Fantastic experience: I have a history of knee injuries and combined with a desk-based job, over time, I had begun to experience back and neck pain. I had considered chiropractic adjustment a few times, but never got around to finding a chiropractor, but rather tried to manage my issues with stretching. A friend with a similar background, mentioned that he had tried it and that it helped, so I contacted Optimal Chiropractic and I'm very pleased that I did. Following the initial consultation with Tom, I noticed immediate benefits, with my back being a lot freer and the tightness in my neck, which often led to headaches, easing significantly. Since then, I have continued to experience positive results, which I have culminated in permanent improvement to my posture and general mobility. I have been a patient at Optimal Chiropractic for over 4 years now, firstly with Tom and then Pippa, and would not hesitate to recommend them, so much so, that both my wife and sister-in-law are now patients too.

Fantastic experience: I first went to Optimal Wellness Centre on a recommendation and I'm so glad I did! I injured my hip 5 years ago and more recently the pain had started to get worse. Positive experience: I was a broken, twisted specimen with a scoliosis in my spine when I started treatment with Pippa. A year later and I stand upright, friends ask if I’ve lost weight (I haven’t, but my posture has improved so that I am an inch taller). I can now do a long-ish (8-9mile) walk again, without constant lower back pain. I’m not completely pain free, but I’m nearly seventy so .., I wasn’t sure about the cost/benefit at first, but I now consider signing up with OW as one of my best investments. I would give five stars, but I guess perfection is a rare thing My partner sees Pippa too, and she reports similar improvements, albeit she was fitter than me to start with

Fantastic experience: When I first saw Pippa my neck was practically locked, it was painful to move my head in any way. With time and patience Pippa eventually loosened my neck and the movement returned. With regular visits Pippa helps me to maintain pain free movement. Pippa has been fantastic at improving and maintaining my quality of life and would highly recommend her to anyone needing chiropractic care.

Fantastic experience: I booked an appointment with Optimal Wellness when I was looking for a chiropractor and they were offering a great deal for an initial assessment. I have had trouble with my back for years and, after another painful episode, decided to finally see someone. Pippa is fantastic and makes you feel very comfortable. In the assessments, everything is explained really clearly and I am able to see how much my posture and alignment has improved already. Also, no nagging or niggly pain in my back, which is fantastic. Fantastic experience: I was extremely sceptical when I arrived, but upon entering the centre I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. I was called for my appointment on time , I was introduced to Richard my physio who again was very professional. Our conversation lasted for about 30 minutes where he took a full medical history, coming from a nursing background I found this extremely reassuring. He then did some physical tests, and then assured me that he could help me. I was to return a few days later for the results, which were quite shocking but not worrying I sort of felt that I knew what was coming. I was told that I needed a course of treatment, but I was not pressurised into I to taking up the treatment. I have started the treatment and I am pleased that I have done so, my tension is reducing and so too is my back pain. Richard is very good , he puts you at ease, and is very warm and empathic. I highly recommend Richard along with all the staff at the Optimal Wellness Centre.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending Optimal Wellness Centre since March 2021 and continue to do so. The centre was offering a free spinal health check and assessment with no further obligation. I had several health issues and was aware I needed a chiropractor to assess me. Tom was my allocated chiropractor and he immediately put me at ease. He explained his findings and how he could help me if I wished to continue with further appointments. At no time did I feel pressured into having further appointments, it was totally my decision. I decided to go ahead as I knew Tom could help me and I already trusted him. I am very glad that I did continue with appointments at the centre. The issues I was experiencing have now greatly improved and I feel so much better in general. I continue to have regular maintenance appointments at the centre as I know this is important to prevent any of the issues returning. I tend to see Jo, the practice manager, at most of my appointments and have met Jess, the receptionist, on a number of occasions. I have only met Pippa, the director, once. All the staff are very friendly, kind, caring, welcoming and helpful. In my opinion there is a mutual respect and trust between staff and clients. Therefore, from my own very positive experiences I would highly recommend Optimal Wellness Centre. Thank you all very much.

