Fantastic experience: Excellent organisation. Very professional and effective

Fantastic experience: Yesterday was the first time I visited Magdalen Health. My practitioner was Daniel, who was very welcoming and friendly, creating a relaxed enviroment. He examined me carefully and treated me professionally. The treatment for my plantar fasciitis was a pain-free and pleasant experience, and I felt its benefit immediately. After the visit, I received a detailed treatment care plan via email designed to get me back to running as soon as possible. The receptionists were very helpful as well. Overall, I had an exellent experience at Magdalen Health. It is also at a great location in the city centre and with on-site parking. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: One of the best places ive taken my daughter. She is a medically complex kid and has struggled with meltdowns, anxiety, food refusals and loads more behavioural issues but after seeing Daniela, she has started understanding and communicating more, shes not melting down nearly as much as she used to, she is slowly accepting food again, she is a lot calmer and happier. I honestly recommend Daniela a million times, she has been amazing!

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting Magdalen health for a few months now but Charlotte is the best therapist I have seen both in exeter and further afield. She’s always professional and friendly and ensures she concentrates on areas that are affecting you the most. She has a real gift with massaging for pain relief and it’s a joy to go and see her. I can thoroughly recommend her hot stone massage which I’ve never tried before as an option but now I wouldn’t look back! Thanks Charlotte

Fantastic experience: It is some years since I last enjoyed a ‘hot stones’ massage but my visit to Charlotte last week reminded me of what I have been missing. Not just skillful massage easing knots in my muscles, but the additional heat helping to relax my whole body. Charlotte is cheerful, friendly person, but has a pleasant quiet manner that doesn’t jar when you want to relax.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful hot stones treatment with Charlotte. I’ve had hot stones treatments before but this was the best. Really deeply relaxed afterwards, much needed!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Holly at the Magdalen Health and Wellbeing Centre. I have visited several osteopaths and massage therapists, but my experience at the Magdalen Centre has been the best by far. Holly is an excellent and down-to-earth osteopath who is incredibly knowledgeable. She listens to my concerns and provides a comprehensive and holistic treatment experience. The reception staff are also very friendly and go out of their way to assist. I won’t go anywhere else now ~ thank you!

Fantastic experience: I had a bad horse riding accident many months ago but I was living with pain, stiffness and tiredness. Since seeing both Toby and Dan I have made great progress. I can't believe that I managed a long distance flight to the States recently and my body felt able to manage the whole experience with ease. My body is coming into alignment and while I was away I was rolling around on the floor as if I were young again. I am so pleased to have found this Practice.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to try Dan at Magdalen Health by my Pilates teacher, and another friend I do Pilates with, after I had struggled with a very sore neck for a couple of months. Dan is using cranial osteopathy and has identified a problem which he’s confident he can improve. All the staff are very polite and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I had a very acute random pain on my right foot big toe when I decided to visit them. Andrew the osteopath has been amazing from minute one, and he sorted me in just 2 sessions. He is patient kind and knowledgeable. I absolutely adore him.

When I came out of the treatment, I felt like I was floating on air, my pain was gone and I was so relaxed! I wish I could have a HS massage every day. Fantastic experience: I had been experiencing excruciating pain in my lower back for six weeks and it was interfering with my lifestyle. Holly was recommended to me by a friend of my daughter so I thought I would give it a try. I have just attended my third appointment and I am so much better. I do the exercises I was given and I am gradually weaning myself off pain killers. I can thoroughly recommend Holly, she certainly knows what she is doing. Thank you so much Holly.

Fantastic experience: Had my first consultation with Holly, she’s amazing! Thought I’d have a lot to explain post two pregnancies and trauma. She understood my pain issues and was able to help! Even tried acupuncture for the first time. Highly recommend for women’s health.

Fantastic experience: Recently visited for a micro needling facial as part of ongoing treatment with Charlotte to treat acne scarring. It was the most relaxing appointment of my whole life and the time, care and experience is so clear to see and feel!! The knowledge shared with me after on various skin care products and ways to prevent any further skin damage was so useful and I left feeling relaxed and really happy. Fantastic experience: We took our newborn daughter for several cranial osteopathy sessions with Dan and highly recommend. The treatment is very gentle but very effective, our daughter had some tension and tightness left from birth and Dan was able to relieve this. She was much happier and calmer following her treatments, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Amazing! After suffering a brain stem stroke in 2022, I was unaqble to swallow despite best efforts from NHS who threw everything they had at my rehab. After a couple of treatments with neuro osteopatyhy at Magdalen Health with Dan I regained the swallow reflex and have not looked back. Even the NHS hospital team have expressed amazement at the results. Osteopathy deserves to be joined up with NHS in my view.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend this practice enough. Neglect and old age was giving me real issues with my back. The combination of osteopathy with Toby and Dan, Yoga with Caroline and massage with Meghan has worked wonders. The reception staff are also incredibly helpful and will do their best to fit in treatments and move appointments for you - really important for me as my diary changes constantly.

