Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Richard for a while now and can’t say enough good about him. What I really admire is his ability to adjust me with minimum force and such control that I feel very safe in his hands. I don’t hurt and ache after, which has been an experience in the past but instead leave the office feeling straight, tall and relieved!! A wonderful friendly and kind office that I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: When I first found Richard I was suffering from constant back pain and repeated periods of being laid up, despite seeing another practitioner at a different practice. Richard reassured himself that I had nothing seriously wrong with me via an x-ray and then set to work. He also gave me the most useful, targeted, exercises I've ever been given with the instruction to do them everyday for the rest of your life! I can't say that I do manage to do them everyday but I do consistently do them 4-5 days out of 7 every week. I am stronger, my back still needs attention but no where near as much as before and it hasn't had me laid up for 2 years now. Fantastic experience: I was suffering debilitating lower back pain and was truly worried about being able to work and exercise. I thought I’d give Cathedral Chiro a go, and I’m so pleased I did. Richard diagnosed me and explained the issue and the full workings of the back clearly and carefully. The treatment was very professional and thorough. He also gave me exercises to do. That same evening I felt much much better and was able to move much more freely. A few days after I had a second visit and I was back to 90% I can’t recommend them enough- I’m very happy!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. I felt very well looked after by Richard and Annette. The combination of some manipulation - 4 x 30 minute sessions over 4 weeks at the practice - and prescribed daily exercises totally cleared up an upper back and neck problem that had been causing me a lot of discomfort and worry. Fantastic experience: I do a lot of driving for work and I had suffered for about 2 years before I finally got round to looking after my health. I met Richard who assured me that it can be treated. After the 1st treatment I walked out not realising that I wasn't in any pain. In total I had 3 session and I've never felt better. Fantastic experience: Having suffered for a good couple of months with a painful stiff neck and back, I made the trip to see Richard at the CC&AC. Having limited experience of Chiropody, Richard explained everything that was happening with my back and what he could do to help me. Three sessions and numerous cracks later and I am not needing to go back. Fantastic experience: I have been coming to see Richard for about a year now after suffering for many years with severe scapular pain due to a trapped nerve in my spine. I had tried various treatments but never been to a chiropractor before and was recommended to see Richard. Initially I received weekly treatments which was fantastic and really helped so much to relieve the acute pain. I now go every 6 weeks or so as maintenance to relieve any slight issues or stiffness.I am so relieved to be free of the pain at last. Richard is so knowledgable and the adjustments and treatments he gave combined with the amazing back mobiliser have helped me so much. The appointments are never rushed and Richard and Annette are so friendly and caring and its a lovely relaxed environment. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Cathedral highly enough! I saw Richard for a neck and shoulder issue and he worked his magic. He explained things in detail, was very thorough, knowledgeable and set the expectation of how many sessions he believed I would need which was spot on! This is very reasonable as some clinics only offer a minimum block of sessions which can make it very expensive.

Fantastic experience: I started coming to Richard about a year ago, after experiencing back pain and not being sure who best to see. I had been putting off any help for a while, however found Cathedral Chiropractic online. A quick phonecall to Annette on reception had me booked in within the same week, and I had a one to one hour long session with Richard to discuss solutions. All treatment was laid out clearly and concisely at this time, and a plan was put into place to help relieve my back pain. X-ray machines are provided on site, so no need to go elsewhere. A year on, I now see Richard every time I have a small amount of backpain, and he sorts it every time, with a very friendly conversation along the way! Every treatment is just about right, not too much, and not too little. Access is even given to an online service, which allows you to undertake self help from home. Thank you very much Richard and Annette, you have been amazing!

Fantastic experience: I have been having chiropractic appointments with Richard for 1 year now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I went to him due to an injury resulting in ongoing pain and he helped my back feel better after just a few weeks. He gave me exercises to do between appointments which also helped. I have been seeing him every 3 months for maintenance of my back (which is completely my choice). He wants the best outcome for his patients and always spends the full 30min appointment with you. The student discount is also very much appreciated.