Fantastic experience: Been going here for a number of months now due having back and neck pain after waking up and throughout the day. They take great care and explain what adjustments they're doing and why. They also take photos of your posture and measure your bodies ability to move in various ways at regular intervals and its great to see the progress I have made which has ultimately meant that I am now free of the pains I used to get. Definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Nothing interested, it's just an ad and they advertise themselves professionally but when you get there you'll see it's totally different, I don't recommend it, it's just a waste of time and money.

Negative experience: I attended for a few months. The practitioner was extremely professional, kind and efficient. However, the sessions never lasted more than 5 minutes. At £30 a session I decided not to continue.

After experiencing issues during my first pregnancy which the doctor was unable to get to the bottom of, I visited Optimal who were able to resolve my issues. Since then (2013) I have visited Optimal in a monthly basis and both of my children have regular adjustments too. Fantastic experience: First time visiting a chiropractor after having suffered with migraines for over 15 years. Although migraines are very complicated, these sessions have reduced the number of attacks I have. I didn't realise my posture and spine were as bad as it was before finding Optimal. Abi & Jo are very professional, not to mention friendly. Their COVID friendly regulations always make you feel safe and I would definitely reccomend this place to others.

Fantastic experience: The practice has a lovely friendly atmosphere, Tom is very professional and takes the time to talk through each procedure and stage of your treatment with you. He always makes sure your happy and comfortable before moving on to the next stage of your treatment plan. I was very impressed with the technology that allowed me to have images and measurements taken, this was very helpful to be able to actually see the reasons for the pain I was experiencing and then the progress I was making after treatment. Tom was also very reassuring before performing any adjustments to my back as these can be a little daunting, but I was able to relax and feel completely confident that I was in safe hands.

Fantastic experience: I've been receiving treatment at Optimal Chiropractic for a few years. I have a chronic lower back problem, and without the treatments I get here I wouldn't be able to function properly let alone work full time. Everyone in the practice is so friendly and welcoming, and always at the end of the phone to offer advice.

Fantastic experience: I initially chose Optimal because they have an option to book online, which was a huge deciding factor for me because I get anxiety about making telephone calls. Even before I arrived for my first appointment, the confirmation email put me very much at ease as it laid out their social distancing and safety practises in very clear terms so that I knew exactly what to expect. I had minimal anxiety about attending that first appointment, and when I arrived the staff proved to be welcoming, professional and friendly. Even when I missed an appointment and panicked that I would have to pick up the phone to rebook, they reacted with compassion and understanding, and allowed me to rebook my appointment via email. I wish I'd had the courage to book an appointment with them sooner. In terms of my recovery, I've noticed an improvement in my range of movement and my posture, and while the discomfort I arrived with has not yet completely gone, I cannot stress enough how much more manageable it is. It no longer occupies my every thought, and even on the days where it flares up again, Abi has equipped me with the knowledge and tools to use at home to speed up recovery and get me back on track.

Fantastic experience: Optimal Chiropractic has been great for me so far. Abigail has been extremely helpful and efficient in significantly improving my back and sacroiliac joint pain, and in identifying the root cause of the problem, which nobody else had. I will continue using their services along with anti-inflammatory diet and exercise, and would recommend Optimal to anybody needing a professional opinion and treatment regarding their body mechanics.

Fantastic experience: I went to Optimal as a last roll of the dice, as the shoulder problem I had couldn't even be diagnosed following many consultations including an x-ray, ultrasound scan and an MRI scan, not to mention numerous visits to a hospital physio. Tom at Optimal was immediately able to tell me what the issue was and we agreed a plan of action to treat it. Within a few sessions I noticed a significant improvement in my movement and more importantly, a reduction in pain! The treatment process is always clearly explained at each session and is never painful or uncomfortable. I particularly like the assessment software used, which demonstrates the patient's posture and movement "before" and "after" a given number of treatments. The improvement is amazing! I am now happy to say that my shoulder problem is all but gone and my visits are mainly to keep me on track. Needless to say, I would (and have) recommended Tom and Optimal to many people that I know.