Fantastic experience: This is such a lovely practice. The clinicians are excellent, the reception team are kind and accommodating. I always feel so looked after here. I get great treatment and leave feeling both physically better and equipped with a plan for at home to keep making progress. I highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: The treatment I have received from Holly has been exceptional in all respects. No need for grim details but suffice to say I was in a bad way when I first showed up. 3 sessions later and I have a reconditioned neck! A very nice touch is that Holly is informative about what she is trying to do and what that might achieve. It feels like being in the loop rather than 'done to.' I'm most impressed. May you all prosper down there!

Fantastic experience: Holly is a fabulous asset to Magdalen Health. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and is really helping me with my suspected Fibromyalgia and ongoing issues with my neck and back. She offers a holistic approach and our sessions are varied with each and every one benefitting me. She has a brilliant bedside manner and is friendly and approachable as well as professional. Positive experience: I booked a 60-minute Soft Tissue Massage, and I was very disappointed to realise that, although we started with a 10-minute delay, the massage ended on time, and no 10-minute courtesy was added, nor was the delay acknowledged. The massage itself was good, but if it's a 50-minute massage, then it should also be advertised as such.

Fantastic experience: I approached Magdalen Health after a total hip replacement left me with dreadful lower back pain which affected my everyday tasks and well-being. I could hardly walk, cook, do housekeeping, shopping and many other things we all take for granted. I had tried physio, acupuncture, hydrotherapy and exercising over five months, all to no avail. I first saw Toby who used intensive physical manipulation, but my back problem didn’t seem to want to respond to that, so Toby suggested I saw Dan, who takes a different approach. I have been having Cranial Osteopathy sessions with Dan and I must say that he has transformed my life. He is very calm, and listens to your problem and works with you to get the best from a session. This form of intervention has been marvellous for me and now I can do so much more. My back pain has gone and I’m going from strength to strength. Both Dan and Toby work together to get the best outcome for their clients and I couldn’t be more happier. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is suffering from pain and discomfort.

After the first appointment with Eduardo my back was sorted, I could walk again and I had no pain. Fantastic experience: I took my 3 month baby girl to Dan for osteopathy due to poor day napping and being very sick - I was concerned her forceps delivery could have exacerbated these problems. My family have had amazing results from osteopathy in the past, and I heard Dan specialised in treating babies. We both found Dan to be very gentle and calming, and clearly very experienced with treating the tension in her head and tummy. After four sessions she has noticably relaxed more into her naps and her weight gain has rocketed with much less milk being brought up after feeds. I highly recommend a visit, thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Phil is an excellent coach. I was introduced to him in the spring as I was looking to improve my running and have some structure to it. I am a slower runner and my goal is to feel stronger in races and have more confidence in my own running. Phil takes the time to understand your goals and get to know you as a person. He has given structure to my running and is there to support throughout with continuous feedback, contact and encouragement. The Wednesday evening running group is fun, varied and open to runners of all abilities. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Phil, It’s a privilege to be coached by someone who has achieved so many sporting achievements himself. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: With Phil’s help I have managed to break that cycle of enthusiastic over-training, injury and despondency! Phil quickly assessed what I needed, my strengths, and the areas I could develop. I know what my goals are. I have a clear plan how I am going to reach them. I am enjoying running and I am getting better.

Fantastic experience: After completing many 5/10 k's, a few half marathons and a couple of marathons I had started to lose faith in my running ability and form. I had downloaded and followed many plans but was becoming disheartened and felt like I was trudging along and the enjoyment around running was disappearing. I was introduced to Phil in May this year and already I have gained so much confidence and knowledge. Phil responds quickly to any communication and the training plans are set out in an easy to understand language pushing me but still being achievable! Phil has also offered adaptable nutrition and fuelling advice; these have all been valuable and supported my longer runs. As a coach, Phil has struck the perfect balance between being supportive, reassuring and encouraging but also knowing when to push me and hold me accountable. I’d 100% recommend Phil for anyone wanting to to step up their training, achieve goals or for anyone who is new to running.