Upon my first visit, Richard (the chiro) assessed my situation and diagnosed mechanical back pain, with tension within the SI and facet joints of the lower back. Fantastic experience: About month about I fell awkwardly in a football match and cause a tightness across my back and neck was affecting my job as a barber. Rich was brilliant. He had the no nonsense approach to it all. He could see the problem and went to work. I had 3 sessions and I feel great again. Felt like he wanted to help me. Fantastic experience: I met Richard in April 2019 after suffering with severe back ache for a few months. The doctor couldn’t seem to help and I was at a loose end after suffering from back pain and tingling all the way down to my toes. I found Cathedral Chiropractors through a Google search and thought I’d get myself booked in at a last resort to try and ease the pain. The booking process was wonderful and Richard’s wife is lovely and friendly and got me an appointment for the following day. I arrived and was given a form to fill out and a diagram of the back to mark where I had pain. I was shown into the treatment room where Richard explained everything thoroughly and showed me on a spinal model what was wrong with my back. He informed me I had a herniated disc that would not be treatable without surgery. He offered to refer me to a orthopaedic surgeon he knew of but I decided to seek help myself. He was indeed correct and I had two discs partially removed. If I had not seen Richard, I would’ve lived with the pain and not thought anymore of it. He is kind, informative and tailors each appointment to you as an individual. He is very good at putting you at ease and as someone who gets nervous in medical environments, I forget all about where I am! I have been back once since for minor back pain and he managed to solve the issue for me in one session! Don’t hesitate and get yourself booked in!

Fantastic experience: This review is for Helen Stafford, the acupuncturist at this clinic. I recently attended and found Helen to be very welcoming, personable and smiling. It was my first time and even though I wasn't worried, I know Helen would have taken the time to explain everything if I had been. After a good discussion about health history, a nice heated couch awaits and you can drift off while the treatment takes place. Thoroughly recommended however allow plenty of time to get parked, Exeter is busy at all times around their location. Allow a good two hours on the parking meter too.

My back feels better in such a short time after a few years of pain and in less that 6 sessions I am feeling great. I like the way things was explained to me, What he is going to do and how and why. I had none of this having to pay upfront for my treatment in advance like I found with other chiropractor in the Exeter area having to pay a big amount upfront so from now on I will only be going to Cathedral Chiropractor. I had previously sought treatment from an osteopath, without success, so was a little sceptical that chiropractic would be any different but thought it was worth a go! So glad I did! At the time I booked I had terrible chest, shoulder, neck and back pains and it's fully gone. Fantastic experience: A Chiropractor is not someone I would choose to visit because if I did I'm obviously going to be experiencing pain and discomfort. However Richard is knowledgeable and has vast experience in his area of expertise. He explains everything clearly and importantly he's a good listener and has empathy for his patients. My Sciatica is now at a manageable level so day to day life has resumed. If I do have a flare up, I wont hesitate to contact Cathedral chiropractic again.

Fantastic experience: First time trying chiropractic, Richard walked me through everything and what chiropractic actually is before starting the treatment. I had a very tense shoulder and neck, constantly had headache and after one session I felt that the neck wasn’t as tense immediately, continued to 2 more follow up sessions. Had a great experience and definitely worth going if anyone had the same problem as me.

Fantastic experience: Richard is absolutely brilliant and has helped me so much. I was able to get an emergency appointment the day I called after a lower back spasm and barely able to walk. He talked me through exactly what he was going to do and gave me stretches and exercise to do at home as well. I noticed a massive difference after that first appointment and after my second appointment I felt almost back to normal. I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Cathedral Chiropractic and Acupuncture Clinic. I suffered from a hip / glute / back problem for a year or so, and tried everything from yoga to YouTube to 'fix' it. Eventually I realised I was chasing the problem around and getting nowhere. After a few minutes googling, like you, I saw the many positive reviews and thought I would give it a go - having never been to a Chiropractor before I didn't know what to expect. Within the first session, Richard had accurately diagnosed the problem, given me an exercise routine to do at home to improve it, and started treatment. My hip / back / glute felt the best they had in years. I have visited the clinic a few times now and am pain free and have regained almost 100% mobility. Wonderful. My only regret - I should have visited Cathedral Chiropractic & Acupuncture Clinic years ago!

I was suffering from neck pain, Richard quickly diagnosed me and made some suggestions of materials I should read regarding my condition. He explained everything in detail and the reasons behind why he uses certain techniques. He is very chatty and put me at ease very quickly after feeling nervous about having my adjustments done. Richard is the first chiropractor to ever give me exercises in order for me to take responsibility for my treatment. I am provided with the tools so that I can manage my own rehab, during the time between my appointments, which I think is a great approach. Fantastic experience: I have been going to see Richard and Annette for some 3 years now with an occurring back injury . Richard always manages to sort me out with 1 or 2 visits . Don't expect to be rushed as Richard takes the time to find out about your lifestyle and injuries to enable him to best treat you . My daughter is also a client .
