Fantastic experience: I approached Physiodirect under the care of Mr. Tim Rickard in early March 2026. At the time of the therapy, I had real pain in the upper left arm, pain in my neck, difficulty sleeping on the left side arm and limited strength in the use of my left arm. I was of the view that I had a shoulder problem owing to an earlier diagnosis. Tim examined me and indicated that my problem was not the shoulder but a neck problem that he believed could be addressed. Due to the nature of my work where I sit for hours on the computer, he explained that I had a C4-C5 segment dysfunction with associated trapezius trigger points which was work-related leading to a neck disorder secondary to prolonged computer use. Over six sessions, Tim applied Manual therapy to the cervical spine and trapezius muscle including dry needling Test-retest approach. He also evaluated my working environment. At the end of the six sessions, the pain in my arm had reduced substantially, the pain though not gone was minimal and I could now sleep on my side. The range of movement was almost back to normal. My posture has also improved as I deliberately sit up based on his guidance and he gave me some exercises that I can do. I believe, based on my experience that Tim Rickard is a very experienced Physiotherapist, and I do strongly recommend his practice. Thank you, Tim!

Fantastic experience: Tim delivers life altering outcomes. I went to PhysioDirect’s Mapperley Park clinic many years ago with a very painful neck and back. I suffered for almost 5 months before seeing Tim, and once he diagnosed the problem I was pain free after 4 sessions. Fast forward 10 years and I had to contact Tim again with pain and limited movement to my right arm due to tennis elbow. After 3 successful sessions I am pain free and have full movement again - I really can’t recommend Tim enough. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Went to Tim this week with a bad back and muscle spasm down my right side to the point of not sleeping and constant pain , after two sessions this week of manipulation , massage and acupuncture feeling a whole lot better. Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a highly rated, experienced and knowledgeable physio then you can't go wrong with physio direct. Tim recommended an MRI after my first visit and his suspicions were spot on. His insight has saved me causing further irreversible wear to my cervical spine and nerve damage. He could of sold me an extensive treatment plan but knowing it wouldn't improve the cause, he just gave great advice. Safe to say you can trust Tim to give a sound and honest assessment. Highly recommended.

I never fail to be amazed at Tim’s knowledge to get me back on track. With his help I have got through an ACL rupture without surgery… yes I worked hard too but you need pushing in the right direction to achieve results.

Have great faith is this guy and his practise, various treatments for my back, knee joint, shoulder and Tim saying to me “ you just need a full body massage” I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
