Fantastic experience: If you suffer from a chronic condition like Fibromyalgia, look no further. Gareth has treated my symptoms (chronic pain, brain fog, etc.) and the progress is amazing. The pain and inflammation have subsided, and my balance has improved unbelievably. This comes after years of exploring other options-sports therapy, massage, acupuncture, chiropractors-without the same level of success. I give Gareth and his team my highest recommendation.

Fantastic experience: 5/5 I came in with what I thought was an injury I would never be able to fully recover from. After having my first appointment with Jack I knew I was in safe hands and that he was fully committed to my recovery. The treatment itself did not follow what people would typically associate with a physical therapist but I would plead that you keep an open mind. It’s important to understand that your recovery doesn’t stop after each appointment, you still need to put in the effort outside of your appointments to help promote healing. All of this was explained clearly and was easy to follow. After 9 appointments I can say that I’ve fully recovered and feel better than I have in years. Fantastic experience: I have seen numerous physiotherapist, osteopaths, thai massage and just about every other kind in the last 27years plus. I've carried an injury to my back thats caused pain in my ribs for 15 years. My doctor and private physio both told me i needed a corticosteroid injection in my shoulder (it's been agony for 12 months with limited mobility) Im roughly 8 appointments in and i feel like a different person. Pain i was use to has gone, my mobility is nearly what it was when i was a teen.

Fantastic experience: I did something to my back and it was so bad i could hardly get out of bed, couldn’t get dressed, very painful. I thought it would just get better but after a couple of weeks it was still as bad. i booked in to see Luke and he did an initial assessment and i was very impressed with the information he managed to give me. He booked me on a couple of days a week. Slowly i started getting my mobility back and now i think about 6 weeks in, i’ve gone from being in constant pain all day and night to being about 95% back to normal. I have a few more sessions booked so i’m sure by the end of it i will be in a much stronger position. I can’t say enough good things about Luke. He is a magician. Fantastic experience: Although it is early days in my treatment regime I am feeling the benefit already. Every visit improves my condition so that I no longer have any great pain. I've now had a number of treatments and they have had a remarkable effect dealing with decades of damage done to my back and neck by a whole range of sports. The exercises are essential too. I was not looking for miracle cures but it is not far off!

Fantastic experience: Jack is an absolute stud, would recommend him and Cardiff Pain and Performance to anyone. I have had multiple injuries throughout my many years of sport, including multiple surgeries and concussions. Jack, however, appears to be a recent graduate of Hogwarts as he was able to fix them without any problems, still don’t know how. And left me feeling more supple, confident and secure in my body all of which I haven’t felt this much since I was a wee lad. Fantastic experience: My wife and myself have both been to the clinic to see Gareth regarding back issues. After a few sessions he was very honest and genuine by saying " I think I've done enough now there's no need to come back unless you think you need to" He could've said nothing and taken more money for a few weeks more but didn't. My back plays up a bit now and then but I do a few exercises he's given me and it sorts it for a while. I might be making another trip there soon if the exercises aren't enough this time.

Fantastic experience: I can’t speak highly enough about the treatment I have received from Luke Smith. I was having severe pain in my lower back, so much so that I couldn’t even turn over in bed. It was affecting my work a lot. After the first session it began to feel easier and after a couple more sessions it had more or less disappeared. Amazing. Luke emailed exercises for me to complete and that kept me pain free. I’m approaching 70 so there were other issues, ie knee and forearm. Fantastic experience: I was recommended the centre by a work colleague, after I mentioned that I’d had chronic shoulder pain for over a year and had tried three other treatment options already. If I’m honest, I was initially a little sceptical about the length of sessions and style of treatment, but was desperate so figured I would stick with it. I’m glad I did. I’ve gone from not being able to lift my arm above shoulder height without feeling quite a lot of discomfort to being virtually pain free within 2 months. The staff are really friendly and able to explain everything they do in detail. I agree with the other good reviews. These guys are the real deal. Can’t recommend them highly enough for anyone who’s sick of suffering pain that they can’t seem to shift.

Fantastic experience: A friend, and a P-DTR practitioner recommended the clinic and Gareth to me last year because of my ongoing/chronic spinal issues, but I somehow didn't get around to booking an appointment. Recently though, my condition deteriorated rapidly and I was in the throws of an acute episode of severe spinal nerve pain, barely able to move, let alone walk. I contacted Gareth, not knowing how I would even get to Cardiff but he agreed to see me at very short notice. Being a soft tissue therapist myself, I was very impressed with his honesty about how much/little he could do for me that day given my extreme circumstance. He explained everything very clearly and at a professional level that I very much appreciated. He was able to reduce some soft tissue tension/spasm during my appointment and very kindly wrote a very concise and professional referral letter that I was able to forward to the spinal specialist. We have, between us, agreed to try another, new, therapy when I am able to get there and to hopefully be able to reduce a little more inflammation and pain. I can highly recommend Gareth for his professionalism and knowledge surrounding his own capabilities at that time. As a professional myself, I know how easily some practitioners can charge and treat 'just because', without any deeper knowledge or due care for the consequences. Fantastic experience: I had been suffering chronic lower back/Coccyx pain for a couple of years & it was having a serious impact on the quality of my life. I hadn't even been in to the office for almost a year as to sit in the office was so painful. To travel any distance, whether a short car journey or long flight resulted in excruciating pain, often bringing me tears & making me feel very low. After physio referrals which did nothing to help, I was feeling completely let down by the NHS who were just interested in pain management referrals & steroid injections rather than getting down to the actual causes of the problems. After a steroid injection failed I felt the pain was never going to go. I was discussing the issue with a work colleague who told me to give CPPC a try. I was sceptical, but had nothing to lose & opted for a free assessment in the first instance. Gareth came up with a plan which seemed completely off kilter to my condition but if nothing else I actually felt listened too and not fobbed off for the first time & was willing to give anything a try. Sceptical me was well and truly put in my place and after just 2 weeks I was seeing considerable improvement in my condition/pain and by my 3rd session I felt like a new person. The chronic pain had all but gone & I'm feeling fitter & healthier than I have done in a very long time. I cannot recommend Gareth & his team highly enough and I'm still amazed at the massive improvement I've experienced in such a short time. Fantastic experience: I recently attended the clinic for a muscular injury to my neck. The assessment and treatment of the injury has been successful after only a couple of sessions, and the explanations by Gareth of the injury itself and what he was doing in each session was excellent. Fantastic experience: My knee hasn't flexed for over 3 years since I over-stretched it. The pain has been constant, mobility limited and getting in and out of chairs has been a painful embarrassment. I've tried various therapists unsuccessfully, while a surgeon recommended knee replacement, which I don't think would have been advisable for various reasons. I've been seeing Jack at Cardiff Pain for the past 2 weeks, and after he loosened the over-tight tendons either side of my knee in the first treatment my sense of stability improved considerably, along with my walking, pain has decreased and I'm sleeping better. It's still early days and there's quite a way to go but Jack's unique hands-on approach is what I have been looking for.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service from Luke Smith, very friendly and no problem with asking him any question. After receiving 8 treatments the pain in my back has reduced by 80%. To help with the inflammation in my back Luke recommended a supplement as I was unable to take ibuprofen, I also purchased these from the clinic and I have felt a big improvement. While visiting the clinic I purchased a pair of blue light glasses which are excellent for driving and they also came with a pair of glasses to use while watching tv.
