit. What makes this a 5 star review and not a 4 is the first class customer serviced I have experienced since attending. Henry is superb and I have recommended him any chance I have gotten. Fantastic experience: I have been struggling with back issues for a number of years which has resulted in me finally accepting that I can probably not run at all anymore. My back was getting to the point that even walking recreationally was starting to cause me issues. However, after just one session with Henry Atkinson my back showed signs of improvement and I was able to go for a 13 mile run / walk in the North York Moors which felt so good. It has felt so good to have the ability to exercise pain-free again and I even completed the Hardmoors Ultra recently, a 30 mile trail run in the North York Moors. I will continue to see Henry to ensure that I can continue to enjoy walking and running in the hills!

Fantastic experience: I started visiting this place three months ago, not knowing whether they could help me at all, and was amazed at what a difference they have made. Henry was very professional and the improvement in my condition is amazing. Ongoing treatment is moving me a step forward each time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Positive experience: During the first 6 sessions I felt a vast improvement. The chiropractor and reception staff are lovely and friendly. I certainly would not rule out using again as the team are competent and caring. However treatment sessions are extremely short and it doesn’t leave much time to talk through concerns. I had 19 treatments in total and did raise (twice) when I had gone down to only 3-4 adjustments per session that I wasn’t feeling any difference (sessions 12-19). There was no solution other than to keep coming every couple of weeks otherwise I would “lose the benefit” of the treatments so far. I was starting to go backwards and I wasn’t offered any exercises at home as a compliment. I’m at another practice with longer sessions, an overall treatment plan, with physio to do at home. Acomb is a great practice but I would try to speak to them about the overall length of treatment in future.

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting Acomb Chiropractic Clinic for many years to maintain my back health and keep me free of some problems that I used to get. The practice is comfortable to visit and efficiently run with a good amount of parking space. Henry, one of the two chiropractors, is friendly, cheerful and capable. He has a great interest in his work and is happy to discuss it with you. He skilfully uses a number of techniques which help to loosen my lower back, mid-back, shoulders and neck. Various massage techniques are used at first, followed by a range of manipulations and a nice neck stretch. I always come away feeling released from tightness and refreshed.

Fantastic experience: Having had a 40+ year career in nursing I had some neck problems. When the pain and mobility of my neck got worse I visited the clinic. At first I had an intensive course of treatment, in a very short space of time I was pain free and my neck mobility had greatly improved. I now have monthly ‘neck maintenance’ which keeps me pain free and able to rotate my head. Jonathan and Matt have been brilliant, I can’t thank them enough. Following a chat with Henry, he recommended 2 sessions per week initially. He concentrated on my neck and lower back for several sessions. Following a marked improvement, I now only need treatment once a week. Can now turn my head a lot more than I have been able to for years. My lower back pain is much improved but needs further treatment. Fantastic experience: The team are wonderful. I first arrived several years ago, on a walking stick and unable to live life properly due to a mystery mobility issue. After the first session I walked out stick free and after the 3rd session I could run. The mobility issue is still present but is managed through frequent treatment. I'd recommend to anyone.

I have continued to go to the clinic for preventative treatment which is the best therapy. Treatment is effective and efficient - no medication and no additional exercises required. Fantastic experience: I have been coming here off and on for years and cannot rate this clinic and ALL its staff highly enough. Its like going to see friends, every one of the 3 receptionists are so friendly, courteous and polite, nothing is ever a chore to them. I was seeing Jonathan for years and felt a tiny bit apprehensive when he side stepped and passed me to Henry. I should of known better Jonathan was so right. Henry is brilliant very polite, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Again I'm in very capable hands. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else, they definitely deserve 5 stars.