Fantastic experience: Since being coached by Phil, the difference in my running ability has been amazing. Having mainly only ever been a ‘fun’ runner, I never believed that I would be capable of achieving the pace that I am now able to run. Phil has changed and improved my running technique – with his guidance and advice I feel much stronger and my running style has changed dramatically, for the better! I met Phil earlier this year, when beginning training for the London Marathon. I have run other marathons and have ‘got around’ but this time, after injury and COVID, I felt quite anxious about the task ahead. Through the weekly running club at Magdalen Health (run by Phil), I found a renewed confidence and enjoyment. Training became ‘fun’ again and each week was different and challenging. I particularly like Phil’s style of coaching with the interval training and each week I could feel myself progress. With my monthly coaching with Phil, I have looked forward to the sessions that he has set me each week. Each one has been structured and varied and, at times, quite challenging but with his support and encouragement I have accomplished a new level of running. Phil’s style of coaching is one of nurturing and helping you achieve your best, whatever that might be. It doesn’t matter if you are an 8 minute miler or a 13 minute miler, he gives you the support and guidance to individually improve. This has been so important for me as I have never been a faster runner and was a little unconfident in my ability, however, by joining the Magdalen Health running group I have met like minded people and with Phil’s coaching I seen my confidence and ability grow.

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Phil Wylie to take me from a 55 year old unstructured runner to a marathon ready runner. His coaching, structured support and “pick me ups” when it all went wrong has been outstanding. Planning my training to fit around my work (my biggest worry) has given me the confidence and ability to get to my sub 4hr 30 target. I would absolutely recommend Phil to anyone who wants to develop their running ability no matter the level of capability!

Fantastic experience: Been using magalan health for a while now as i have back problems and working on ambulances i need to look after myself. Honestly they are brilliant, they really like to get to the route of the problem and Amandine really is brilliant i would recommend her or anyone there BIG thumbs up

Fantastic experience: Currently having treatment by Dan and I couldn’t recommend high enough. The level of professionalism and skill is fantastic. I have previously had treatment for a back pain and now I am working on a shoulder recovery. I feel totally at ease and very well looked after when I visit, from the greeting at reception, the newly introduced COVID-19 measures, the treatment itself and the post treatment rebooking/payments. Cranial osteopathy, at Dans skill level is unlike anything.

Negative experience: I am feeling very disheartened by this company. They have claimed to be staying open for people who are in extreme pain and having their condition worsen over the Covid-19 pandemic, but they are now charging inassessable prices. This is a horrible example of business ethics and companies putting profits over people over this already difficult time. I am disappointed this is happening so close to my home. The company claims this is for cleaning fees.... I am sorry, don't you normally clean after all treatments? Very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I have suffered with intermittent back pain since dislocating my right shoulder over 30 years ago but have been in constant pain for the last 15+ months. Over the years I have tried a variety of different treatments, some of which have been successful to a greater or lesser degree. However when I came across Myofascial Release Therapy I decided to give it a try. I had my first appt. with Aaron Goodwin about 10 days ago and was amazed at the improvement in just this one treatment. The reduction in pain and the increase in mobility was unbelievable. I have since had a second treatment and booked a third and would strongly recommend anyone with similar symptoms to see if Aaron can achieve such excellent results for them.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak more highly of Jennifer Doe at Magdalen Health. After decades of different professionals treating problems with my back she diagnosed what my problem really was in minutes. Her subsequent treatment has improved matters significantly. I am very grateful to her.

I was in severe pain associated with breastfeeding and was struggling to find a solution elsewhere as most professionals were unsure of what the problem was. A few sessions with Dan entirely solved the problem and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Very enjoyable sessions as well

Fantastic experience: Daniel at Exeter Osteopaths was recommended to me to see if he could help my 4 week old son. Following a traumatic birth my little boy had latching issues. Daniel found tension in his head, neck and jaw and treated this over 5 sesions (reviewing after each whether further sessions would be of benefit). We've seen great improvements with my son's latch and also winding. Daniel's approach is calm, professional and reassuring. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

Fantastic experience: My neck locked up after Brazilian Ju Jitsu and for days I was in a lot of pain, went to see Dan at Exeter Osteopaths and he completely released my neck and mid back. 2 days later I was completely mobile again and even returned to BJJ later in the week. For good measure I went back the next week and Dan realigned some imbalances in my body and now it feels better than ever. Great knowledge, therapeutic manner, generous explanations and all round fantastic osteopath that i would recommend to anyone.