Fantastic experience: I started treatment with Tom in November after complaining of discomfort in my left scapula. Tom informed me I had a muscular imbalance on the left side of my body and the right side was over compensating for this which led to my left side being weaker. This made perfect sense as my posture was very poor after sitting at a computer for many years in a slumped position. It was very much a slow burner over time and a swimming injury prompted me to be concerned about my left shoulder pain. After several sessions my shoulder pain has been eliminated completely and I no longer have trouble sleeping on my left side. My recent test results have displayed big improvements in my balance, agility and above all posture. The infamous "text neck" has become a thing of the past! Tom is a consumate professional and nothing short of a magician. I never thought my chronic shoulder pain would go but it's vanished. Fantastic experience: I have suffered with lower back pain and more recently sciatica. Abi at Optimal has been amazing. I was unable to walk with the pain from sciatica and couldn't drive. Abi knew immediately what was wrong when I attended the clinic. Within a couple of weeks I was back to normal. Fantastic experience: I’ve been visiting Abi at Optimal since December 2020. I’ve had a nagging shoulder injury for over a year and despite having sports massages, it never really goes away, so Abi put together a treatment plan with the aim that if my posture and alignment improved, so too might the shoulder injury if my spine were to function more efficiently. I’m just over halfway through the plan and I’m already feeling the benefits as I’m able to turn my head without pain which I hadn’t been able to do in a very long time. I’ve also noticed some unexpected benefits as my back flexibility has improved too. After each adjustment, I walk out of the clinic with a feeling of floating on air - it’s lovely! Plus, while being in lockdown and not being able to go anywhere other than the supermarket, I have really enjoyed the trips into Cardiff for my adjustments so having this treatment has also benefitted my mental well-being during these challenging times. Fantastic experience: I have been attending Optimal Chiropractic & Wellness Centre for almost 8 years now. When I first started my treatment I came suffering due to poor alignment and chronic muscle spasm, which affected not only my work but also my home and leisure activities. I am currently following a maintenance plan, seeing Abby every 3-4 weeks so she can correct any misalignments and reinforce the right stretches and exercises that support her programme for me. Fantastic experience: I have attended Optimal Chiropractic for several years after being recommended it by my son. When I started here I suffered chronic back pain from my days as a gymnast. Within a few visits this had eased considerably and the improvement continued so that I am now almost completely pain free. I then introduced my daughter, who is a Welsh U21 Hockey Player to the practice and she also really benefits from her regular visits. Lovely, friendly staff too.

Fantastic experience: I can heartily recommend Optimal, I had really poor posture and Lower back and leg stiffness following a bout of sciatica. The team there have been able to greatly improve both posture and stiffness, almost from the start. I am now in 'maintenance' mode, seeing Tom once every six weeks to just to help keep any issues in check. Prices are reasonable, staff very pleasant and they are flexible around appointments. Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to optimal for at least 2 Years now and the change in my body has been amazing. I had a lot of aches and pains from previous injuries, but by coming to see Tom, he has worked on the injuries and now I don’t suffer with pain from them. Fantastic experience: I initially made contact with Optimal chiropractic and wellness center due to a recurring issue with my back and neck, and wanting to improve my overall posture. I've been working with Dr. Tom Barnett for the past few weeks and have already felt and seen a massive adjustment in my posture, and a reduction in the stiffness/soreness in my neck and back. Tom takes the time to explain everything he is doing regarding the adjustments and helps you feel completely at ease, knowing you're in safe hands (literally!). I look forward to my sessions every week now and they're quickly becoming one of the highlights! The instant relief I feel once the adjustments are done is hard to describe. I stand taller, walk with more confidence and less pain! Fantastic experience: Great results from Tom! After having constant back pain for years I decided enough was enough and booked an appointment. At the first assessment pictures and other tests were taken that showed me I was completely misaligned. After a course of treatments I can now say that I'm virtually pain free. I can't believe how much of a difference its made to me, not only physically but mentally. Tom is amazing, really kind and professional. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Staff are very friendly and helpful. Have been suffering from a lot of lower back pain as time went by I had tried going to the doctor who would refer me to the hospital and physio in the end went less took more pills for the pain. I fell ill all of a sudden focused on my illness. I felt as I was drowning could not get a rest from the amount of pain I was in,my daughter suggested if I would try going to see a chiropractor at the time I was willing to see who ever might've offer me help .Tom and the staff have been the soo helpful.
